John Lynch gets aggressive to leapfrog the Bucs
Huuuuge trade in the NFL is going down, and it involves the team picking just ahead of Tampa Bay.
The 49ers are moving defensive lineman DeForest Buckner to the Colts for the Indianapolis’ first-round draft pick, No. 13 overall. The Bucs are slated to pick at No. 14.
The Colts will Buckner $21 million a year, per Adam Schefter of BSPN. Massive money right there.
But the Colts need a quarterback and that’s Joe’s focus. They could have drafted one at No. 13, and now they won’t. And the 49ers certainly won’t be selected a QB in front of the Bucs.
So who will start at QB for the Colts. Did they do this deal because they believe they have Philip Rivers locked up in free agency? Joe thinks America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, is a very interesting fit in Indianapolis. They’ve got a true No. 1 running back and a standout offensive line.
In case you just woke up, the Jameis camp was free to negotiate with any team as of noon today.

it’s great lynch was able to distance himself from the bucs losing franchise and surround himself with 49er and Bronco greats to ensure his success. I was wrong about lynch i thought he’d choke but by surrounding himself with winners and not buccaneers has proved me wrong.
one thing for sure is that lynch will never have to worry about the bucs challenging his franchise for nfc supremacy

Winston as the starter on any team is a joke–unless it’s an emergency. And yeah, let’s just trade our first round pick so we can get Winston anyway to be our QB. Notsomuch. Winston will never be the face of anyone’s franchise. Thinking Rivers or Bridgewater to Indy before Winston.

Lol I didn’t read the comments above about Kinlaw. Guess I’m not the only one that thought that. I’d rather have Kinlaw over Chaisson, although I think he’s a freak athlete (like a Montez Sweat guy), I just feel like Chaisson is more of a gamble with his limited time at the position. Very raw, very talented. High risk/reward.

They could go WR if Emmanuel Sanders doesn’t come back. Although that might be wishful thinking. They have invested heavily in trenches with their draft picks under Lynch. I could see them taking Kinlaw or another top DL to replace Deforest Buckner. Just means we will go OL, Marlon Davidson, or trade down ( I am not a Chaisson fan).

I am fully at the point I want us to miss out on all the QBs so treating players the way they have is not rewarded. I want Mr. “it doesnt matter who the QB is” to try to win with Blaine Gabbert or Ryan Griffin. This guy is so full of crap cause he says that and now he is throwing the bank at Brady. What I find funny is if you simply believe someone is the best option for their team the have to be a “fanboy”. You do know that I have season tickets to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers not to any one player?
That being said I have opinions and I can express my opinions and support what I feel is right and say screw off for the ones I dont support. I still have tickets and will be at every game, but I simply have very little belief that anything they are doing at QB is going to work and even if it does work it will be so short lived that come this time two years from now we will be sitting here having these same discussions again. This is what you people dont get, Arians is doing this 100% for himself and is trading in any possible future for his personal success now, even though it is unlikely to work. I personally have zero respect for the man after this entire process as he handled this about with little class as possible. He has done nothing but hurt a young man that played through a broken hand, torn up knee and worked as hard as possible for him last year. So lets just say Arains thought he was the worst player in the league, why bad mouth him the way he has over and over and over again? Just let him leave and move on but no lets destroy him on the way out so everyone thinks he is useless. This is probably just to save face as that is what he does blame everyone else and take zero accountability. Heck if I were Jameis even if they came back and offered me $40 million I would rather play as a backup for half as much than play for this man ever again. What’s delusional about Brady leading the Bucs to the playoffs? The man has been to 9 Super Bowls.

EXACTLY. What does that tell anyone? THIS is where Winston plays and the fanbase is pretty split about keeping him or throwing him away HARD. Winston is a joke around the NFL…I have not seen ANY calling for people saying “Oh yeah, let’s go get Jameis and have be the face of our franchise.” Winston will be Joe Burrow’s backup in CIN. And he may Tim Tebow’s teammate in baseball one day. Except Tebow actually was liked by fans and won a playoff game.

Bucs fans are so ignorant. Tampa Bay cant run the ball and now you have a Quarterback who didn’t complete a pass over 25 yards last year. Oh yeah his QBR was the same as Jameis so they definitely didn’t upgrade the position by signing Brady.
