“They’ve At Least Made An Exploratory Phone Call To The Steelers About Antonio Brown”

March 3rd, 2019

Bucs GM Jason Licht

All the movers and shakers in the NFL have been at the NFL Scouting Combine over the past five days.

That’s a lot of chatter on the scene as well as in the many bars and restaurants in downtown Indianapolis. There’s a reason it’s known as “Spring Break” (despite the freezing temperatures) for NFL coaches and personnel staffs.

CBS Sports NFL mavens prickly Pete Prisco and Jason La Canfora were on scene in Indianapolis and cut the video below.

La Canfora calmly and coolly claims the Bucs have “made an exploratory phone call to the Steelers about Antonio Brown.”

Is it true? You decide.

  1. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“I don’t even have to play football if I don’t want. I don’t even need the game. I don’t need to prove nothing to anyone,” Brown told ESPN, via NFL.com. “If they wanna play, they going to play by my rules. If not, I don’t need to play.”

Yeah. That;s really a guy we need.

  2. thunderchunkyPA Says:

NO thank you, With all the things this team needs, another diva W/R is NOT one of them.

  3. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

And Jason La Canfora is full of it.

  4. Tbbucs3 Says:

Even though AB is the #1 WR in the league……

I would much rather go after Leveon Bell because he his a threat at both RB and WR and we all know that RB is much more the position in need.

So instead of Lichts usual free agent spending on subpar bargain players, focus on 1 elite player in Bell and the Bucs become a playoff threat and Winston makes the jump he needs.

  5. The Coroner Says:

    Patrick Peterson!

  6. tmaxcon Says:

oh Joe you are going to get the choir boy loser police going today… you know low standard bucfan HATES talent. why in the hell should their team explore acquiring talent that has a personalty coupled with a desire to win… simply just does not fit glazer and low standard bucfan love of choir boy losers who claim their basement titles quietly and without heart or passion….

  7. The Coroner Says:

    DL/DE
    LG
    RB

  8. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Gruden loves dating quarterbacks…he just doesn’t want to marry one.”

And so it begins again. Jon Gruden is shopping Carr.

    lol, he’ll never learn.

  9. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Tbbucs3 Says
“Even though AB is the #1 WR in the league…”

    No he isn’t.

And Jason La Canfora is full of it.

coming from a man whose asinine assumptions and bucs predictions have never been even close much less accurate… you have been crying for 7 years since I have been here about how great the organization is and this is the year they turn it around stop embarrassing themselves. calling out every outsider national media member who nails every prediction accurately is wrong yet every damn year for nearly two decades the bucs embarrass the league, the city and YOU….. don’t even get me started on you calling dungy the clowns tenure glory years….. 500 football with ZERO CHANCE TO WIN IN POST SEASON IS NOT GLORY YEARS IT’S FAILURE!!!!! BUCS WERE PRETENDERS UNDER DUNGY THE CLOWN NEVER CONTENDERS.

those in glass houses should never toss stones sir!

  11. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The number one player at any position is determined by a combination of stats and by continuity, not by a single stat.

That’s why the media always say “Antonio Brown, who COULD be the best WR…”

  12. Tbbucs3 Says:

    Here’s what I hope we don’t do……

The Bucs Offense is clearly the strength of the team, I so HOPE that we don’t get complacent and ignore that side of the ball just do we can focus on our bad defense.

No, we need to continue to build the offensive side of the ball because I really think that we are a superstar RB/WR and a solid Oline away from becoming an offense like or close to the Chiefs or Rams.

And the defense needs to built through the draft. When you are a peice or two away like the Bucs Offense is, you handle that by grabbing a superstar player in free agency and there’s two of them from the Steelers up for grabs.

  13. Aceofaerospace Says:

Sooo, would this make Mike Evans the #2 receiver? Given the choice of the 2, I’d rather have Bell. He fills more of a need.

  14. Bobby M Says:

I believe it…The only scenario that’s can’t miss is trading for proven talent. Licht is mediocre at drafting and even worse at free agency. He should be calling around for a proven kicker because he’s terrible at selecting them himself

  15. Cobraboy Says:

Until the defense shows they can stop a team, the Bucs need more weapons and coaching to outscore opponents.

  16. Pickgrin Says:

Seems to be a lot of talk about Brown to the Bucs lately. And with all this smoke, there’s bound to be at least a bit of fire in there somewhere….

On the surface it seems implausible.

But once you start thinking about it, the mind reels at the possibilities.

    Brown, Evans, Godwin…

Good luck shutting down THAT trio on Sundays!

Bucs would have the best WR group in the league – by a WIDE margin.

Getting rid of DJax saves $10m. Not re-signing Humphries saves $8M+ (allegedly). That $18M “savings” more than pays for Antonio Brown – and gives the Bucs a literal wet dream of receiving options when you throw OJ Howard and Cam Brate into the mix…

Maybe Arians “diva” dig at Brown some weeks back – was more like a shot across the bow. Because Licht already told BA that he was going to make an attempt at getting Brown to Tampa Bay this off season….

  17. stpetebucsfan Says:

I don’t even need to debate whether AB is #1 WR or a total head case…it does NOT matter!

Joe’s favorite stat geek Thomas Bassenger crunched the numbers.

If you sign AB…simply add in ME13’s salary and the money that is already committed to JW and you have close to 50% of the salary cap invested in JUST THREE players all on offense. Now add in Donavan’s salary and even cutting DJAX won’t help!

As Bassenger points out what is left for not only for the defense but the entire team? You need more than just 22 starters..there needs to be ST’s and depth. Just 3 salaries taking up half the cap is out of the question.

And to agree with Bonzai consider this. AB is a proven malcontent. Think JW is under pressure now to get the ball to ME13 imagine having to choose between him and AB…a player who whines in a heartbeat if another receiver…read JuJu Smith Schuster…gets targeted too much. How many targets are left for OJ…a pro bowl level TE…much less Godwin…and what if we find an RB who can actually catch it out of the backfield.

AB may truly be the best WR in the league…he without a doubt is the LAST player the Bucs should be interested in, unless of course you’re talking about trading ME13.

  18. SB Says:

The headline on a current article on the Four letter reads,
“WR Brown takes no blame for rift with Steelers”

That tells you All you need to know about the guy. Bringing him here would be a disaster. Even worse than Bell.

  19. teacherman777 Says:

    Imagine Gruden getting BOTH!

A smart team would try to sign Brown and Bell.

    Boom. Dope Offense.

  20. Herbiebuc Says:

I don’t know whats going on in but nation AB clearly is a better receiver than djax if we can somehow swap those two players out that would make our offense close to unstoppable. Imagine Mike Evans going one on one with the opponent’s number two cornerback and vice versa!! Why are we waiting if the Steelers are willing to give us AB for Djax then that trade should have been made yesterday!!

  21. TexBuc Says:

You cannot save 8m on a player not under contract. Just as a city cannot spend 3 billion tax incentive.

  22. jerseybuc Says:

AB costs himself money every single time he opens his mouth. Stay away from this nut job.

  23. Tony LA Says:

    Hahaha hahaha….
That’s my reaction to the few of you who say above, “we don’t need a guy like him.”

    Bwahahahaha

Do I think the Bucs will get him?
Of course not. They’re not in the best position to do so. There are at least 10 teams who have better money and assets to make that happen.

But to say that the Bucs don’t need the best receiver in football is just ignorant mouth breathing. Come on, guys – be better.

  24. Mike Evans Goat Says:

I think Montez Sweat just put himself into the conversation with that 4.42

  25. SB Says:

^^^^^ And a 4.46 on his second run.
Legitimate 4.4 speed at 266lbs! FREAK!

  26. bucfan999 Says:

For the price of Antonio Brown we could probably get Deion Buchanan and Tyrann Matheiu for LB and S. That helps 2 positions of need on the defense and both players are familiar with the Todd Bowles defense to help train the other players on the D.

  27. SB Says:

Jeeesh Joe the comment I made about Brown was completely in bounds.
Not sure why it went into moderation and still hasn’t come out.

  28. Defense Rules Says:

Tbbucs3 … “And the defense needs to built through the draft.” I’m with you there TB, but not exclusively through the draft. We don’t have enough picks to do that for one thing, plus it usually takes several years to develop players. But most importantly IMO, the Bucs’ defense lacks LEADERSHIP right now, and that’s where quality veterans can fill a very critical need. Which LB on the roster RIGHT NOW is providing leadership to the LB position group? Which CB or S on the roster RIGHT NOW is providing leadership to the Secondary? Many seem to assume that JPP is providing leadership to the DLine position group, but personally I’m not so sure (a great example, YES, but leadership? Not so sure). Maybe I just miss the days when Sapp, Brooks & Lynch provided leadership to those 3 defensive position groups.

  29. Bucfan1988 Says:

And in other news, Mississippi State edge rusher Montez Sweat just ran a 4.42 fiery time 👀👀👀.. Damnnnnn, u kidding me? Dude is 6’6” 260 lbs..

    That’s sick man!

  30. “That guy” Says:

I don’t know why people keep linking Tampa to AB. Receiver is the last position on the entire roster TB needs.

  31. Mike Evans Goat Says:

    Sweat with official 4.41 40. HOLY $HIT

  32. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Arians seems intent on having a premier WR in addition to Evans & Godwin……he continually promotes the idea of keeping Djax and is apparently open to AB…..
He clearly wants the most powerful offense….

Myself, I’d go the other route……beef up the Oline and get a RB. Jameis desperately needs a run game……Freddie Martion & Bobo Wilson along with Justin Watson will do fine……

  33. Jimmy Says:

I don’t want either, but if we’re going to get a player from the Steelers, it better be Bell, not Brown.

  34. Darin Says:

Whoever trades for him will regret it. Not sure why anyone would. Give up assets and a qb salary for a devisive quitter? That should be on Cmon Man.

  35. Stanglassman Says:

That dumb take should be on Cmon man but not the way you want it.

I expected Montez Sweat to do well today and raise his stock but he’s just out there shocking people. We’ve got to seriously consider him at 5 if the big three are gone or in a trade down senario.

  36. Todd Says:

Trade MeJax to (anywhere) for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Trade #5 to NYG or J’ville. Pick the speed monster Metcalf to replace MeJax. Use the add’l pick to draft an Edge or OL. In a later round, draft RB Devine Ozigbo from Nebraska. He get effed by the combine non-invite. He’s a pass catching BEAST!

And if you can trade 13 for a 2nd, do it.

  37. Easy Says:

The only Steeler player I want to sign is Ramon Foster. Outside of that signing, let’s focus on drafting defense this year.

  38. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @TMaxCon

LOL. You wish. I don’t even need to dispute that statement.

  39. Bird Says:

    That’s filthy

    Sweat 4.4 speed. Crazy.

DT Quinnen Williams just ran 4.83 and is 300 or so lbs.
These guys know how to train better for combine then years past

  40. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Tampabaybucfan Says
“Arians seems intent on having a premier WR in addition to Evans & Godwin…”

Isn’t everything purely media driven and rumor -based right now?

Believe me, I have heard enough hearsay to not like Arians thus far, but it’s all media talk or season of lies talk, so I’m withholding judgement.

I’m hoping he is lightning for us.

  41. JimmyJack Says:

I’ll be fine with any move Bruce makes except for this one.

I fail to see how this gets us more wins. We have no rush attack we can’t stop the pass were bad against to run and our Special Teams is atrocious. Bringing in a second #1 WR doesn’t get the team better in any phase of the game that we to improve at.

  42. JimmyJack Says:

We have 1 legitimate LB on the roster. Spending most of our money on a second #1 WR has to be the dumbest idea you could think of. The only way it would remotely make any sense to me is if we are trading away Mike Evans.

  43. JP_09 Says:

What’s the thoughts on us taking Metcalf at 5, release/trade Jackson and Brate, let Humphries walk, release Anger and restructure McCoy. Use the money saved from them on the D during free agency and use our remaining picks on the trenches/D.

    Evans, Godwin, Howard, Metcalf….

  44. StoutGospel Says:

La Can’t for-ya speculates ALL the time. Never breaks anything real, never before a Schefter, Glazer or Florio. And Prisco is simply NOT in the loop, he’s now a media personality. Nothing more.

Oakland is definitely, and legitimately the front-runner for AB as Gruden and Gruden’s style LOVES guys like that, plus the $$ and ammo to get it done, plus the Vegas factor soon. Just a question of who will be throwing AB the rock.

Bell’s a more complicated discussion however. Although OAK could circumstantially pull off both. But I doo see Gruden pursuing AB hard core.

    Go Bucs!

  45. Bird Says:

    Devin white 4.42

    Dude. Get this kid

  46. JimmyJack Says:

JP I hate that plan. We have the worst defense in league history.

If your using free agency to do anymore then patch holes it will not work. Our defense needs to be rebuilt and not a chance we ignore one of the deepest defensive drafts in quite a while.

We need young playmakers to rebuild the Defense or it’ll be doomed for failure.

  47. Mike Evans Goat Says:

LMFAO at even THINKING about trading ME13.
Put down the pipe. He is probably one of 2 or 3 players on this team that is untouchable

  48. Mike Evans Goat Says:

Trade back a few spots if none of the big 3 fall. Take Devin White

  49. JimmyJack Says:

Stout Gruden may also deal away Carr & draft his QB at #4. Let’s also hope Kingsbury gets a total hard on for Murray then we get Q.

  50. Buccaneerscotty Says:

Take Devin White at 5 ! His stock is going up best 40 time

  51. GhostofSchiano Says:

6’3 303lbs quinnen Williams ran a 4.83 40 yard dash at the combine.

I’m sorry what’s this about Brown?

  52. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Bonzai

There is some hearsay…..but there is also the fact that Arians had a sit-down with Djax and has stated publicly that he’d like to keep him on the team.
And now this report about exploring Antonio Brown.

it sure seems to me that Arians wants a big-time receiving threat in addition to Evans & Godwin……

I think there are cheaper options available…..Djax is $10mil & AB is probably more…..

  53. JimmyJack Says:

I think we might want to be prepared to keep hearing about Djax for the next 8 months.

For one of we to choose to keep him certain media members are going to ride his ass the entire time up until the season.

For two it don’t sound like the Bucs wanna let him walk away Scott free. They want compensation. They might hold him on the roster and see if anybody gets desperate during TC season.

    Buckle up Buc fans.

  54. D-Rome Says:

If Backstabbin’ Jason Licht is even wasting time exploring this then this is exhibit #217 as to why he should have been fired last year.

  55. catcard202 Says:

Smoke screens & click bait everywhere in Indy.

However, today’s results so far…. Bosa being Bosa, Q.Williams showing out, White burning a 4.42 & Oliver displaying a 36″ vertical @ 287lbs = mad explosiveness….All signs point to one of the top 2 Edge prospects (J. Allen & M.Sweats) being on the board in play for the Bucs @ #5.

  56. Mike Evans Goat Says:

Sweat is a workout warrior. But does that translate to play on the field? Idk cuz I haven’t watched much of Mississippi state. But I do know he is an athletic freak

  57. MadMax Says:

“With the 5th pick, in the 2019 NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Devin White, Linebacker, LSU!”

    Yep, you’re gonna hear that!!!!

  58. MadMax Says:

“With the 39th pick, in the 2019 NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Garret Bradbury, Center, NC State”

We’ll plug him in at RG to start, then prepare to move on from Jensen at C because dollars and sense.

  59. Couch Fan Says:

I wouldnt understand this if it were true. We dont need another star at a position we are already deep at. Especially if we have to trade for him. That makes no sense.

  60. EA Says:

    Go Bolts !!

  61. Bucfan1988 Says:

Yup, assuming Q Williams isn’t there at 5, would love to see a trade-down to 8-9 or so…accumulate another 2nd, then hopefully either White is still there, or Oliver…I’ll take either of those 2 for starters…

  62. Irishmist Says:

I remember making an exploratory phone call to the head cheerleader once in high school. Doesn’t mean anything came of it.

  63. Kobe Faker Says:

“Teams drafting DK Metcalf aka David Boston and Montez Sweat is making a huge mistake

these 2 underwear chumps dont translate to the field

Take Devin White at #5 and Miles Sanders with the 2nd round pick

Kobe has the crunched numbers and Miles Sanders is the next Kareem Hunt”

    Kobe Faker

  64. TDTB Says:

Screw AB. Adam Humpries, DeSean Jackson, Kwon Alexander, Curry, Bond, etc are all going to be gone. Bucs are taking Devin White in first round. Just hope they can trade down and still pick him. Maybe they can work a deal to trade Brate to Lions and pick up 3rd round pick.

  65. JimmyJack Says:

Stew a trade down. We need impact with our pick. Allen or Q will be sitting there at 4. Grow a pair and trade up to get a true game-changing for this defense.

Forget crossing your fingers over 2nd rounders. Get the sure thing and watch this defense play on a new level!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  66. Ndog Says:

Sometimes I hate the NFL. A show is on now about the 100th season commercial and there is not one Buc in it. Not Sapp, Brooks, Rice, Lynch, Barber, heck even Steve Young! They have players like Baker Mayfield, Jalen Ramsey and Juju Shuster-Smith who have done nothing in the grand scheme of things. Frankly it’s disrespectful to not involve anyone from one of the greatest defenses ever.

  67. Jmarkbuc Says:

Pittsburgh is an historically strong minded, well run organization. They have had their troubles as of late, but a large part of that is sticking to their philosophy of not overpaying, no matter who you are. Which in the long run will prove to be the right move.

How would AB act in this organization? If the Steelers couldn’t reign him in, there’s no way the Bucs will. He would be Desean and Keyshawn rolled into one X 10.

    No Thank You very much.

  68. From76 Says:

If gruden is shopping Carr get him. Our offense would be unstoppable!

  69. Pistol Pete Says:

OK…probably not going to be popular..but we unload Jackson and secure the #1 WR in the league….dude is a head case, who cares….Arians is a man, Koetter had no balls. Guys like this wont be controlled but can be managed…I would not pass on the opportunity to add a game changing WR. We overpaid for Keyshawn, he made the difference i our only championship season.
    Pistol

  70. Marques Says:

Don’t waste your time. If you want a wide receiver to replace Jackson draft Marquise Brown!!!!

II would not hesitate whatsover if he was available in the 3rd or 4th round to draft him.

    He is a special talent.

  71. Lordcornelius Says:

Really want to see what Oliver runs. If he runs a 4.6-4.7 he cements himself in my top 4

Sweat intrigues because he had SEC production on top of the athleticism and would be a good 3-4 OLB

    As of now imo :

    1. N Bosa
    2. Q Williams
    3. J Allen
    4. E Oliver
    5. D White
    6. M Sweat

I’ll be happy with any of those. Ideally one of the top 3 falls or we trade back n land one

  72. lambchop Says:

The Bucs are NOT going to get AB. For one, what message does it send Mike Evans? AB is not a burner, they have similar skill sets. And when is Godwin gonna get his due? We have Bobo and Watson too. Both look real good. I see them going with a John Brown type more than anything. So, we’re strapped for cash and we’re going to release a 10M DJax for a 13M AB and actually be slower at WR? Makes no sense.

We got bigger fish to fry than locking that much money in the WR position. And BA likes to throw deep, why not get John Brown instead, if he’s available? Cheaper and stretches the field – and can probably high point a JW pass.

  73. Bird Says:

    Lord Cornelius.
    Don’t disagree with lineup there.

I really like devin white fit here ;especially if bucs going to 3/4 and Kwon has acl injury recovery and Beckwith maybe never returns. but Oliver numbers are so similar to Aaron Donald. Donald had 36 bench reps to Oliver 32 reps . However Oliver vertical was 36 to Donald 32 . 40 time will be interesting at pro day.

The only concern I have with Oliver was his sacks were way down compared to anybody. Check out sacks . And Oliver played at Houston where competition is not at highest level.

Plus he sat out most of year

Anyone watch a lot of Houston football? Or went to school there ?
    Is Oliver the real deal?

  74. MadMax Says:

HEY JOES, COMBINE THREAD? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE…CHERRY ON TOP 🙂

  75. Bird Says:

So let’s see, you expect Joe to write all kinds of things when you want them, while at the same time spending hours talking to players, personnel executives, coaches, national media and more about the Bucs… only to have you ramble about how Joe doesn’t have a clue. Got it. –Joe

  76. Justafan Says:

Lambchop…AB caught 100 passes and 14 TDs, vs Jackson’s 41 passes caught and 4 TDs, if the difference is only 2 million for 60 more points, it’s a no brainer in my opinion.

  77. catcard202 Says:

After this weekend…We will see some shuffling of big boards.
Once combine is over, you’ll have better body comp #’s to work with. (on top of tape)

Sweat will jump into top5 discussion. (Body-type comp = Jadeveon Clowney / Julius Peppers)

J.Allen may slide due to Hand Size (comp = Bud Dupree w/ small hands)

  78. Tampabaybucfan Says:

White and Oliver should both be there at 5……that coupled with a reasonable opportunity to trade down a few slots means that we should be in really good shape with our first selection.

Now….let’s not screw up FA……let Djax go…..restructure GMC…..let Hump test FA….and…..sorry Kwon….we let you have to test FA also. Sign Peyton Barber….
We need one good FA DB….either S or CB. and one Olineman in FA…

So that means we need the Djax $10 mil.

  79. StoutGospel Says:

    @Joe…

Actually…these massive lulls in producing content, for the “site” ypu chose to have, are objectively, a fault. A chosen, fault. As I have often said, or implied, you don’t run a GROWING business, ona shoestring budget. You choose, killer. But you (already have). Does Florio, get boxed into a corner, with lulls, BEFORE being bought, by NBC. Nope. And Nope.

Get better. Better yet, WANT BIGGER. Spend bigger, and smarter.

    Go Bucs!

  80. JimmyJack Says:

TampaBayBucFan……..You got a really good plan there. But until those 1st 4 picks get announced let’s set them draft goals a little higher. Cardinal or Raiders could decide to take a QB. The Jets desperately need OL players and could trade out. 49ers are rebuilding and could trade out for extra picks. Q Allen or Bosa are legit possibilities.

I’m starting to think one of them is sure to be there at 4 and I’m starting to think trade up sounds good.

  81. JimmyJack Says:

Cardnials and Raiders are also rebuilding and could trade out for extra draft choices.

  82. Bird Says:

    Dude. Wow

You want some wine with that cheese

  83. Bird Says:

    Just about qbs Joes

  84. Bird Says:

    Plus someone just
    Posted the same thing.

    Yet no blockage there.
    Gimme a break.

  85. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @jimmy jack

What I am saying is that we should have (at least) those choices of White & Oliver or a possible trade down…..obviously if things change in front of us making one of the big three available to us at 5….then we should probably make a move and avoid the trade down.
As far as trading up…..my guess is that the team most willing to trade down would be the Raiders….so we would have to trade up to 3 to get one of the top 3 Dline players…..probably too expensive and the Jets would probably want that player at 3 anyway…..but who knows….obviously anything can happen.

I am convinced that we are in very good shape at 5…..

  86. Bird Says:

    Rashad Gary

Another guy up there that some mocks had raiders taking at 4
    4.58 forty time

    And 38 inch vertical

    Geez.
These are big athletic dudes. They are getting stronger and faster every year.

  87. JimmyJack Says:

TampaBayBucFan .,……I agree the price might be too high to move up to 3. My plan is to trade up just one spot with the Raider for the #4 pick. Unless they trade away Carr and you think they are getting a QB then you gamble.

I get the feeling one of them top three will be there at #4. We will only need to move up one slot not 2.

  88. gp Says:

    Gruden doesn’t draft QB’s
    He likes his retreads
Could Fitz be wearing black and silver next year?

  89. catcard202 Says:

It’s not out of the question for the Bucs FO to grab Drew Lock (if he’s there) & shock the world.

You draft franchise QB’s, when you have the opportunity…& with JW3 on his 5th yr option & the FO is talking extension…Lock would give the FO a ton of wiggle room to negotiate.

  90. Tattoodonny Says:

    “JUST SAY NO TO AB”

  91. MadMax Says:

@catcard, thats always a possibilty…and i wouldnt be disappointed…Lock looked great, rather get him in the teens though if we did that. But the D needs major help!!!

  92. Kyle Says:

antonio brown…yes please! you would look great in our stupid uniforms..haha

  93. Kyle Says:

best wr in the game last 5 years!

  94. BucsFIRE Says:

    StoutGospel,

Why don’t you just go start StoutGospel Bucs Fan?
Seriously. Very annoying and self important posts.

  95. unbelievable Says:

    NO THANKS

    @JustAFan,

Mike Evans can get you what AB gives you minus the diva mentality. Without DJax, Mike will flourish opposite Godwin. Secondly, we need cap room to sign other players.

DJax was brought to stretch the field. We still need a guy like that who can catch, but he may already be on this team.

Makes no sense to lock up so much money at WR at the expense of other positions we need dire help at. RB for one.
