Breakout!

December 1st, 2019

Career day.

Here is something Joe is confident no Bucs fan expected to read today:

Breshad Perriman led the Bucs in receiving.

Yes he did. Perriman had his best game in the NFL as he hauled in 87 yards on five catches. He was targeted six times.

Joe isn’t sure what was more surprising: the fact Perriman had 87 yards or that he caught all but one of his targets.

It wasn’t all defense today for the Bucs. A guy who has struggled terribly had the best game of his career. Perriman finally broke loose, taking advantage of the sad Jags defense to have his best half and best game.

Perriman was one of six receivers who caught at least one pass from Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.

“Everybody likes to eat,” Jameis said.

Perriman finally finding his football cajones and his hands are finally learning to come together to catch passes. He’s made some really good catches the last two games. Maybe he got over that beginner’s wall.

Man, Raiders playing like the Jags did 1st half. So funny Gruden looked dumbfounded on a screen shot!

Much maligned Perriman & OJ played very well today….Way to go!!!

He finally earned his paycheck. Hopefully he will continue earning his money rather than stealing it from the three stooges.

    Good for him……
When you have Evans and Godwin at the same time on the field , Perriman should make plays same as OJ…….

    Came to play today!!!!

Hes gotta prove to me that he’s more than just a one hit wonder against one of the worst secondary in the Nfl. The same can be said by OJ Howard. Howard n Perriman has the physical attributes but both play soft, timid, n scared. I just don’t see the desired toughness n determination u would expect from these two players. It seems they both anticipate contact when thrown is thrown to them. OJ came outta college as a straight hill runner outta a program that gave him good stats. Perriman has speed n his dad’s name, nothing more. We need to replace these two with more players that play violent in the same manner as CGodwin.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Took him this long to make an impact

If Perriman had been cut prior to week 9 – the Bucs would have received a 4th or at worst 5th rd compensatory pick in the 2020 draft.

Glad to see the dude have a good day and all – which probably extends his NFL career another year – and he did help the Bucs win today. But honestly – unless BA is intent on keeping this guy around next year (which seems unlikely unless he signs for relatively cheap)- then what’s the point??

With Miller out – and no chance for playoffs – wouldn’t it make a lot more sense to get Justin Watson as many snaps as possible the rest of this year to see what he can develop into with some playing time?
