“Free Agents To Be Named Later”
March 17th, 2020It seems one NFL talking head is VERY bullish on the Brady-to-Bucs bandwagon.
Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports believes if future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady brings his 43-year old bones to Tampa Bay, the Bucs will become a force in the NFC.
And why is that? Jones believes less picks equals wins. He said the passing weapons the Bucs possess are a dream for any quarterback.
More important, Jones believes the brand name “Brady” will be a magnet for other players and allow Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht to stockpile talent at below market value.
You can see and hear Jones’ take below.
“Just don’t turn over the ball 30 times like our old guy did. Come in here, let’s win some football games.”@jjones9 makes the case for Tom Brady to land in Tampa Bay. pic.twitter.com/jbFqJvwYER

Doesn’t he realize that none of those 30 interceptions were on JayMiss?
#TotallyCLUELESS!

Who? No doubt part of The Buc Bonzee Broadcasting Network placing Brady in Carolina…
March 17th, 2020 at 11:09 am
Not according to one Michael Clayton. He is a fervent Jay-Miss apologist and he dared to go where no other analyst has gone by being overly critical of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin’s role on all the interceptions. He actually went there, to criticize the play of two All-Pro receivers.
Evans and Godwin would be top 10 players in the NFL if they had a QB in the top 100.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:09 am
Exactly.
Bucs need to do everything they can to sign Brady ASAP. PERIOD.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:09 am
Here comes the fan boys to tell us how wrong Jones is and that the dreamy pass weapons are 1 of the many reasons for all the picks, none of which have anything to do with Winston himself.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:11 am
Couch Fan,
Michael Clayton said that this morning. He stated the Bucs WRs were “good” but not great.
He’s lost his mind.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:13 am
Lol Wn what does Clayton think he is He was Meh not Ok
March 17th, 2020 at 11:14 am
With Brady, the Bucs are a solid right tackle and a good young RB away from playoff contention.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:18 am
D-Rome,
If thats true then nobody has “great” receivers. Lol
March 17th, 2020 at 11:22 am
Maybe Perriman will take a hometown discount to stay and catch Brady passes.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:34 am
WHAT?
What kind of numbnuts blames Evans and Godwin for Winston’s ints?
Have you not seen the video of the 21 DROPPED int’s? Of which at least 15 should have been ints?
Winston could easily have thrown 45 ints last season.
You don’t think every NFL team has not analyzed all those dropped int’s and factored them into the Winston FA equation?
:sigh:
Casual fans…too bad they can’t be neutered for the betterment of fandom…

D-Rome Says:
“Where is Buccaneer Bonzai?”
I’m here.
He isn’t signed yet, but…it is clear I was wrong on a few things:
• I said Winston would be the starting QB for the Bucs in 2020. By all appearances, I seem to have been WRONG.
• I said Tom Brady would be back with the Patriots in 2020. By all appearances, I seem to have been WRONG.
I can man up and eat crow. Scrumptious.
Truth be told, IF we land Brady, I could not be happier about the meal. Still between the Chargers and us though. We could still not get him, and if we don’t, I’ll have to puke up the crow, but consider it eated for now, with nothing but feathers left.
My name is linked to the plate.

If Brady signs with the Bucs, he is going to need to meet up with the receivers somewhere to get some practice with them. Since he probably wouldn’t see the playbook officially until some time in July at the rate things are progressing, it might mean having to do some off the books training.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:36 am
Brady wants Antonio Brown as well! We have to be willing to take on that headache as well.

I was only joking, lol.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:40 am
Guys, it doesn’t make a diff if Brady comes here. The 2020 NFL season is going to be cancelled. Mark my words. You heard it first here.
March 17th, 2020 at 11:40 am
Why would the GOAT wanna come here when all the receivers run the wrong route and make the QB look bad?
March 17th, 2020 at 11:45 am
But BB you got Brees correct lol.
Good to see you man up and take your medicine. Not many do on here. Kudos.

Fair enough! All appearances are Bridgewater to Carolina. Who knows?!

“Blameless” lives!!! And now his apologists are going truly off the rails.
No running game…OK I can buy that to a degree although ROJO went off the final two games and ended up with a decent season. And did that running game turn it around for “Blameless”…not really…his vaunted 5000 yard offense up an amazing three points in four quarters of those final two second halves.
THREE points…NO TD’s….oh but we lost not because of that or the pick six to start overtime….nope lets lay it all on a rookie kicker who apparently should sae our franchise QB’s bacon.
But his targets…ME13 and Godwin are what MADE JW…Brate certainly helped over the years. How many times did these guys make acrobatic physical moves to save a play?

AB is replacing Perriman with Tom Terrific as his new life coach while night lighting as the Bucs SB-winning QB! Make it happen!
March 17th, 2020 at 2:14 pm
If the buc s were all in to Bryan Bulga Brady would probably sign. This team doesn’t even have a right tackle
March 18th, 2020 at 6:39 am
“Brady wants Antonio Brown as well!…”
I would do that in a second. AB has run his butt out of the NFL. He would have to take a prove it deal. Imagine AB with ME and Godwin!! OMG! I am of course ignoring that the NFL has yet to clear him for play…
