“You Can Tell He’s Focused As Ever”

July 11th, 2019

An ex-Buc likes what he sees in person

Joe is very encouraged by an outsider’s view of training this summer with America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston.

This week, Jameis was grinding away in Tampa with Randy Moss, Cameron Brate and other current and former Bucs.

The manbeast himself, JoeBucsFan.com intern Zach Seifter, was there taking notes and talking to one of the participants, Redskins linebacker Mason Foster, the Bucs’ third-round pick in 2011.

Foster is a South Tampa homeowner and has played against Jameis and trained alongside him during offseasons. The Bucs franchise quarterback has impressed Foster, who seems to see something extra this summer.

“I think he’s a great quarterback, man. Great guy,” Foster said. “And I know there’s a lot of stuff said about him, but he’s out here every summer working like he’s working. And I’ve seen him work first-hand; I’ve played against him first-hand. He’s a great player. … You can tell he’s focused as ever and, you know, this is going to be a big year for him.”

For the Jameis haters who might say Foster is just being nice and talking the talk, well, Foster easily could have blown off any questions about Jameis by saying he only wanted to talk about Redskins QBs, or he could have said he doesn’t know Jameis very well.

Jameis should be “focused as ever.” He’s got a ton to learn about playing in a new offense for the first time since 2015, and it’s a contract year with a fan base that’s going to be ornery as hell if the Bucs can’t win half their games in September and October.

sounds like mason foster wants to play for the bucs again…read between the lines…

he could be a cap casualty and then wind up playing for bucco bruce

  2. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

So Winston wasn’t totally focused before now? Excuses, excuses….Groundhog Day. Again.

  3. Clodhopper Says:

Deja Vu. Guess it’s time for our yearly “Jameis is super focused on greatness” article

  4. 813bucboi Says:

not worried about winston…..oline is a different story….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  5. Lord Cornelius Says:

4500 yards 30+ TDS and 10 INT if he just continues his pace from last year when reinserted as the starter.

    GO BUCS!

  6. Louis Friend Says:

Focused doesn’t mean anything really. Almost all – if not every single QB in the league is giving that impression to other people. The only news would be if it were anything but that. And let’s be fair, he was focused in years past and the results have mirrored each other season to season. The only question this year is will repeating the same things produce a different result?

  7. Jeff Says:

He stopped drinking and he has a kid now. That will do wonders for his performance at work.

  8. Destinjohnny Says:

Jameis works really hard and seems to be a team leader
    This is all awesome
My issue with him is his god given skill set.
He doesn’t have the elite gene. He wasn’t born with it

  9. AKickInTheBucNuts Says:

My plumber is “focused” on clearing my clog.

JW should “focus” on production. ie: stop turning the ball over.

When JW has enough “focus” to stop turning the ball over, that’s when I’ll pay attention.

  10. Race to 10 Says:

As if he would know if winston was not focused before. They work out together and dude trains hard why would it have just started this year. No wonder the Joe’s are always typing negative news because apparently that’s all some of you idiots want to read

  11. Bruce Blahak Says:

Been “focused” for 4 years, means nothing. He has peaked, if the truth is to be told. There’s nothing more to see…

  12. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

    “As ever”…

  13. AceOfAerospace Says:

Jameis will be great this year. I’m sure of it…if not, he’ll be gone.

  14. Kobe Faker Says:

“JW3 has to learn and play how the elite QBs know & play

1 play does not define the series

JW3 has to learn to throw the ball away and regroup and restart the next play

Throw the ball away 5 times in a row if the play is not there. JW3 has the skillset to throw downfield like only a few in the history of the game…he has to learn when to and when not to if it isnt there

Kobe Faker has stated repeatedly that JW3 will be elite but probably 2 more years

    How does he get there?

Playing. More games. QB is a job. People get better when perform their job with more experience

Why is the QB position (job) any different?

You think Kobe Faker was a born troll like he is presently?”

    Kobe Faker

  15. Rod Munch Says:

    #4 in QBr

Take away the road game against a non-division team in bad weather and he’s the #1 in QBr.

People talking about Jameis like he’s not any good, are literally idiots. As in literally.

  16. bkgrime Says:

Jameis will surprise a lot of fans in Tampa this year. Big money coming his way if he gets us to the playoffs.

  17. Oneilbucs Says:

See bigrime statements like that is the reason why we lose. It’s going to take more than Jamies to get to the playoffs. See the national media says the same things about the bucs that it’s all on Jamies. And if you notice that he’s the only quarterback in the league that if the team lose it’s his fault. Now I just heard yesterday on fox sports that the eagles need to run the ball to help Wentz and the eagles to be successful this year. But Jamies shouldn’t need a running game or a defense and the bucs should still win and if not it’s Jamies fault lol lol lol ! That’s just the truth……

  18. Pittsshore Says:

Same articles year after year with this loser. It does not matter how hard you work when you are an idiot. He may get a little leaner and lighter but he still has the same pea brain. Working long days and harder than ever does not increase your intelligence.

  19. Pittsshore Says:

One more thing. Go to the Penthouse on West Shore, bear Int Plaza. Pay the girl up front then walk in through the left, look immediately left when you walk into the large room, this is VIP area. This is where you will find your “pro bowl” QB. He parks his car way back by the hotel so he can hide. Sure does not look like a changed man to me.

  20. Magadude Says:

“And I know there’s a lot of stuff said about him,,,,”

Yeah, people are describing where he does well and where he’s not getting it done. Over four years, Winston’s total body of work is he is neither a great player nor a leader and not even a guy who follows the minimal standards of common decency in society. It’s been clear times past his focus is not where it needs to be. And this isn’t what people just “say about him.” This is his record. If Wnston doesn’t like the record, fix the record. That takes time…maybe time he doesn’t have. There is no slop time and he may not be able to prove what he needs to in the time he does have. Already got people talking about a franchise tag which if this team stinks this year, and there are still question marks on Winston, it keeps the team back for at least another year before moving forward if needed. The clock is ticking.

  21. Magadude Says:

Well Pittshore, if he’s not violating any laws or team/NFL policies, not much to say on that. That stuff is not my cup of tea but others do it in their spare time. All it does makes me think is if that is true and how time is spent it’s not the image he seems to try to project, and probably not one his employer would be excited about. For the team’s sake, I mostly hope he (and others) don’t give us a another controversy this year. MRSA, Tedford, PEDs, Freeman’s Head, Lovie, Uber….so sick of it all.

  22. JimmyJack Says:

Maga the clock is ticking on you too. You now have less then 2 months to have you fun.

At that point all of your opinions about the past will be rendered insignificant.

Be it good or bad the results will trump anything you talk about now. All of the focus will be on game performance and nothing you have ever said will matter.

So have you fun and hurry up cause that clock is ticking.

  23. SteveK Says:

    KobeFaker,

Two more years before Winston is elite? Hell no, dude!

If a QB, drafted number one overall, isn’t “elite” after five years, why would they be after year 7-going into year 8?

If Winston doesn’t ascend this year into a top 16 (top half in the league) then we need to cut bait.

Why not draft a rookie, pay them peanuts and see if they can become elite in five years, as opposed to the 7-8 you suggest for Jameis?

  24. SteveK Says:

If we go 5-11, 6-10, or 7-9, then it will most likely mean our QB can’t get us past being fourth best in the division. That means draft a new one!

  25. AlteredEgo Says: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

Jameis will play just good enough to put the top QB draft prospects out of reach….

  26. SteveK Says:

    Rod Munch aka King Apologist!

The Cinci game counts. Jameis was god awful that game.

How did Fitzmagic do when he went in? Pretty sure the “weather” was not the problem.

I understand Jameis could be rusty and shaky last year, but to suggest it’s anything but his own damn fault (suspension) is ludicrous.

Since that game in Cinci counted in the standings, we should count the statistics.

With that said, I hope Jameis takes an excuse-free next step next year.

  27. SteveK Says:

And, Rod Munch, to suggest that fans with less confidence in Jameis’ ability to produce winning results are idiots is dumb as hell.

Only an idiot would want to celebrate last place in the NFC S, the fourth best QB in the division- and so on.

Let’s see Jameis play smart, winning football before you crown his ass and cherry pick statistics to suit your argument.

Also, your use of name calling shows your weak ass argument.

Argue points and not insults, please!

  28. AwShbucs Says:

Kobe likes to pretend hes some kind of sooth sayer or Nostradamus. When the reality is he couldn’t even predict the outcome of a single game. Back in 2016 he swore he would never return to this site as Kobe Faker if we beat the Chiefs because he was so confident that we’d lose.

His predictive abilities are lacking to say the least. Also he doesn’t keep his word.

  29. Magadude Says:

    Well said SteveK…

And oh, I was at the CIN game. Weather was a little blustery, pretty much same for whole game. Football is played outside. Go figure.

I look at the whole body of work. Threw four years, good, bad, ugly…not worth the “hassle.”

  30. Jean Lafitte Says:

That’s very nice of Mason to say that about Jameis but it’s not focus or his practice habits we’ve been concerned about, it’s his accuracy, awareness, and ball security. JW is a driven young man and seems focused on the big picture but can he take over a game, and put teams away?

  31. Hodad Says:

Pittsshore, it sure sounds like you know your way around the place. What kind of man does that make you? Perhaps one who lies about the Q.B. he obviously hates?

  32. BucEmUp Says:

Would have been nice to keep Foster around. Just another victim of PATHETIC LACK OF COACHING!!!!!

  33. WestChap Says:

I do not envy the Joes: what do you write about this time of year? I’ve had my fill of the JW is listening, working out or focusing articles. I think my favorite one was the year he was playing catch with his dog… the dog was definitely dialed in that year, hard to tell with JW. I can’t remember if that was the year he was trying not to try too hard or getting rid of his baby fat or something… he was definitely focused on something.

  34. Lamarcus Says:

JW is a top 10 Qb that happens to play for awful teams. Least of my worries.

  35. BucsBandit Says:

    LOLZ.

I don’t think there’s ever been an NFL QB in history that has had more “excuses” or “do-overs” or “this year feels different” crap than Jameis Winston.

CUT WINSTON ALREADY. Let’s move on to the future.

  36. stpetebucsfan Says:

And this is a surprise? JW totally tuned in this year?

Remember Kenny Loggins great hit…”This Is It.” CBS used as music lead in to an NCAA championship game when it was a hit.

This is JW’s song this year. It’s probably hyperbolic to suggest his career is on the line…even if he fails, his arm and size and Heisman trophy will get him another chance….somewhere else!
And he’ll probably fight to not become another journeyman backup.

JW’s future with the Bucs rides on this season and along with it Licht’s career as GM here.

That should focus anybody!!! Certainly has focused the fans and JBF posters.

  37. Bob in Valrico Says:

There is going to be a learning curve adjusting to the new offense and defense.
But Steve’s comment of playing smart, winning football applies to all. Hope Arians and staff can drive that point home. I predict 8-8 because of that.
Any worse and people will lose jobs, IMO.

  38. Buc4evr Says:

Winston will prove doubters wrong this year. Our defense will be on fire, running game will be much better. Spence will be a sack machine. Hope springs eternal this time of year. Lol. go Bucs!!!

  39. Defense Rules Says:

@BucsBandit … “CUT WINSTON ALREADY. Let’s move on to the future.”

It’s hard to take a comment like that seriously Bandit. As of this moment, Jameis is under contract to make $20.9 mil this season. His dead-Cap value is exactly the same: $20.9 mil. Meaning … IF we CUT HIM NOW, he still gets paid $20.9 mil AND counts $20.9 mil against our salary Cap.

So with no money to find a replacement, Blaine Gabbert just became your starting QB for the season, with Ryan Griffin as his backup. Is that REALLY what you want to see happen this season?

No question that Jameis has had ups and down and ‘hassles’ during his 4 years here in Tampa. Glazers made a HUGE investment in him back in 2015 when they burned their #1 pick to draft him. Surely as businessmen they want to see if that HUGE investment can be salvaged. Koetter wasn’t getting it done, and Jameis continued on his up-and-down journey under his tutelage.

None of us know at this point if Bruce Arians can FIX Jameis. What we do know is that Koetter & his minions couldn’t. What we also know is that Jameis is on a 5th-year ‘prove it’ contract, and the ones he has to ‘prove it’ to are the Glazers, not you or me. Personally i HOPE that Jameis proves that he’s up to the task and has a fantastic year. IF he does, the Bucs should also do well, and THAT’S what I care about the most. IF Jameis doesn’t have a good year, I wouldn’t blame the Glazers for cutting their losses and moving on. Knowing how to say ‘We’ve seen enough’ is also what good businessmen do.

  40. Ndog Says:

Again simply said some of the most clueless fans in all of sports reside right here on this website. At least our area is good at something, being clueless.

  41. JimmyJack Says:

Ndog you apparently are not capable of commenting without attack Us as a fanbase. You should know that you are the lowest fan of them all who will attack his own because they have a different opinion……which is what you are doing.

Through you crusades on here you have done more to create a divide within our base then anything else…..just to let you know. Fan support is tough for a team that has been losers for 2 decades(rounded up) now & we need all the fans we can get but sometimes I think we’d be better off without you………..continue on with your whiney insults and namecalling.

    GO BUCS!!!!

  42. Reach87 Says:

Same ole drivel from the same ole crowd. Team game. Not an excuse. Fact. I get it, you don’t know the game but have a right to say whatever you want. If you saw a player at the penthouse you had the absolute perfect chance to walk up to him and tell him how much you think he sucks. How he’s a bust, how he lied. Why didn’t you? Funny. Sad. Go Bucs!

  43. #1bucsfan Says:

Mega your just a Winston hater nothing else. you talk about past events. Dude played lights out wen he got reinstated. Don’t act like your mister perfect cuz that’s what you type quit living in the past. Don’t worry about other only worrie about yourself

Feeling like a schlepp POS. A bored one. WHY am I watching AGAIN a re-run of the Bucs in Hard Knocks?!

WHY can’t I just will away the next two weeks?

Isn’t there a meeting somewhere in Tampa Incan attend where I can be honest and say, “Hi, my name’s Todd and I’m a Buccaholic. May I please have a $10 beer?!”

  46. Wesley Says:

Dude has a great work ethic my concern is he’ll always just be good but not great.

    .
    .

LOL that’s how we roll. Actually, though, we know that top prospects are not always the best future quarterbacks. While we have a guy (Arians) on the payroll who is supposed to know quarterbacks so well, it would be good to take advantage of his scouting skills.

No matter how well Jameis plays, we should draft a quarterback next year, if Griffin isn’t the future. If we wind up not needing him, he can be a valuable trade commodity. Win/win.

  48. Ndog Says:

I am not attacking I am telling the truth. And I’m not the one actively rooting against my own team. # clueless

I’ve been here before you and will be here after you so move along and let the grown ups watch the game since you don’t understand what is going on anyways. Bye bye

DR, you make too much sense. Everything you said was logical and makes sense. It doesn’t matter though, because all of the screamers on both sides of the argument will keep digging at each other just because…

This is why I stopped commenting on a lot of these threads. You can only repeat yourself so many times before you realize there are a fixed number of people who don’t want to listen to reason. They have too much emotion wrapped up in the issue. It’s the “Should Jameis start against the Bears when he gets off of suspension?” argument all over again. We went back and forth on that for months.

Let it play itself out, peeps! All will be revealed in the end! Then we can keep arguing about the decision after it’s made.

    =D

  54. Magadude Says:

JimmyJack, yes, the clock is ticking…but not on me. It’s funny I’m so in your head you seem to think any of this affects me, or my opinions…which by the way, I’ve not been proven wrong on a thing. As for me, I’m just not a “told you so” kind of guy. If I were, I’d spend to much time telling guys like you. And unlike you, I don’t act like a 13 year old “banning” people and attacking them for opinions…grow up.

  55. Ndog Says:

    It Figures the truth hurts.

Sorry I am actually a fan of the Bucs, you know this is Bucs fan site don’t you?

  56. Rod Munch Says:

SteveK – I’m saying Winston had a really bad game in poor conditions – that is just a fact. Was the game in bad weather? Yes. Was the game on the road? Yes. Was the game against a non-division foe? Yes. Those are all facts – and you take those into account when you talk about performance. For example, Jameis, on the road in Baltimore is a more challenging game than say playing the 49ers at home. If Jameis performs better, at home, in good weather, against a bad defense – than he does against the top defense, on the road, in bad weather, is that an excuse – or just a fact used as a way to frame performance? People need to be less triggered and evaluate if comments are true, or false. Another fact, in unadjusted QBr, Winston was 4th in the league – if you remove that extremely poor game from the stat sheet, he leads the league in QBr. If you want to counter that you should in fact remove his best game also to do the average, then that would be a fair point – but in any case the point is numbers show Winston is very very good and those dopes who think he isn’t – well the facts/stats aren’t with you.

  57. Ndog Says:

So if/when Jameis plays well this year are you all going to keep rooting against the Bucs and it’s QB like you are now? Cause you are spewing so much garbage now it is going to be impossible to go back. Trust me the people that actually have a clue WILL NOT let you forget if you have the guts to come back, which I’m sure you won’t.

  58. Ndog Says:

Give up Rod they will never accept the truth cause they don’t want to. See this is what we have to understand no matter what proof we provide it will not make a difference cause the hate is to strong. Nothing will matter, not stats, not video, not wins, not anything cause they want him to fail cause losing without Jameis to them would be better than us winning with Jameis.

  59. SteveK Says:

    Rod Munch,

Thanks for the reply. I see your point. There are good things about Jameis. I want to see him win a road game early. He hasn’t won one since sand diego two years ago.

I understand it’s not all on Jameis, but at some point the #1 overall pick at QB needs to be a consistent game changer.

I watched the Cincy game last year, and I believe there were another two or three potential (dropped) INT’s.

I hope Jameis is a beast in Arians O. We could use the fire power.

  60. SteveK Says:

    Ndog,

Dude, wins are what count. Jameis has some good stats, it the turnover rate is too high. If he tightens up his turnovers, then we stand a better chance at winning- and maybe have a chance for a competitive season and playoffs.

All I know is that if we finish with a crappy record, how can we justify paying Jameis that much in a contract, especially if we can pay a rookie fat less and put more of the salary cap towards other holes. It’s hard to pay a QB big bucks I’d they are not top 10.

I’m pulling for Jameis and he has a lot to prove.

  61. JimmyJack Says:

Actually Ndog if you read SteveKs comments(and many others for that matter) they are rooting for Winston. They are just being critical of his faults. Most of the fans you complain about are not rooting for failure that’s just in your head………And I know this first hand cause you have labeled me a hater in the past even though I’m a big time Winston guy……….Not sure why you think this guy is above critism but I got new for you. He ain’t.

And then fans have to defend their right to be critical and find themselves in a argument against Winston…….This is why I say that you do more harm to the fanbase by good. You strengthen the divide.

  62. Ndog Says:

@BucsBandit … “CUT WINSTON ALREADY. Let’s move on to the future.”

If we go 5-11, 6-10, or 7-9, then it will most likely mean our QB can’t get us past being fourth best in the division. That means draft a new one!

Do these comments look like people rooting for Jameis?

Please JimmyJack don’t be so naive.

  63. JimmyJack Says:

Maga that is funny cause you are dead wrong. The clock is ticking on you. It is ticking on your revelance.

You are one of the rare few fans that is still holding a grudge about Winston. The entire rest of us had forgiven, forgotten & are moving on. We are worried about on field results. Once we get these results they will deem youre points completely insignificant. Lucky for you there are 2 monthes left til the season starts so you can have your fun for now.

The fate of Winston will be decided on the field. You constantly bringing up old news daily will not change this. But hey keep trying. It will be fun watching you fail………And fail you will……..I’ll be there in that first game and will be listening for fans booing Winston coming out of the tunnel, just for you. And I already know how many fans that will be. NONE

  64. JimmyJack Says:

Ndog…….The 1st comment was funny. That guy defientally aren’t rooting for Winston.

I don’t see a big issue with the other ones. Just critism bro. I don’t agree with all them but they are just opinions. Nothing more. Dang you got some things skin……….Comments like those would happen in any town about a perrienal losing QB. Put Winston in NY or Chi with his W-L record and I guarantee it would be worse. It’s just the nature of sports.

  65. JimmyJack Says:

    Thin***

  66. SteveK Says:

    Ndog,

Dude, I’m just spouting facts! I root for Jameis and will be wearing his jersey on sundays. I have even drafted Winston in fantasy each of the past two years. I root for my QB, but I refuse to acknowledge the truth and I will always put being a fan of the team (do what’s best for the team) ahead of my interests in one player.

I’m sorry, but how can we pay a big contract to a QB if we finish 5-11, 6-10 or 7-9, last in the division with potentially the piety best QB of the division by a wide margin?

I refuse to ignore the results and the losing of my team. I want Jameis to come out firing and have a career year. That would mean the Bucs are in good shape. I’m getting heart burn from hearing excuses and trying to put lipstick on the pig (🐖 = losing).

Bottom line, if the Bucs really suck, we may need a new QB bc in 5 years we haven’t made the playoffs, and finished in the basement of the NFCS.

  67. SteveK Says:

Refuse to NOT acknowledge the truth*

  68. Ndog Says:

SteveK I asked time and time again please name the QB that could win with a bottom 5 running game a bottom 5 defense and a bottom 5 kicking game? You keep babbling on about winning WHAT DON’T YOU GET ABOUT needing at least a component team around any QB? You keep talking like you expect him to win at all costs. He has literally played damn near a perfect game (at home against Atlanta in 2017) and lost but that doesn’t matter to you all you see is the loss. He played very well against the Bills and Packers but we lost but none of it matters cause we lost but you fail to acknowledge that our defense gave up points at will especially by just lining up and running the ball over and over and over again with zero resistance. And yet to you that is all the QB. Are you daft man?

SteveK, Ndog, JJack. All valid comments. JBF is better when we have differing opinions. I’ve always been on the same page with Ndog as it relates to Jameis. Dude is light years better than any QB the franchise had as it relates to actually playing for the Bucs. Many of you would love to run him out of town. I don’t give an eff. I’m riding with Winston. Will be plenty of time for the doubters to jump on board.

  70. Ndog Says:

We couldn’t make kicks, we couldn’t stop the run, we couldn’t get to the QB, we couldn’t run the ball and our coaches never held our players accountable for anything. Yet Jameis was held accountable but how about everyone else? You want to blame him fine but please tell us who would win with that?

  71. Snook Says:

    Don’t mistake activity for achievement.

  72. Magadude Says:

JimmyJack says: “You are one of the rare few fans that is still holding a grudge about Winston. The entire rest of us had forgiven, forgotten & are moving on. We are worried about on field results.”

And you believe that? What empiracle evidence do you base these crazy statements on? And you claim to speak for basically all, and know everyone, but you know so little. Right out the gate you carry no cred.

I don’t hold a grudge against Winston. I’m not a blind sheep. And I am stating that his record in all areas…which is much more than just on the field for a franchise QB, is not up to snuff and if he, and his protectors like you want to make a case for him, then he needs to improve his record. Only fools invoke “…the last six games” or “other than the CIN game last year” (and other than being suspended for being selfish), or “he balled out at FSU” (when he wasn’t suspended). Sure, other than that, he’s a great QB.

You can’t make Winston’s record change by declaring that others’ opinions don’t exist, or by telling people to go away who don’t agree with you. Are you American? Curious. Maybe you come from a country where that’s how people do things. that is, you spend no time arguing why your point would be logical and instead, use your energy to try to isolate or send those away who put stuff out there you don’t like.

You should consider that Winston is not already signed up for a big deal for a reason, and so far has done nothing to show he warrants one. Start there.

I actually agree with this: but truth be told, it doesn’t take a lot to outshine our stable of franchise quarterbacks. Winston has skills. He needs to take off!

    Go Bucs!!!

  74. Magadude Says:

Ndog…if I’m correct, those players who didn’t perform are mostly gone, as much as lack of $$$ will allow. Others are about to be gone over the short term (next year or two). All should be held accountable, including the coaches (who are no longer here) and the QB (who might be…the clock is ticking). Can Winston get through just one season without one new negative off field and on field story/drama? Will it be enough?

  75. Notabucsfan Says:

    Let’s see now.
    1) No running game, check
    2) Shakey o-line, check
    3) Cowardly play calling, check
    4) Poor coaching, check
    5) Atrocious defense, check
    6) Laughable kicking game, check
    7) And last but hardly least, you are the Bucs. The worst run professional sports team in the history of history, check.

Add it all up and what do the great yuks fans decide the problem is, the QB. About the only thing worse than the bucs coaching is their overall management and fans.

    You guys deserve each other.

  76. D1 Says:

    Magadude,

NDOG in his infinite wisdom posed an interesting question. Obviously,
this was unintentional, but the fact is He posed an interesting question.

If the coaches held no one accountable . Then why did they hold winston accountable?

If you’re willing to overlook the flawed logic and revisit the question, it is an excellent line of inquiry. I grant you ndog was relying on bias and inference to make a point but it is unsupported, unsubstantiated and ill defined as to what he and ultimately we should take away from the incident . But that isn’t cause to dismiss the point or look at it in an effort to gain additional insight .

  77. BucsBandit Says:

    NDOG,

Stop making false claims that those that dislike Winston aren’t Bucs fans and are rooting against the team. it’s the opposite.

I would bet I’ve been to more Bucs games and have spent more money on this team than you have. I was also at the Super Bowl in 2003 and it was (and still is) one of the best days of my life.

Just because I don’t drink the Jameis Winston koolaid like you and can see how this guy isn’t all he’s cracked up to be… his bad decision-making, his accuracy issues, his turnovers… let alone his lack of wins.

I want the Bucs to return to winning ways. Period.

Jameis Winston is NOT the answer. The sooner we get rid of him the better. One day you’ll see the light yourself.

  78. Losing Hope Says:

Since when did speaking the honest truth make u a hater? Any way…. Great. Just what we need, a qb that’s an OFFSEASON winner

  79. Oneilbucs Says:

Bucsbandit why do yall put so much focus on Jamies??? This hold team is trash. But I think some of the hate for Jamies is because of his race. This is the south and a lot of the people down here will rather have a white quarterback. And that’s never going to change. That’s why Jamies has to win even when every body know that this team is trash. We need to build defense and get him a running game just like all the other wining teams has. Yall act like we have a good running back and a defense.

  80. Magadude Says:

@D1…yes, Winston got benched for his terrible play in CIN, which was the week after he could easily have blown the CLE by ignoring what the coaches sent in from the sideline. So that covered accountability for THAT…even then, his six games of good as expected QB play is not exactly a clear shot for a new contract.
