I don’t know how many times it can be said. New Orleans spends high draft capital on their O-line almost every season. They understand the concept of protecting their QB. NE does the same thing. Now granted they’re usually picking in the latter rounds but they have no qualms about picking an offensive or defensive lineman with their pick. Us, well we pick an inside linebacker. Teams like NO or NE win all the time and they usually pick near the end of every draft.
Why is that?
Because games are won or lost in the trenches.

Craig:
Sorry to see you go. But do know without those ads, Ira’s podcast does not exist. Ira doesn’t work for free. Don’t know of too many podcasts that exist without ads. Joe listens to several pods each week. All have ads. Unfortunately, Joe is not a section 501(c)(3) operation.

Lol I agree with Realist. I was thinking it sounds like the sage needs to upgrade his walkie talkie.
There’s 2 ways to enjoy internet content: Pay with cash or pay with ads. Ads are the tiniest of inconveniences that are worth every second.

I can appreciate the ads. Almost every podcast I listen to has them. But a declining product with more obtrusive ads is not a winning formula.
It’s like Mike Smith’s defense. It can last for years and have a couple streaks of greatness to make you think it’s going well, but in the long term it’s not going to get you where you need to go. It’s a shame you don’t seem to want to see the entire picture.
For instance I can’t even click on “Submit Comment” on this page on mobile without turning my phone sideways because there is an ad in the way. Anyway, good luck to you. I wish Ira the best.
