Mauling Alex Cappa (Video)
October 1st, 2019Here’s a fat slice of fun from Sunday’s Bucs-Rams game.
The video below is of Rams starting defensive tackle Michael Brockers getting left-armed to the turf by Alex Cappa, the Bucs’ rising right guard. That’s the “nasty” guy Mike Mayock screamed about on the NFL Network airwaves on draft night last year and the one Jason Licht envisioned when he drafted him.
But perhaps even more fun than that is watching legendary Rams DT Aaron Donald getting stoned by Donovan Smith, literally stopped in his tracks, and Ryan Jensen drilling his guy while Demar Dotson plays very aggressively against Samson Ebukam. Dotson is much better when he’s attacking and not reacting.
Bring on Cameron Jordan!

Donovan stepped up too. Man what a collective effort. Theyre getting paid well so its time to keep playing like it! Good job biggens

The second video shows every member of the Rams D attacking the pocket getting manhandled by the Bucs Oline. Not too shabby.

GOT DAMMIT THATS WHAT I LIKE TO SEE.
Don’t look now but DSmith held his own vs AD.
Dotson is still garbage and should be replaced immediately

This coaching staff will teach these young guys how to play ball in the next two years. Hopefully we will see a glimmer of sunlight into the bottom of the dumpster juice of the NFC South.

If you re-sign Jameis get a stud RT in the first round.

That’s why yer the best Bucs source of ngoni! Golden nuggets that may fly under radar like these..Thanks for loading my Buc hater 12 gauge with proof positive this team is improving by the week and that o line making ALot of money are getting it done up front ..and beyond ! Love Jenson leading the Rojo dash!! Sunday’s Win isn’t corner turning but a brick in the road to redemption and respectability for OUR NFL FRANCHISE …

Again with the great film isolations. I smell a RoJo (I still prefer RonJon) breakout game coming in New Orleans. He really had it this week if you think about the 78 yards on two runs he had called back. Fn Refs

Also of note: NO PRE-SNAP PENALTIES!
The illegal shift was suspect, but Godwin needs to watch out on leaning forward at the end of his shifts. Been a concern of mine since last year and looks like the referees were eyeing it. Sucks because that penalty, and a double holding call on Bobo and Howard, negated big runs.
Lots of good film and some mistakes to build and clean up for N’awlins this Sunday

@DB55
Hoping we go RT with either R1 or R2 pick next year. Fortify this line for the next few years.

That Twitter account has a bunch of good video highlights, checkout his video on the Ronnie Jones runs. When you watch the video you see so much shiftiness, when last year Jones seemingly had none of that.

Jason Licht is a genius.

Thanks Rod Munch those were quality videos. Really cool angle on the long run that got called back & you can really see how hard he was fighting for the endzone. Can see it much better then the TV angle.
Plus there was another clip of Jensen making a pancake block. Can never see too man of those.

Note how they are delivering the blows on the DLine -even Dotson just punks the LE on the bottom video – night and day performance thus far, even in the losses

With everybody on o-line play and RoJo. That run he had in the second half when the Rams were mounting a come back was a back breaker. Broke 4 or 5 tackles. Made me a believer.

Soebuc
go along with a stud right tackle in the first round!
do not get a cornerback in the draft–buy one of those in FA
hopefully JW is a keeper cause that opens up the draft!

I believe the deal was a one-week moratorium, not Beatification.
