“I Think We’re Pretty Close”

It only took one offseason.
That’s what second year receiver Justin Watson appeared to say today following the Bucs’ first training camp practice.
The Bucs nearly have Bruce Arians’ offense down, per Watson, and following a good spring and and a good Day 1 training camp practice, he expects more progress.
“I think we’re pretty close,” Watson explained. “There’s always something you can improve on, there’s certainly a lot. But I thought at the end of the spring we were kind of hitting on all cylinders and then here, you know, we really picked up right where we left off, so I think by the time of that first preseason game, everything’s going to be clicking the way it should.”
To say everything will click by the first preseason game is a lot of pressure to put on not just the offense, but on quarterback Jameis Winston. Jameis has had his fair share of struggles throughout his NFL career, and growing pains should be expected for him and this offense in their first season under Arians.
One must remember that Carson Palmer, a good veteran quarterback, threw 14 interceptions in his first eight games as Arians’ quarterback in 2013.
If anything, that stat alone shows that picking up a new offense, particularly Arians’, is anything but easy.

Drew brees had two different careers one with the chargers and the one under Sean Payton in new Orleans. This season will tell all, in this age of football running a new offense or defense is not a good excuse

Add one to our kick ass WR corp. A great looking 3 or 4 WR replacing Hump. Very excited.
