Tough Opponents Announced For Bucs Preseason
April 9th, 2019
The Browns are coming back to Tampa
Enough with the preseason patsies.
Bucco Bruce Arians wants to test our beloved Bucs early.
Tampa Bay’s preseason opponents and a chunk of the preseason schedule was announced today. Man, the scent of real football smells so damn good.
The Bucs will open the preseason in Pittsburgh on Friday, Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. before coming home to face the Dolphins the following week (date/time to be determined).
Week 3, the dress rehearsal game, also will be at home against the surging and high-profile Browns. The Bucs will close preseason in Dallas on August 29 or 30.
That opener in Pittsburgh can’t come soon enough. Joe is fired up!

As long as there is no hurricane or suspension or early bye I am OK with whatever schedule really

Already the Joes afraid of Cleveland lol so pathetic!! We all know what happens when you win the off-season. They got a good squad but they coach ain’t nobody yet ??? Joe simply said “tough opponent.” No fear implied. Even if you think Cleveland is a 7-9, 8-8 team. That’s a good test for a dress rehearsal given all their team can offer and the unknown of a first-year head coach. –Joe

Regardless of their history or hype, it’s hard to deny that the Browns look a lot better this year than in years past.

As lousy as this team is, every team is “tough”.

Good measuring stick for the defense in week 3, the opponent isn’t really consequential the other weeks IMO. Just a backdrop for evaluation

I like the fact that the preseason home games are not the 4th game. I hardly ever attended preseason game 4 because the players on the field will be on other teams or working at home depot by the next week. I might come back to Florida in early August instead of September, because the preseason home games will be more interesting to watch.
