Another Reason To Abolish Preseason

So, about those hands…
Preseason is a total con. And too many fans lap up the propaganda.
Joe saw a groundswell of Bucs fans just downright giddy that this practice squad guy Tanner Hudson was promoted to the parent club and activated because of all the injuries to Bucs tight ends.
Why did people on social media and in the comments on this here site rejoice? Because Hudson caught passes in preseason. In the second half of preseason games. Against janitors, driver’s ed teachers and Applebee’s managers.
So what happened when Hudson got on the field the last two games with these hands that would make people forget Cris Carter? He dropped two touchdown passes where America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, hit him square in the hands.
Preseason is simply at best a tease and, in actuality, a fraud.
Preseason games should be abolished. There is neither a need nor a reason to have these damn things.

Where is my earlier comment?? We need the preseason to weed out the new players. The vets can rest, but at the same time, they like it cos they can warm up for the regular season.

Off subject but even though Devin White made a couple of rookie mistakes……he was in deep coverage on a pass and had a BS PI called….but, watch that play again when he ran down the Seattle runner from behind and stripped the ball…..he was at the line of scrimmage out of the play but recovered and ran down the runner……White has tremendous speed…
He will be a great player for us.

That Devin White strip was actually too violent……it shot the ball out of bounds….
And about Tanner Hudson & pre-season…..so we are blaming him for being so good in pre-season that he made the team…..and as our 4th TE was forced to start due to injury…..and he dropped a couple of passes…
OJ has also dropped a couple…..he’s a 1st round pick…Hudson is an UDFA…
Give Hudson some time…..perhaps next pre-season…..

But all the geniuses steps d here kept saying g we could trade Howard and Brate because Hudson could do just as good of a job.

We are stuck with Preseason until the next sit down between the owners and the NFLPA. The last encounter made preseason in ti=o training camp/
The real problem is that he can catch Ryan Griffin passes, bit not jameis passes. I would almost beg to see what Ryan Griffin could do in a real game.
The Bucs were up 21-7 and lost, something needs to change. A QB that can play a whole game might be that thing.

We gave up 40 points and some are concerned with out QB who put up 34? Should not win a game if we give up 40 points.

Jeff Carlson preaches that the way a QB throws the ball greatly affects how catchable it is for the receivers. Were these preseason passes from Blaine Gabbert or Ryan Griffin?

Actually there is a need, and it is to assess talent for bubble players on the roster… But since Licht has proven incapable of doing this I agree here in TB preseason is pointless.
