What Was Bruce Arians’ Message To Fans?

December 29th, 2019

“Sorry, Jason. I couldn’t bite my tongue any longer.”

“There’s so much good and there’s so much outright terrible.” — Bruce Arians on Jameis Winston, Dec. 29, 2019.

Joe’s dialed in to the second half of that quote above, “so much outright terrible.” That doesn’t sound at all like the Bucco Bruce Arians of January through December 15 of this year.

So where is that quote coming from?

Obviously, Joe sees the stunning interception totals and how much they’ve hurt the Bucs, among other mistakes from the quarterback position. But Joe hadn’t heard Arians use that kind of language about Jameis’ play, despite being asked over and over and over again about his quarterback all season long.

In fact, Arians often has defended Jameis and shied away from strong negativity regarding Jameis. Early in the season, Arians detailed times when Jameis “sacked himself” too often, but overall the chatter from One Buc Palace was that Jameis was improved and improving with some mistakes here and there.

But today, with no more games to play, the head coach summed up his franchise QB as an entity that needs to be studied because there’s “so much outright terrible” to balance the good. On the Buccaneers Radio Network, Arians used the word “horrible.”

The headline here asks if Arians was misleading fans. Bottom line, Joe believes when a coach talks to the media he’s really talking to the fans. The media is just there to share because teams haven’t figured out yet that having fans ask questions in news conferences would be far more entertaining and interesting.

So Joe sees Arians as primarily telling fans that Jameis was on the rise while basically glossing over things that added up to be “so much outright horrible.”

This reminds Joe of when former Bucs quarterback coach Mike Bajakian blamed the Bucs’ 2017 red zone woes after the season on an inability to execute the basics from the QB position.

“I can show you seven plays off the top of my head where if we just played pitch-and-catch, we’re going to score a touchdown,” Bajakian said. “And instead, maybe we don’t convert on third down, or we take sack and now it’s 2nd-and-long, we end up kicking a field goal on both of those instead of scoring a touchdown. So, it doesn’t take a whole lot to improve.

“It’s just a matter of execution, and as we pointed out to our players, you know you study those teams that are the top in the NFL. What you realize is they’re not re-inventing the wheel. I’m thinking I’m going to watch the Philadelphia Eagles and I’m going to get all these great ideas about what they’re doing in the red zone. You know what? Their plays are the same players we’re running, except they’re playing pitch and catch, or maybe their quarterback is scrambling and making a play for a touchdown.”

It was another case of a coach coming down hard on Jameis after the season.

Joe’s not about to predict what anyone is really thinking at One Buc Palace. The NFL is full of misdirection plays, gamesmanship and political speech. But it’s clear that Arians wants everyone to know — at least tonight — that Jameis is a terrible player too often.

That’s a tough comment to walk back for everyone who cares about the Bucs.

  1. DalvinCookRules Says:

After that last pick-six, may I suggest a new nickname for Jameis Winston: Samuel Morse.

  2. Aceofaerospace Says:

I just can’t unsee that last pick 6.

  3. Simeon Says:

Jamies lost his contract in the last 2 weeks.

  4. SteveK Says:

With the 14th pick in the 2020 nfl draft the Tampa bay buccaneers select Tua

  5. bogiedr Says:

    MARIOTTA!! And draft someone.

  6. Buc believer Says:

I don’t believe ANYTHING Mr. “it’s totally fixed” says

  7. Troy Says:

Sounds like a thread of honesty to me. No player that has ever played for the Bucs upsets me more than Winston has. And I’ve been a fan since 76. Dilfer irritated me, but Jameis takes it to new levels because of the stupid plays.

  8. Buccaneric Says:

Did JW waste a good defensive effort in two important games late in the season? Yes. Does Licht and co believe he will do it again? Will a QB with less upside give the defense a better chance to win?

Those the only questions that matter.

  9. Couch Fan Says:

30 Ints and 7 pick 6’s says hes not misleading anybody.

  10. Zzbuc Says:

Anybody with common sense knows the highs and the lows of JW.
The only question mark is if there is anybody out there who can replace him.
I personally think that the QB market is pretty poor in the draft and the free agency.
I also personally think that I don’t want to commit to JW for a long term.
So put a tag on him and if he wants the big contract you will have to turn off the turnover machine dramatically for 2020 and maybe repeat maybe he can get a big contract for the future.

  11. Gerald McBezos Says:

The contract negotiations have begun. That’s what that is.

Playing with a broken thumb, throwing to WR3 and WR5, we lost today because of the kicker.

Yes, the last play of the last 2 games, bad. He’s 25. How many QBs have won rings before 25?

This team and this offense is headed in the right direction, when you bring back Jameis – connection already solid with 13 and 12, now you’ve got a somewhat unstoppable Perriman added to the mix.

  12. Ndog Says:

He rips the QB on a tipped pass interception, yet seems to be ok with almost a kicker missing 3 FGs, 100 yards in penalities from his team, receivers running the wrong routes, his running back fumbling on the first play of the game, his defense giving up a TD in the first drive of the game AND giving up the lead yet again in the 4th quarter.

I guess you have to blame somebody if you and your coaching staff totally sucked getting the team ready to play and there were failures from every unit of the team.

  13. CalBucsFan Says:

How many times have we heard what Matt Millen said in OT about Winston staring down the receiver he’s going to?

Jameis has never learned to look off defenders. He opens his eyes very wide as he’s looking down field. How about teaching him how to look off defenders Arians , maybe even giving him a shaded, polarized face mask so his headlights are so bright!

  14. Lamarcus Says:

When you have the biggest coaching staff and only improve by 2 wins now you better need a scapegoat and fast. Maybe BA wouldn’t felt better

  15. Miller5252 Says:

I think he’s just answering a question right after a game that had 3 missed field goals and a pick 6 to end a game that they should of won. He’s like everyone else…. tired of watching a team mess up a perfectly good win. Or maybe he had a belly ache from riding the roller coaster all year.

  16. CalBucsFan Says:

…Nah, forget it, draft a new QB!

  17. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

why cant the bucs have a 1st round qb that is any good ever? jameis is like vinny, maybe jameis will go on to be like vinny in chicago or san diego but its time to move on to a new signal caller in tampa

  18. Adrnagy Says:

That’s a coach pissed … that’s all. He wanted the 8-8 record. And jameis told him no ! I’m going for the 30int record.

  19. Tampabaybucfan Says:

It’s quite simple to me….during the season he publicly supported Winston….now that it’s over and it’s contract negotiation time…..”there’s lots of horrible” there…..
After all, we were just hearing that Jameis doesn’t want to be franchised….wants $30 mil long term contract…..someone horrible won’t be worth that.

BA sending a message to fans, Licht, Glazers…..that he likely can’t fix Jameis….because he’s already tried and couldn’t.

  20. JimmyJack Says:

Well Ndog has been using Bruce quotes all year and manifested them into Winston excuses so I will say yes. Bruce has mislead at least some fans.

  21. Adrnagy Says:

That’s coach playing the game. Saying…. no way your worth 30m !

  22. NPRSageBoy. Says:

Sounds like once the season ended in such a horrible fashion a wounded BA had no further need to protect JayMiss’ confidence/ego.

We all remember how JayMiss performed last season when he had Fitzpatrick looking over his shoulder.

This could be a “tough love” exercise on BA’s part, but this Buc fan hopes it’s finally the end of five lost seasons spent trying to protect a bad draft pick.

    Only time will tell.

    Peace, out

  23. stevbobucfan Says:

I know 30 interceptions are a lot in one season but I am thinking Arians is not as pissed about how many but where they come in a game Arians said this year that the interceptions that hurt is when the defense take the ball away and the QB give right back on the next 2 or 3 plays if that many and for me like the last 2 games throwing interception at the end of game to kill any chance of pulling off a win to me this is the difference between playoffs and losing teams

  24. Buczilla Says:

I think that Arians is just as frustrated as most Buc’s fans with not only the inconsistency of Winston, but the whole damn team at one point or another this season. 7-9 is better than 5-12 and 3 games better than I predicted for this year. There is hope for the future.

  25. ColBucFan Says:

Season is over…coach doesn’t have to stroke the QBs ego now.

  26. Ndog Says:

Jameis need to leave and let’s all find out a lot of answers to a lot of questions. By the way who thought Perriman was worth a crap five weeks ago? But now after playing with Jameis he’s going to get paid. Didn’t Adam Humphries get paid, how about Brate I guess he will be awesome anywhere he goes as well right? Didn’t Humphries tear it up this year? Oh I forgot they all make Jameis look good right?

  27. gotbbucs Says:

Here’s something that I think everyone can agree on. If you don’t have a good QB in today’s NFL you won’t make it very far. This team has the most consistently inconsistent QB in the entire NFL. These lapses in judgment, these bonehead plays…they didn’t just start. They’ve been here the whole time.
The season’s where he didn’t throw a ton of interceptions were the years where he missed a few games. That’s it. Even if he has a couple of good games where he doesn’t turn it over, they’re always lurking around. They’ll come out eventually.
Season’s before this one he would throw for 50 yards in the first half of games and then pad the stats with garbage time numbers to end the game. This year was the polar opposite in many games, he would put up good numbers in the first half, go into halftime with a lead or tied, and then absolutely turtle up and throw for 50 yards in the second half. He can’t play with a lead. He can’t make the simple little reads and completions that keep the chains moving. It’s the most frustrating thing in the world.
These other teams just sit back and wait and let him self destruct.

Not having Evans or Godwin does not affect on field decision making. He can’t see or read the defense. He’s throwing interceptions on his first read. They aren’t desperation throws, they are throws made before pressure is even close. That’s a massive red flag.

  28. Ndog Says:

Quick question do we even have a chance to win that game today if not for the two ridiculous plays Jameis made to end the first half? Next question how many guys can make those plays?

I just can’t wait to lose games next year 31-12, it’s gonna be great.

  29. ClodHopper Says:

He could be talking to the fans… Or he could be talking to Jameis’ agent

  30. Chris l Says:

ARe we shocked he said that? He was awful and has been awful. The fact he said this should not be surprising or am I watching another team?

  31. Troy Says:

@Ndog tipped pass defense. Love your nonsense. If that ball was tipped it didn’t change the fact that Winston stared down Brate and gave the LB the opportunity to jump the route. You have to be Winston’s agent. You can tell us. I mean trying to drum up an artificial market for your player in NE. We all know that is never going to happen. In fact, I bet if you asked the GM in NE about signing Winston, he’d bust out laughing and ask if he was being pranked.

  32. Barack's Crack Pipe Says:

Arians knew early on that he couldn’t change the hand that he was dealt this season. He was just a class act all year, keeping the peace. Now, decision-making time, is time for brutal honesty. It’s that simple.

  33. Ndog Says:

    Just wait Troy just wait

  34. Tye Says:

Carr, Mariota, Dalton, someone Arians could possibly turn into a quality qb but draft a qb to be the future…
Jacob Eason has grown on me.. I would support that decision

Get a qb that will attack the fans not divide them and the stadium will have a totally different atmosphere!

  35. Miketb19 Says:

Tomorrow is going to be an interesting end of the year press conference especially for Licht and Arians I have a strong feeling we get a good feeling as to where they stand when it comes to Winston now that they have the whole season to look at and that’s what Arians said he would give Winston that will be interesting to watch

  36. Blue-footed booby Says:

Hey guys remember when Josh Freeman left the Buccaneers after spending his first 5 years here and then went on to have a terrific career as a franchise quarterback with another team … oh wait nevermind.

I would say Winston could stay here in Tampa Bay being the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Vipers but Marc Trestman reportedly told the Buccaneers back in January 2015 when we were looking for a new offensive coordinator he wanted Mariota over Winston so uh guess that’s not happening lol. Trestman probably thinks higher of Aaron Murray than Winstunned.

  37. Defense Rules Says:

@Ndog … “I just can’t wait to lose games next year 31-12, it’s gonna be great.” Not a single one of us Ndog has any idea what next year’s team will look like at this point. Why would you, a Bucs’ fan, apparently ASSUME that Bucs will have another losing season? That is the underlying ASSUMPTION in your comment, isn’t it?

  38. Ndog Says:

Yeah Tye us paying customers love seeing 100 yards in penalities, 3 missed FGs, an opening drive cake walk for a TD by the visitors, a fumble by our RB on the first offensive play of the game. And we hate HATE seeing ridiculously great passes like the last two of the first half and knowing we can always come back BECAUSE of our QB.

  39. Gator bait Says:

I seen the pick 6 coming as many fans did. Watch the players interviews and know they knew it too.

  40. Ndog Says:

Yeah Trex I’m a season ticket holder since 1996 and went to games via other avenues before that. I’ve put more money, passion, and sweat equity into this team than most of this board combined. I hate the Patriots but they are smart unlike most of these posters on this site. You see that’s why I want Jameis to stay o actually care more about winning than hating a rollercoaster, which is just the stupid persons way if saying I don’t understand football.

  41. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ndog….you seriously need to be Baker Acted and so does Jay Miss. Perhaps the two of you can be Baker Acted together.

  42. Dapostman Says:

    My 2019 grades.

QB: C+. too many turnovers holding him down. Yards and TD’s galor.
RB: C-. Today Jones looked like a player. Other than that these guys have been average.
WR: A. Elite group of Evans, Godwin and Perriman.
TE: D. Howard and Brate are not difference makers. Only Gronk and Kelce are. Do not put $$$ into this position. TE’s don’t win championships.
OL: C. Good pass blocking but Beta run blockers. Today was better though.

DL: B+. If JPP played all year this would be an A.
LB: B. David and White playing well.
DB: C. Young corners improving but safetys can’t cover. TE’s have eaten these guys up.

    PK: C. 77% on 8 missed FG, 5 missed PAT’s 90%. Responsible for 2 games lost.
    P: Meh.
KR: D. Logan gets a B but the other guys meh.

Arians: B. Team plays hard every game. Looked out of sync early on timeouts and PI challenges.
Leftwich: B. Not imaginative enough. Though the pick play with Watson and Brate has me hopeful. Every time he takes 2 steps forward then 1 step back.
Bowles: B. Blitzed early season way too much but did a better job late in season. Once again guys played hard for him. Encouraged.

  43. Craig Says:

I think that brucie has seen what some of us had already noticed. Jameis does not progress, You can talk at him all day and show him film all night and he doesn’t do anything better.

It is almost inhuman. He just can’t see that he hurts his team by thinking he is exceptional. He can’t see that it is his fault that the team hasn’t taken him to the Stupor Bowl.

Maybe he will get a point or two with some other team, but it won’t happen here. 30 interceptions doesn’t even seem to be enough for him to notice. With only three more touchdowns than interceptions, it id amazing that we didn’t end up 3-13. If he is re-signed it will continue this way.

That is why the day was such a waste. We needed to see something that could lead us toward next season, something like Ryan Griffin handing off to RoJo in the second half, but we ended up in a hole. At least Cincinnati will get Burrow

  44. Buchead588 Says:

He is telling Jameis an his Agents that his price is to high to many Ints to go with his Great Jameis said it right today if he Cuts his Ints down he is easily one of the Best in the League

  45. Ndog Says:

Yes defense that is assumption because it has happened yet, can’t get one by on you…

But that assumption is based on a long history of watching this team and football in general. Guys don’t just throw for 5,000 yards everyday. Now I will say the next QB will have a much better chance of success cause he won’t have to deal with this sieve of a defense ( if they keep them together) Jameis has had to deal with his entire career. But the offense will not be as good period, unless the running game comes alive for real.

  46. Gator bait Says:

Closest to a playoff game as Jaymiss will see in Tampa bay

  47. WhatdaBUCisthis Says:

damn @Ndog it won’t matter 31-12 or 31-30. A loss is a loss. Bro you can’t KEEP giving the ball away and expect to win. Literally will be insane to bring him back. I don’t have any QBs who could replace him but he’s not the answer

  48. Gator bait Says:

    And I’m a Florida State fan😔

  49. Miketb19 Says:

Just watched BAs whole after game conference and he sounded very down on Jameis not once did he say he wanted him back just going to evaluate and that was the right answer for now but I think he was very deflated on Winston as compared to when he first came here

  50. Wesley Says:

    Finally some rational thinking.

  51. EEK Says:

Winston made it easier to see him walk with his record breaking performance today.
I hope management doesn’t forget how horrible it feels now.

  52. Bucsfan951 Says:

MISSING… MY NPUPPY AKA FEMALE PUPPY DOG. SHES MISSING! LAST SEEN FOLLOWING WINSTON BENZ BACK TO HIS HOUSE. IF SEEN, PLZ REPORT.

Come on Npup, you know the kicker is hurt. It’s already been reported. You know I gotta use that Npuppy defense!!!

If the glove does not fit, you must acquit!!!

  53. Couch Fan Says:

Your name is Gator bait but you say you’re a FSU fan?….. interesting…

  54. BrianBucs Says:

When your QB is setting records for interceptions, pick 6’s, and repeatedly costing your team games, yardage totals don’t mean sh&t.
Another good defensive effort wasted by Winston.
Past time for a QB change. Can’t waste the talent on this roster with a losing QB.

  55. Mike Johnson Says:

Bucs are in a pickle. There might not be a top QB left by the time we draft guys. Not in the 1st at least. Todays OT pick though might have sealed Jameis fate. How much can you stand? My heart just sunk when he did that. Yours did too. I’m sorry..If you decide to keep him. Franchise his butt for one yr and lets draft a rook and trade for a good backup. I’m tired of placing my faith in the..cardiac kid. and so are you. You see what Tenn did with Mariotta. We gotta trade for a good backup somewhere. cause we ain’t going to the playoffs with Billy The kidd. He will not win the shootout when it counts.

  56. Tye Says:

Arians either is a quality HC that now know Winston is a detriment to his team OR one of the absolute worst evaluators of talent.. Hoping for the former!

  57. ElioT Says:

    Rodgers: 4 INTs
    Brees: 4 INTs
    Mahomes: 5 INTs
Wilson: *5 INTs (*game in progress)
    Cousins: 6 INTs
    Wentz: 7 INTs
    Brady: 8 INTs
    Watson: 12 INTs
Garoppolo: *13 INTs (*game in progress)

    All Playoff QBs.

The ball is precious and you must protect it.

This is a basic FACT of NFL football and you cannot dispute it, ever.

BTW: I’m 100% certain that each of the above QBs could claim a few picks weren’t their fault due to bad routes or tipped passes.

Winston is very talented in many areas. Unfortunately his historic number of errors trump any other stats you can possibly dig up.

  58. lambchop Says:

    @Ndog the Homer,

Ndog thinks Jameis is the only QB in the league having success. You know what? Another QB could win games in so many other ways without having to throw 2 great passes a game, like you know, throwing to his own team and sustaining drives? I mean do we really need a cardiac arrest to enjoy football?

I think almost all the playoff teams can show you what kind of QB succeeds in the NFL, and none of them play like Intston.

  59. ElioT Says:

    Rodgers: 4 INTs
    Brees: 4 INTs
    Mahomes: 5 INTs
Wilson: *5 INTs (*game in progress)

  60. Robert James Says:

Philip rivers had a year with almost as many yards and less ints and everyone knows he is done and wants him gone but we want a year 6????

  61. georgiabuc Says:

I think it’s as simple as making him wear his contacts while he plays.

  62. ElioT Says:

Sweet… another respectful post full of research and facts “MODERATED” and when trying to repost I get that wonderful “you already said that”.

    Thanks JBF!

I’ve just been here for about ten years now. Thanks!

  63. ATLBuc Says:

    Through 5 years:

    Peyton 113 TDs, 100 INTs, 20,685 yards

    Jameis 119 TDs, 88 INT’s, 19,728 befire today’s game.

Relax people. We have a HOF QB. Let’s not let him get away like we did with Doug Williams and Steve Young

  64. Robert James Says:

i’m sure an unpopular take but fizmagic takes us to the playoffs

  65. ElioT Says:

Jameis has thrown as many interceptions as half the QBs in the playoffs combined.

The most important thing in pro football is protecting the ball.

    Anything else is just stats.

  66. Bucfan81 Says:

I want Jameis gone but I think Arians comments are to just drive the price down on his contract. It would be Buc thing to do don’t re sign Shaq and re sign Winston. It’s a bucs life they will do something stupid.

  67. MadMax Says:

@ATL, WRONG!!!! JW has had over 100 ints, 105 or 106 after today….where the heck did you get that 88 figure?

  68. Robert James Says:

@bucfan81… agree. i would want him gone but BA has 2 more years… hes going to ride w JW because he doesnt have enough time for anything else.

  69. Mauler Says:

All 9 losses this year have been by a combined 69 points. Winston’s interceptions returned for touchdowns this year is 7, meaning that 49 of those 69 points have come directly from Winston’s interceptions returned for TDs. Now think about the other 23 interceptions and how many points the opposing team scored because of them. Sure, other areas of the team need work, but no one is more responsible for losses than Jameis Winston.

  70. Bucsfan951 Says:

No max he’s right. It’s 88 ints with 23 fumbles lost. So 111 turnovers in 5 years. Not too bad for playing in 72 games lol

  71. Troy Says:

    @Bucsfan951 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. It’s only like 1.5 turnovers a game.

  72. D1 Says:

    ATLBuc,

If the comparison is a sly joke , well done. Hilarious! !!

But if you believe it’s a legit comparison, then it’s you I’m laughing at….
    GTFOH……way more funny than if it’s a joke. .

  73. BuccaneEric75 Says:

    MadMax, 88 INTs is correct

  74. Gator bait Says:

I have been a Florida State fan since Deion Sanders came to my elementary school. His sister was in the 4th grade across the hall. He came to my middle school 2 years later.. I have was a Charlie ward fan too. But Win some.. I can’t do.

  75. Gator bait Says:

I have been a Florida State fan since Deion Sanders came to my elementary school. His sister was in the 4th grade across the hall. He came to my middle school 2 years later.. I have was a Charlie ward fan too. But Win some.. I can’t do…

  76. BuccaneEric75 Says:

BAs’ comments about Winston are meant to drive down his price???? What???? LOL! I’m sure Winston’s agent is losing sleep over it, as if he cares what BA tells the fans! I was gonna ask for 30 mil a year, but BA is telling the fans he’s terrible, so I guess I’ll have to ask for less! Wow, too funny.

  77. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I would love to see transcripts of that interview. You know…in context.

  78. D1 Says:

    Bucsfan81,

Arians isn’t the GM nor is he the owner. What he said in the press conference, has zero value in a contract negotiations process.,.For many reasons , including hes not writing the ck.

Where do ideas like that even come from?

  79. Pewter power Says:

Still doesn’t change the position the bucs are in. There is no one on the market that will be better unfortunately and they dont draft high enough to get on of the top QBs. Either he means it or letting him know he’s not worth 30+ a year.

  80. PragueBucsFan Says:

I think I am in the Franchise JW and draft QB high club.

  81. D1 Says:

    Buccaneric,

88 or 105 is missing the forest for the trees.

    Forest b!

  82. D1 Says:

    ^^^spot on re Arians pc.

  83. D-Rome Says:

But it’s clear that Arians wants everyone to know — at least tonight — that Jameis is a terrible player too often.

That’s the truth. The problem isn’t the run game or the defense. Kansas City was as bad (maybe even worse) at running the ball. The defense is better than Kansas City, yet the Chiefs are 12-4. The difference is QB play and only a sycophant would see it any other way.

  84. GoldBoy Says:

If they bring back the turnover machine after this year’s putrid performance, they’re telling the fans that they don’t care about us anymore. And that winning is no longer the goal. Licht also can no longer be trusted. We were told last year that there was no other answer than to pick up the 5th year option for dumbass. How did that turn out? Cut the idiot loose or the stadium will be a ghost town.

  85. Troy Says:

Here are the interception numbers for the playoff QBs this year –
    Brady – 7
    Wentz – 7
    Rodgers – 3
    Watson – 12
    Wilson – 5
    Mahomes – 4
    Garoppolo – 13
    Allen – 15
    Cousins – 6
    Jackson – 6
    Brees – 4
    Tannehill – 6

Now you tell me how you’re going to eliminate 1/2 of Winston’s turnovers if you bring him back. That’s essentially what you have to do to compete with the playoff QBs in the league at the very upper border like Allen. The rest of the QBs are in single digits which means you need to eliminate 2/3 of Winston’s turnovers. Get realistic. It’s not going to happen. If you were Arians would you risk you job and reputation on a promise to the owners that you can get Winston to be a playoff caliber QB? I know I wouldn’t because it’s unrealistic.

    Sign Rivers… Draft a prospect

  87. Ndog Says:

Yep a new QB is going to be a kicker that makes kicks too?

  88. Gator bait Says:

I want what Ndog is smoking..

  89. ElioT Says:

Would god stand up on a table and shout “**** her in the *****!”?

    Asking for a friend.

  90. ElioT Says:

I don’t think anyone ever accused god of sexual assault or groping an Uber driver, has he, she, it?

  91. Bucsfan951 Says:

COME ON WINSTON’S FEMALE DOG AKA NPUPPY!!! The kicker is hurt. It’s been known! Also, 1 kick was off due to the hold, the other kick due to the wind, and the other kick was bc he’s hurt! It’s not even his fault. IM USING THAT NPUPPY DEFENSE. #kickerlivesmatter

  92. Tampabuscsbro Says:

    ^^^^^^

  93. Ndog Says:

Oh that’s right a new QB is going to ensure our WRs run the correct routes.

  94. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Honestly this is great. The winston defenders are still coming out the dude could throw 7 picks and cough up 3 fumbles and still have defenders.

  95. Ndog Says:

Oh yeah a new QB will ensure we don’t commit 100 yards in penalities.

  96. Tampabuscsbro Says:

there goes Ndog at it again. I guess 30 interceptions are fine. that’s great.

  97. Ndog Says:

Because when he had one ball the entire game, that by the way was tipped, the entire loss is in him yet EVERYONE around him sucked out loud. Yeah it’s freaking ridiculous.

  98. #1bucfan Says:

Ndog. Enough is enough bro. 30 INTs an that’s not including his fumbles. Our defense isn’t good enough to over come those kind of turnovers. Our defense has improved greatly over the season. Still not there yet. Yea everyone an you including can rave about his 5,000 yards an points an tds but none of that means anything if we are not in the playoffs. Our kicker can’t miss that many kicks that is unacceptable but come on bro you can’t tell me you want to go thru this roller coaster again cuz I don’t

  99. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Ndog you do know the defense took the field for over 36 minutes where the offense was around 24 minutes. it’s just we are on year 5 winston lost the game. other people could be held responsible. but that doesn’t excuse him.

He still plays like a rookie in too many aspects. He had the ball in OT he had a shot. even if it was a tipped ball he still stared down his target the same problem he has had his entire career. he stared him down it got picked returned for six points losing us the game.

  100. Ndog Says:

This team is a disaster that is why he has so many TOs. We make mistakes all over the field yet you some how think when it comes to TOs it’s all the QBs fault? Rojo fumbles on the first play of the game. We have 3 missed FGs one due to a crappy hold. We fumbled a kick off. We drop passes all over the place. We have WRs that almost never work their back to the ball. We jump offsides at least 3 times EVERY game. Yet when it comes to picks or fumbles by the QB you think magically they are all on him. I mean look around bro we are screwing up stuff left and right yet he is ALWAYS to blame, come on open your eyes man.

  101. Ndog Says:

Yes I know they are on the field all day cause they can’t get off the field, this means they aren’t that good. The Falcons walker right down the field on the first drive and boom. Then the next play after yet another Horrible return we fumble it away. It’s freaking 10-0 before Jameis even makes a pass attempt yet all this site is talking about is the QB how is that possible?

  102. Ndog Says:

If they team around him OR ANY QB plays like they did today it doesn’t matter. That’s what I’m trying to tell you people. Last week was the only time the team played well and we lost because of Jameis. You can believe what you want but this has been going on a long time before this QB and it appears will be going in a long time after this QB. You are saying the defense played well today know they did not, it just appears like they did because we are now used to giving up 35 every week.

  103. Tampabuscsbro Says:

    whew

Ndog I was trying to talk to you but this level of delusion is unprecedented. you’re literally blaming everyone but jameis winston. so not every pick is on the QB by the end of the year. but for some reason jameis winston has set records. and you’re saying they are usually someone elses fault never his. dude come on man.

  104. Bucsfan951 Says:

NPUPPY!!! you know damn well Winston stared down his receiver and the falcons player jumped that route. Tipped or not, it was getting picked. If you look closely, dotsons foot slips in the turf and he doesn’t get proper leverage on the blocker who tipped the ball. Not his fault 🤷🏻‍♂️ IM USING THE NPUPPY DEFENSE/THEORY.

  105. Ndog Says:

Notice no one ever can refute what I say they just oh the TOs the TOs the TOs like they are freaking brainwashed. Look TOs suck but when you watch the games they are not even close to being all his fault but you always here 30 interceptions, 9 fumbles but never hear but that ball was tipped by OJ or that ball OJ put behind his back or D. Smith got blown by and his arm was hit or Peyton Barber, Watson, Godwin, Perriman ran a crappy route, or M. Evans basically just stopped playing it it was tipped at the line of scrimmage. See people call these excuses where I call them what they are and that is mistakes by other players that should also be held accountable. Why do we want to blame one player?

  106. Bucsfan951 Says:

NPUPPY!!! How many td’s did Winston throw today?

  107. Bucsfan951 Says:

PUPPY AKA WINSTONS FEMALE DOG!!! Doesn’t all qbs have tipped balls and such? Why is Winston’s tipped balls and fumbles different?

  108. Ndog Says:

Again no refuting any FACTS I provided just more mindless crap. Where did I say no TOs were his fault in FACT I just stated he lost the game for us last week. See I can be honest about what happens but the rest of you are so full of HATE that you see what you want to see. I just want to win and just when we seem to start having a decent defense again you want to start over at QB letting go of a guy in the first year of an offense that threw for 5,000 yards and 30 plus TDs?

  109. Bucsfan951 Says:

You didn’t answer my questions NPUPPY!!! Isn’t what I said facts? Or is Winston different? You can refute what I said bc it’s true! NPUPPY FOLLOWED WINSTON HOME SO HE CAN GET A BONE!

  110. Bucsfan951 Says:

NPUPPY!!! Are you getting a bone from Winston right now? Why can’t you answer my questions? Am I speaking facts you don’t want to refute? Did he not stare down his receiver on that pick 6? No, not the other 6 before this one… I’m talking about his 7th one he threw today. NPUPPY, come back to me!

  111. Troy Says:

I’m just curious how the Bucs are the only team in the league that make so many mistakes by the WRs and the O-line that they caused 30 picks by their QB? That’s the logic that @Ndog wants everyone to believe. Somehow 31 other teams who don’t have 2 pro-bowl wideouts have managed to not have their QBs throw 30 picks. It’s a freakin joke. It’s embarrassing that there are fans who actually buy this nonsense. Want to keep losing, keep making excuses that winners don’t make. Want to be a winner, cut the losers that can’t play and keep making the same mistakes.

  112. Bucsfan951 Says:

121 points were scored by opposing teams due to Winston turnovers. 121!!! NPUPPY, WHERE ARE YOU AT TO EXPLAIN THIS!!!!!

  113. Mr. Reality Says:

When a guy needs to produce to save his coaches hide, much less his own, and doesn’t, that one strikes home. Arians was Winston’s most avid, therapeutic supporter all year. He did give Winston enough rope to hang himself, and he did just that. When you have a chance to repay your new HQ with a 9-7 season and show the you and he were right and thw world was wrong, and you hand your HC 7-9…you hand the owners who stayed with you and steaming pile season…you need to go.

We know what happens next. The “other” Joe will wake up and come in about 9am taunting readers about who would want to pass on a 5K yards QB. Only that argument is laughable at this point. Garbage yards. This year, Winston took his already losing record and made it worse.

Winston is smack between starter and backup QB. He could help his team win half the time. He’s never going to be the face of anyone’s franchise. He should be paid prime back-up QB money–like $8 million. Someone MAY give him $24M for three years. His value dropped again yesterday. Ironically, being under Bruce Arians has hurt Winston, because if he can’t fix him, who can?

  114. RSJCheapSeats Says:

The guy sets the NFL record for pick 6’s, and people are still defending him.

He is not a winning QB because he turns the ball over too much.

End of story. Anyone with a passing knowledge of football knows the single most important statistic is turnovers.

Yet we get excuse after excuse from people like NDOG.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has a much better year. This is not something debatable: the stats clearly show this. His QBR is much higher and he just beat the Pats in Foxboro.

But the loser mentality of Bucs fans (like JoetheWinstonApologist)will make them excuse the inexcusable.

  115. Mauler Says:

Joes, I think Ndog should be your next intern. Perhaps he gets his own weekly segment to breakdown and analyze game film to determine who is actually responsible for 30 interceptions….
Interception #1 – Winston’s shoelace was coming untied
Interception #2 – Winston’s hand was still wet from pregame W-eating speech
    Interception #3 – Racism
Interception #4 – Cameron Brate ran 7.5 yards before turning instead of 7.75 yards.

  116. Terry OHara Says:

Stats don’t lie: Winston’s turnovers led to over 100 direct points by the opposing teams. That is NOT winnable football….

  117. Terry OHara Says:

“If I can eliminate my turnovers, Ima top QB in league.”
And McDonald Chump is the top prez of all time….

  118. haney Says:

I have been with the Bucs since 76 ,all the years ,every game , they feed us wait until next year ,year after year ,Winston is not all the problems , but the main one now , 5 years is long enough , cut him loose & I bet he will win a super bowl for someone else . We have to put up with year after year same old same old , cry baby stories , we have needed a full back since since A train to have some type of running game , & a Brookes in the middle , to win along with a dependable QB . I hate losers , but that is what we put up with , also bad drafts every year , yes I lettered in 4 sports for 4 years , I am not a band member like a lot local sports casters , grow a set & call out the over paid non producers ! tell it like real fans want to hear! Buy them a bus ticket on the Puppy!. Not enough hustle & earning those big paychecks . No other cities have to put up with being looooooooooosers every year. We hold on to has beens & waste good money that could be used for needed players Mc coy & dozens of others year after year !The Bucs , management , players, all local media try to brain wash us every year ! Call them out for what they are

  119. TOM Says:

I don’t think River’s is the answer & he won’t be cheap. Hell I think Fitz would have gotten us to the playoffs. And I still wouldn’t write off RG.
