Three Bucs Ruled Out For Sunday; Jameis Ready
December 13th, 2019UPDATED: 1:56 p.m.
Jameis Winston is “ready to go,” Bucco Bruce Arians said today. He was throwing real footballs with his busted thumb today at Bucs practice, versus the tennis balls he was hurling yesterday.
Donovan Smith, however, remained on the practice sidelines with his ankle and knee issues. He’ll be a game day decision, per Arians.
Definitely out are defensive tackle DT Beau Allen, Mike Evans and rookie DE/LB Anthony Nelson.
No Allen should up the reps for Vita Vea, who typically is a part-timer.

he should stick with tennis balls.
December 13th, 2019 at 12:25 pm
D Smith will at least start the game Sunday to keep his streak alive…..you heard it here first….
December 13th, 2019 at 12:44 pm

GO BUCS!!!!
December 13th, 2019 at 12:48 pm
Joe burrow will be 24yrs old in his rookie nfl season. Jameis next month will be 26.
I would see how he throws the 1st quarter and hopefully we jump ahead quick that we can run the ball and the defense can light it out and sit the franchise.
December 13th, 2019 at 1:02 pm
I have heard so much BS about the league being all about player safety. If that is true, Jameis should sit.
Sounds like a good excuse for seeing what Ryan Griffin can do a a couple of meaningless games. Maybe a bank truck will end up at his door.

Janoris Jenkins was cut. PICK HIM UP EXPEDITIOUSLY
December 13th, 2019 at 2:19 pm
Would Jenkins be worth it. Idk how he has done this season ?
December 13th, 2019 at 2:25 pm
He had 4 picks and 14 pass defended. We need him
December 13th, 2019 at 2:36 pm
Jenkins is garbage. Just because you’ve heard of him doesn’t make him good. He isn’t.
December 13th, 2019 at 2:41 pm
It has nothing to do with knowing his name I just put up some of his stats for this year. You’re nuts if you don’t think he can help that secondary.
December 13th, 2019 at 2:43 pm
@Mort
Plenty of evidence piled up against your expert assessment that he is “garbage”. His tard-loving self was on a hot garbage squad.

jenkins is good….
but let the young DBs develop….
GO BUCS!!!!
December 13th, 2019 at 2:46 pm
Our current secondary has 5 picks combined
December 13th, 2019 at 2:48 pm
Our young secondary needs a vet!
December 13th, 2019 at 2:51 pm
“Jenkins is good but…” Like wtf if he’s good then get him
December 13th, 2019 at 2:56 pm
well, at least if jw plays maybe we won’t have to worry about next year 🙂
December 13th, 2019 at 2:58 pm
Go Jameis.
Have a chance to lead the league in TDS and Yards.
I don’t think any buc QB has ever done either.
December 13th, 2019 at 3:24 pm
we need a vet at FS to get whitehead and the CBs in the right position…..
CBs are fine….they’ll get better with experience….
they wont get better sitting on the bench behind JJ…..
antonio brown is very good….should we good get him too since ME13 is out?….
no…let watson develop….
GO BUCS!!!!!!
December 13th, 2019 at 3:27 pm
Bro what are you talking about??? Antonio brown is a whole different story. Stop trying to make connections that aint there. I can count on two fingers how many corners the bucs developed.
December 13th, 2019 at 3:30 pm
And im talking about for the future. ME13 is obviously coming back next year and were not going anywhere this year
December 13th, 2019 at 3:31 pm
74 Thanks for pointing that out. That is good news.
Scotty Miller isn’t listed either. Good opportunity for him this week.
December 13th, 2019 at 3:39 pm
Guys yes we need a veteran corner. I think we can all agree on that.
But just cause one good one gets cut doesn’t mean you should kneejerk sign him. That’s stupid rationale.
Don’t you think this team maybe has a plan for that position? Maybe Jenkins is a guy they are targeting. If so OK. Bring him in. But maybe there are 2-3 names they want even more that are set to become free agents when the dinner bell rings. If that’s the case signing Jenkins makes no sense.
You gotta let the process play out rather then overreact with any and every name that becomes available…….Otherwise you get people jumping off the skyway cause we didn’t trade for Caluas Campbell only to find out we are trading for JPP as you plummet to the Bay.
December 13th, 2019 at 3:44 pm
Hopefully we can get up early in this game then Jameis can give way to RG4 in the second half and rest his thumb for the Texans. Or maybe I just have visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.
December 13th, 2019 at 3:47 pm
Bucs fans are insane and accustomed to losing. Knee jerk reaction…please. I hope we have alot of knee jerk reactions this offseason
December 13th, 2019 at 3:49 pm
When it comes to O line and secondary
December 13th, 2019 at 3:50 pm
I’m confused……..so, if it’s a meaningless game……why suggest playing RG4 & picking up Jenkins?
I realized they are separate posts……so why not let your rookies play out the season and if Jameis is healthy, let him play. After all, he’s being “evaluated”
As far as safety, I think you have to rule out Justin Evans before you decide.
In the draft, I’m looking for a starting RT…..and a starting DE or DT……and a RB….the rest for depth.
December 13th, 2019 at 3:51 pm
And, why on earth was that post moderated?
December 13th, 2019 at 4:07 pm
Jenkins is on the wrong side of 30 for NFL standards. In addition, we are not in a playoff push so it does not make sense to spend money on a rental.
December 13th, 2019 at 4:08 pm
This game is not meaningless to the Texas Buccaneers Fan Associations. I want a 4 game winning streak, then a a 5 game, and then a 6 game winning streak. I would like to see us finish 9-7.
Signed Texas Buccaneers Fan Association’s only member
December 13th, 2019 at 4:12 pm
Im talking about picking up Jenkins for next year
December 13th, 2019 at 4:12 pm
With no LT in this game, I predict Winston is shelved at the half especially if the points gap reaches 17+
December 13th, 2019 at 4:13 pm
Of course the rookies should play out the rest of the year
December 13th, 2019 at 4:22 pm
Watson, Howard, perriman should take advantage. Miller not sure.
December 13th, 2019 at 5:07 pm
Even if Winston throws a couple of picks it won’t matter the lions stink.
December 13th, 2019 at 5:09 pm
TampaBay AllDay … I agree with you about Jenkins, but of course he wouldn’t help us this year. He’s injured. His contract with the Giants calls for him to make an average of $12.5 mil per year (2016 through 2020). No way the Bucs could foot a bill like that for even a veteran CB, but he might play for say $8 mil a year for 3 years which is doable for us. Never know unless you ask.
Reports say that Giants let him go because he got into a Twitter exchange with a ‘Giants fan’ and it didn’t end pleasantly. He wasn’t apologetic apparently, but he also wasn’t upset about getting released (‘Best news ever’ he Tweeted).
Still, he’s got maybe 3 productive years left (he’s 31) and with 4 INTs & 14 PDs in 13 games this year that seems to be some very good productivity for a CB.
December 13th, 2019 at 7:10 pm
Don’t need no washed up has been DB who is still smoking from being burnt by Mike Evans earlier this year.
December 13th, 2019 at 7:46 pm
Janoris Jenkins is not worth picking up.
December 13th, 2019 at 8:20 pm
Someone will have to hit Jameis over the head with a 2X4 to keep him on the bench Sunday.
December 13th, 2019 at 11:54 pm
Jenkins Should he picked up and converted to a receiver. Could reduce in some positive plays that he throws to DBs. There looks to be some serious upside in picking up Jenkins.
December 14th, 2019 at 12:06 pm
They are not going to pick up Jenkins were not playing for playoffs an all he does is take reps from Dean an SMB
