Steamed.
It seems to Joe that the Bucs locker room is a powder keg about to blow the lid off of things.
On the Buccaneers Radio Network, you can sure tell some players are absolutely fed up with things. And two of those players are the two best players on both sides of the ball for the Bucs, Mike Evans and Lavonte David.
Per Arians, though he did not offer specifics, it seems David may have torn into the secondary if not the defense and perhaps the whole team in the locker room after the game.
“Once again, our defensive backs gave up plays with poor technique,” Arians told T.J. Rives live on the Buccaneers Radio Network.
“I am sick and tired of it to be honest. I didn’t have to say a word to them. Lavonte took over.”
Just before Arians spoke to Rives, David did. Asked for a reaction to the game, David, clearly frustrated, said, “It’s a broken record. It’s beating a dead horse.”
Evans was no less upset.
“This offense doesn’t play consistent at all!” Evans said.
Well, the way Joe looks at it, the season is over. A coach like Arians cannot say he is sick of things and continue to play Breshad Perriman, who can run (mostly with his head up his rear), quit giving the GD ball to Peyton Barber on damn near every first down up the middle, and get rid of Dare-you-to-play Ohgodheisawful.
Until then, all of this “I’m tired of it” talk is just empty talk.
The season is done. The tough talk should have taken place weeks ago.
For a team to come off a bye week and two straight losses to play as sloppy as the Bucs did is inexcusable and if someone’s head doesn’t roll as a result, then that’s on Team Glazer.

I think Arians is still a big upgrade over Koetter and as good as any coach the Bucs have had not named Dungy. The results are not yet showing up on the scoreboard, but a lot of that has to do with having an inconsistent QB and a lack of talent at key spots (which is on Licht).
This is yet another game the Bucs should’ve won. The biggest needs are a true shutdown CB, one truly elite OL, and a QB who doesn’t throw games away.

His offensive gameplan stunk to start with today With offensive weapons like the receivers, tight ends and runners who can catch a football, this idiot HC keeps calling running-up-the-middle plays to start a game??? Right. Same old crap as Chucky Gruden. After he/Dungy won the SB, he was an overrated Offensive joke. Same old play calls and never changed in the second half. Was it just me or did I see 2-3 receivers within 5yds of each other on numerous plays? Routes? What Routes? Keep our D line and backers. Blow up the rest of the team. It’s over Katie. Interesting to hear that Arians says he’s sick & tired of the Bucs’ Secondary using bad technique, yet he doesn’t have the cojones to say a single word about how bad HIS offense, and specifically Jameis Winston, played.
The Bucs’ defense played goo enough to win this ballgame had it not been for the Bucs’ offense continually crapping the bed. THAT’S on Winston and THAT’S on Leftwich. Barber & Ogunbowale are both mediocre at best; Jones needs to be getting the lion’s share of the carries. Perriman & Miller have no business even being in the NFL, despite what Gump thinks. And this Bucs’ OLine should be downright ashamed of itself; their play today was disgusting.
No need to blow it all up though. Relegate Leftwich to an observer role, and demand that Arians call the plays. If he refuses, fire him for cause. Bench Winston & start Griffin for a 3-game commitment at least. Get rid of Perriman & Miller; they’re both useless. Keep VHIII & MJ Stewart for now, but relegate them to the bench so we can get these youngsters some game-time. How about a little ACCOUNTABILITY coach, starting with yourself.

QB can’t keep turning the ball over. You can’t waste time outs because you can’t get set. On 4th and 1 with the game on the line you run it up the middle? That is bad play calling and the fact they can’t trust the damn QB because of previous turn overs in the game. Does not take much common sense here 4th and 1 game on the line I would want it in my stars hands you know the guy that pretty much kept you in the damn game Mike Evans or Chris Godwin and if they can’t make a play then at least you lose going to the best players on your damn team.

I am very pleased with the Bucs performance today. Ton of mistakes cost us in the 1st half and in the 2nd half we were cheated multiple multiple times. Apparently cheating is allowed to take place in today’s NFL. Bucs made the plays to win today!! There are still a lot of mistakes to clean up but was a great winning effort today. I’m confident we can win a lot more games the rest of season!!

It’s looking more like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to cut bait with former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston. Frankly, he just can’t be counted on to be the guy he was drafted to be. Thus, Hurts could be the next player in the mix to line up under center for the Bucs. His pristine decision-making would be a welcomed diversion from the way Winston has played.
Can you imagine a larger Kyler Murray with deep ball arm????

He may the beat Bucs player ever. He should be a HOF wide receiver but he is stuck on the bucs team.
For Mike I wish him traded to a team that can meet his capabilities and provide him the pro bowl QB he deserves to make HOF numbers. As a Bucs fan I dont want to see that at all.
As a huge fan of ME13 I dream of Brady. Brew, OMG Rodgers….. Mike deserves better.

Defensive secondary had to continually be put in the right place ALL game. This is rare praise for LVD but, without him putting guys in position all game, it would’ve been worse.
2nd, Jameis just doesn’t see the field. Too many poor decisions. The plays were there.
3rd, Perriman and Dare are NOT good football players, PERIOD!
Last, you cannot be successful turning the ball over again and again. There is no debate about this.

I just think you all are sadly mistaken thinking a new QB coming in will fix things. This team needs to start learning how to win as a team first. I saw to many guys not fighting for the ball on offense and questionable route running. I will support whoever is at QB but I’m afraid he is not the only problem here. Idiots, season is over no need to come here to complain anymore or “root” for the team. It’s pretty dumb to think that you can sell at this point in the season and a team wont snake you out of draft picks. No one is giving us the value our good players are worth. They ain’t blowing it up and if they did stop acting like it will keep you all from complaining. Seems like so many of you watch one game a week and dont see other teams make mistakes. Perriman should be cut not getting his foot down on that touchdown and the line is horrible
This issue is you could see where the weaknesses were in training camp and everyone from BA to licht pretended like it was going to be ok, like barber would actually be a good starting back like dare could actually block and like perriman actually could resurrect his career and learn how to run routes and catch…..this isn’t on the players it’s on licht and BA cuz a lot of them logging playing time shouldn’t be here

The snap to the face Jameis said was his fault. The goal-line collision play was due to his snap call to early (also self admitted). The 10 yard overthrow was his turnover. The strip will give him 50/50 because DSmith got blown up but he had zero awareness. Will give him a pass on the Perriman finisher because that looked like a wrong route / giveup. Still can’t win with that many avoidable miscues.

I think the defense took a big step forward today, they will be gelled in another game or two.
The Bucs would be fools to trade Lavonte, he will be the grown-up in the room that will make them work.

I’ve defended Jmiss since day one; but I just can’t do it anymore….. like today I know it’s not always his fault but I just can’t anymore…. there are other quarterbacks with worse nO-lines & receivers that don’t turn the ball over 1/16th as much…. it’s maddening how one week he can look like an MVP candidate picking apart the best defenses in the league… & the very next week against a sub-par opponent; he looks like a bum throwing a frozen turkey that’s needs to be run out of town……. I got 1 for you guys. Why not build the team like the 49ers. They don’t ask Jimmy G to win the game on his on like you guys expect Jamies to do . If we had a defense like that this would have been a win . If we had a running game like that this would have been a blow out . The main problem with our team is we got a GM that didn’t know nothing about the history of the bucs when we was winning. We are a defensive type of team not a forness team . We are a physical type of team not a soft type of team. On offense we were hard nose pounding the ball forcing our will against defenses. We once had our own identity after the Oilers left town that’s why I became a bucs fan in 1995 cause I saw how Moon got blame for every lost and the defense was just to soft. But when I look at the 49ers I see the old bucs when winning was the only thing that matter. We didn’t care about quarterback and how many yards or touchdowns he has . The TEAM sucks … Jameis was the greatest winner the NCAA ever saw going 26-1 and then got sucked into the Tampa black hole … Arians is a 2x NFL COY and 2x SB Champ as an assistant … and then got sucked into the Tampa black hole.
The fans SUCK far more than the team … they bash the team, bash the players, bash the coaches, bash the GM, bash the owners, don’t buy tickets so every home game is really a road game … and then whine when the team loses because they feel they DESERVE some more Ws ….
