No Compensation “Obstacles”

January 5th, 2019

“Jason, there is a timetable here. You got that?”

Things intentionally are moving very fast on the Buccaneers coach-hiring front — also known as a timetable in some circles — and the Bucs will have no obstacle to inking a contract with two-time NFL Coach of the Year Bruce Arians.

That’s the fresh word from NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, who minutes ago noted the Bucs won’t have to pay any compensation to the Arizona Cardinals in order to sign Arians to become the 12th coach in Bucs history.

Very exciting times, Bucs fans. The Bucs have interviewed Arians already and are expected to interview Cowboys assistant Kris Richard tomorrow.

As Joe reported Friday afternoon, expect the Bucs to announce their new head coach no later than Tuesday.

Sounds like he will be the named announced…I really really don’t care …I just want to start seeing good football ….

  2. Knack2Babbyyyy Says:

All of the stars are beginning to align. We might be getting the stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ and dealin’ son of a gun, Bruce Arians!

  3. Not there yet Says:

I still say interviewing Kris Richard is smart even if Arians is the hire, you never know if things like this come around again with this coach in the future.

  4. Not there yet Says:

Arians was awesome everywhere he’s been but not of those coaching stops included Tampa. Hope they let him change the culture and any players he feel can be replaced and we have plenty of beta that need to be replaced

  5. JJV Says:

But Joe surely Jenna and Rick have better sources than you. They practically shot your announcement down yesterday. You called it before anyone. Good job!

  6. Rod Munch Says:

Oh awesome, I had heard the opposite. Fantastic news.

    Loving this…

But will believe it when I see him standing at the podium in Bucs gear.

  7. SteveK Says:

    Sign him up!

Joe- can you continue to post the truth, and I love that you even keep it real amongst fellow journalists (Dr Stroud). Thanks, I love that there is competition amongst Bucs journalists and it’s so cool that you guys can professionally rub each other and keep each other honest. In the end, the fan benefits, because of your superior content and hilarious, “call it like you see it” approach. #RealNews

  8. bucfan999 Says:

What would Rick Stroud say???? Boy does he look like a fool right now!!!!

  9. SteveK Says:

Give Joe (LD) credit. He called this shot months ago on the Ira Kaufman Podcast. Well done, sir.

  10. JJV Says:

    Jenna too.

  11. SteveK Says:

    Joe/Sage:

I loved your guys’ take on the Stroud vs Talib locker room conversation. I do love Sage’s candor regarding Stroud “not backing down”. I can respect the man for standing by is word ok the face of a potentiality violent altercation.

A report is circulating stating that the Bucs could have a new coach in place early next week, but a source just told me that there is “no timetable” for this hire. Keep in mind, the earliest they’d be able to even interview one of their candidates

  13. Bruce Arians is the QB Whisperer Says:

Required viewing for all Bucs fans – Bruce Arians / A Football Life. Thank me later.

Ps- you may be tempted to run through a wall immediately after watching.

  14. SOEbuc Says:

Is it known if they have anyone lined up to interview next week? I liked Kris Richard but I also most wanted was a good vet HC with playoff experience. If they’re not going with Arians, Eric Bienimy would be my second choice of any others they were planning on interviewing. I read about him yesterday and he was the exact kind of coach I wanted, but I will also say HELL YEAH! to Arians all day.

  15. VFL98 Says:

Really?? A 68 year old [ 69 in Oct] has been coach, who first of all NEVER made it to the Superbowl , has only won ONE playoff game out of 3, and his last two season were 7-8 and 8-8 and Tampa is looking at hiring this guy?? really???? And you call this a SPLASH hire Joe??? And you wonder why Tampa hasn’t won a playoff game since 02.. WOW!!! Maybe in 3 years if not before they will finally hire the right guy. I’m sure the NFC East teams are laughing at us now..

  16. StoutGospel Says:

    NOT GOOD.

Is he really 69 in October?!! Taking the easy, lazy way out.

Two words….for Brian, Joel, Ed, Darcie….JOHN Harbaugh.

    Massive disappointment, setting in.

  17. Deminion Says:

Finally got a REAL coach !! Who will command respect in the locker room

  18. JJV Says:

Arians is 66 will be 67 in October

  19. JJV Says:

He can join the other loser seniors Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick. We all know how their age has been such a handicap making their teams unsuccessful and preventing them from winning over the years. LOL

  20. Bucs Guy Says:

VFL98, nobody cares what the NFC East says. I care about the NFC South. How many playoff games and divisions have Biemi, Richard and Edwards won? Other than maybe John Harbaugh, he’s easily the best available.

  21. Knack2Babbyyyy Says:

    @VFL98

First off, Bruce Arians is 66 (won’t turn 67 until October). He’s been voted twice as the AP NFL Coach of the Year in 2012 (Interim HC w/ the Colts), and in 2014 with the Cardinals. Bruce has also won two Super Bowl rings, as an assistant coach with the Steelers (SB 40 and SB 43). This man is a QB whisperer and a culture changer. He’s most definitely is a “splash” hire and would be a perfect fit for this team.

  22. Jameis Wienstien Says:

Hiring a 66 y/o with major health issues isn’t the right move for an ailing franchise in peril. Guess this is the last chapter for Licht. Too bad we have no control over whether we have to watch ANOTHER train wreck ensue.

  23. SOEbuc Says:

Hire an HC quickly so we can start the discussion on new uniforms. Will be a new era in Tampa Bay of winning games and hopefully looking sharp.

  24. Pete I Says:

66 and has had poor health? In poor health?

Hopefully he can still do it.

Lovie was a retread who actually got a team to the SuperBowl.

Just feels a bit meh of a hire. And I have faith that even though this seems like an OK hire but fear the Glazers will somehow make this bomb.

  25. Jameis Wienstien Says:

    JJV

You left out the part where Pete Caroll and Bill Belichick were in their FIFTIES and FOURTIES, respectively. LOL.

  26. JJV Says:

    ?
Pete Carroll is 67 years old
Bill Belichick is 66 years old

  27. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

Arians is aging fast on JBF, I hear he just turned 86.

  28. SOEbuc Says:

These dumbos keep saying he has major health issues. The guy had cancer, not heart problems, and from what I hear has been cancer free for a while now. And Belicheat and Pete Carrolle are both older than he is.

  29. Jameis Wienstien Says:

    JJV

Caroll was HIRED in his FIFTIES, Belichick was HIRED in his FOURTIES. Coming into a franchise for the first time and establishing a new culture is going to be a lot harder and a lot more stressful than running an organization that you put together 10-20 years ago. Why is that so hard to understand?

  30. DB55 Says:

    Daughter: dad I’m watching that!

Me: not anymore! It’s the playoffs

    Daughter (7): what’s the playoffs?

Wife: Bhahaha you a Bucs fan so she has no idea what the playoffs are lmao

    Me: 😡😤☹️🤦🏽‍♂️

  31. Lord Cornelius Says:

Age isn’t really a concern. As others have mentioned Caroll/Belicheck are older or same age. Nick Saban is older.

Comes down to the specific health issues. Ideally he can delegate more knowing how those effect him. Per google when he retired he said it was mostly his wife and that his blood pressure would get up a bit during games. But doesn’t everyone’s lol?

If he’s itching to come back after only a year off I assume the wife has green lighted it. Some people can’t handle retiring

  32. JJV Says:

Arians is a prostate cancer survivor. Evidently, that is a major health concern. He has a limited time now especially his ancient age of 66 years. He better have good assistants ready to take his place soon.

  33. Bucs fan #7423 Says:

Bucs need to hire someone that can give Jamies Winston respectable quarterback intelligence

  34. SOEbuc Says:

Talk about health problems. I truly believe Andy Reid could drop over and die on the sideline at any time.

  35. JJV Says:

Jameis- fair enough. I respect your opinion and views. I just do not think with the right staff that he will have no problem coaching our team and being successful.

  36. VFL98 Says:

    Knack2Babbyyyy Says:
    January 5th, 2019 at 4:14 pm

Wrong on the age. Sorry 66! However, still old and he has NEVER won one as a head coach dude. Sorry Assistant coach doesn’t count. I mean LOVIE took the bears to the Superbowl something this guy never done. If you like the hire cool, I personally think it’s the wrong hire. I have history to back me up saying this is the worst hire that’s going to happen in the NFL this off season. IMO.

  37. futureman Says:

can’t believe people questioning this hire.

news flash guys coaches that are actively currently winning playoff games and super bowls are not available to hire. Arians would be as close to a sure thing as you could possibly hope for. and he actually has experience as head coach, and experience turning around bad franchises.

  38. JJV Says:

The 5-year survival rate for most men with local or regional prostate cancer is nearly 100%. Ninety-eight percent (98%) are alive after 10 years.
Perhaps there is hope for a longer outlook for Bruce Arians with the Bucs.

  39. SOEbuc Says:

    JJV

“Arians is a prostate cancer survivor. Evidently, that is a major health concern. He has a limited time now especially his ancient age of 66 years. He better have good assistants ready to take his place soon.”

I don’t think his family or himself would be up for him returning if they had any doubt he wasn’t healthy enough to do it. Belicheat and Carrolle certainly don’t look like they’re going anywhere any time soon. If his prostate starts acting up again and he left I wouldn’t hold anything against him or the Bucs for bringing him to TB.

  40. Whatinthebuchappend Says:

Some of you fans are really hard to friggin please I tell ya ! Look people , Bruce is known to be a QB wisperer & all love the guy even tho he take no chit from anyone..plus we all have vetted to anyone who would listen about the job coach k was doing..with his poor clock management to now knowing about the terrible job he did with accountability on this team as well as other things I could name off how he was not a good head coach..Bruce will put accountability & heart n desire to win back in this team ! If he is here 3 years or 6 it will do wonders for jameis and this whole entire organization…I have a feeling he will be here 5 years and it will include 3 trips to the post season..now what we do in the post season who knows ? But you can’t win anything if you don’t get there in the first place ! This is a well respected coach around the leauge that can and will get the most out of his players , will bring in a stand up coaching staff in the likes of which we have not seen here in over a decade & he will most certainly free us of the losing culture boys..all of them ! I am not one of thoes fans that think lvd is one so he should stay.i know alot of you think lvd is but trust me , he is not apart of our problems..if let’s say Todd becomes Bruce’s d.cordinator he will turn lvd into an all pro..I’m now not worried at all about the offence with Bruce coming in , he knows how to get the most out of jameis and putting jameis into perfect situational football , he knows what to do for our wr’s & tight ends…I’m sure Bruce can have Jayson get the perfect back through either free agency or the draft that he needs to take the pressure off of jameis & he knows how to build a line to open holes for his back…I’m now wondering with gmc & Grimes and others about to be canned , I’m wondering if we can make a play for Patrick Peterson to replace Grimes biotttch azz..if we can only pair a really good corner & vh3 I know will be better with Bruce because I’m sure he will use him somewhat like the honey bagger minus the big hits ! Carolton Davis will be in his second year & Bruce will coach him up really well to use his length and cover ability..the line backers will improve and im sure with Bruce in Jayson’s ear about the players he wants come draft day our white board during draft time will look alot better than in recent years ! Everyone needs to start getting excited for this hire because in a few years we will look back at this moment and say finally after a decade of bad decisions and just flat out bad coaching and football we made right decisions and Bruce was a big part of the Tampa turnaround ! Please all of you , start supporting our team as soon as you feel we are heading in the right direction which shouldn’t take very long ! The more we support them the better things will start to get..we have got to have them feel our energy and enthusiasm because once they feel we have their back , it will only make them coach and play harder because they too will feel things our turning into our favor and they will feel they are doing it right & that makes someone want to continue their effort ! Do you guys get what I’m saying ? Look what happened when they feel the opposite , remember what Dirk was doing , he sounded and looked like a dead man walking and should have because he knew we didn’t have his or his coaches back anymore because of poop coaching and play ! When Bruce shows you how it’s done , please make sure they all know how appreciative we are..it’s alot harder for me to do so theese days as I now live in Canton Ohio but every chance I get during road games I can attend such as Cincinnati or Pitt or Detroit they will feel my passion…GO BUCS !!!

  41. stpetebucsfan Says:

    JJV

You need to do some more research on prostate cancer since if you’re an average male and you’re lucky enough to live long enough you will deal with prostate issues.

It is said that many old dudes die with prostate cancer but not from the cancer. It’s just in their bodies but not the actual cause.

A more realistic health worry is his heart! His BP…if he can’t control that with today’s modern drugs he DOES have a problem. I think the Bucs have done all the due diligence on this.

And besides we have tickdr here…be great if a JBF Cardiologist ended up treating the Buc’s head coach. Then we’d really get some inside info eh?

  42. JJV Says:

Yes SOE, I understand. If you followed the thread you would see I was trying to make a point. Sorry for it coming across like I have issue with the hire. IMHO, I think Arians will be outstanding for the Bucs.

  43. Rojas Says:

All we need now is to change those uniforms and we’re set.

  44. Jameis Wienstien Says:

    JJV-

That’s fair. Let’s hope he gets the right coaches in place than. Whoever the HC ends up being, I’lol abciously be rooting for them. I just think we’d be better off with a guy like Bienemy or Harbaugh. But hey, I’m just a fan.

  45. JJV Says:

Exactly Jameis thanks. We just want our team the Bucs to be winners and something we can be proud of again. Too many years have gone by. Now it will be our time. Go Bucs!

  46. BigMacAttack Says:

Hire Kris Richard as head coach and Arians as Chief of Operations to run the organization. I could totally get on board with that. We need a young coach with a future.

  47. Darin Says:

Who cares how old he is. What a bunch of complainers. I care about his health is all. He took a year off. And you bet he got his health in check. No way that wasnt the first topic of conversation. And if he onky coaches here a year and gets them to the dance whos gona complain? Not me. Its a one year at a time league anyway. One game at that. The guy is a great proven nfl coach. Just what this team needs. There will be no grimes or djax’s in the team if he’s here. Bet on that. He knows how to build a team. #Arian Buc-erhood boys!! Go Bucs. Hope he is the guy.

  48. ManzielMadness Says:

Awesome. Now please brin Freddie Kitchens with you.

  49. ManzielMadness Says:

    DC: Todd Bowles
O: Freddie Kitchens (Also possible he brings in byron leftwich)
    OL: Harold Goodwin
    DC: Todd bowles
    DL: Brentson Buckner
    DB: Mike Chiurcho

All I got so far lol^

  50. rrsrq Says:

Go get BA. Bring in Todd Bowles. Draft Greedy Williams. Let JPP, Vea, Nassib, Spence and LVD hunt

  51. BigMacAttack Says:

I could also see if the hired Arians as HC and can convince Kris Richard to become the DC with a plan to move up to HC in 2 yrs when the team is back on track so Arians can retire again.

  52. BucEmUp Says:

My hopes are rising, I just hope this doesn’t end up falling through and the bucs hire some “hidden gem” that wins 4 games.

Please dear sweet baby jesus, please just let this happen. We have been waiting long enough for a winning team. Please don’t make us wait any longer please!

  53. JimmyJack Says:

The goal is to give this franchise a winning direction. We have been a last place team for an entire two decades now.

I can give a crap less how long Our HC plans on coaching. So long as he can fix My good awful, patehic franchise he will be a freaking savior!!!

  54. BigMacAttack Says:

Jason Licht needs to find some better scouts too. Some are doing great evaluations and others are obviously giving him bad information. He can’t afford to keep tossing high picks in the trash.

  55. OneBuc55 Says:

    Guys, relax…

I’m pretty sure Arians won’t have any problem putting together an amazing coaching staff…I’d imagine that whoever is appointed assistant HC will most likely take over when he retires again…

Assuming Arians is in fact the guy, my hoppe is he can at worst coach long enough to turn things around, change the culture, and ultimately leave things better than he found them (which shouldn’t be very hard)..

At best lead us to a Superbowl victory and ride if into the sunset…

  56. TexBuc Says:

    BigMac
Licht’s best scout/advisor was Jon Robinson and since he left to become the Titan’s GM our drafts have not been very good.

  58. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Starting to look like Christmas in January. However, I won’t believe it until I see BA at the presser. We’ve been “jilted at the altar” too many times!

  59. SOEbuc Says:

John Harbaugh is not going anywhere to inform everyone that keeps saying it, and he’s certainly not coming to the Bucs. At least this year.

Arians is the QB whisperer and a great offensive minded HC. This hire would be about Jameis. He’s 24 and hasn’t had a good coaching squad since we drafted him when he was 20. Not a doubt in my mind that we are making at least one splash move on the offensive line. We need a defense also if JW gonna be eating W’s, or he might be able to go start with another team with a defense and turn out to be a playoff contender every year.

  60. INSPIRED Says:

Guys, I haven’t commented in some time but I do read every day and one thing that is clear is that there seems to be some new voices in the crowd that are doing their VERY BEST to bum us out about Arians. Brand new names from absolutely outer space! What Gives? Some kind of bad PR outfit put out there to turn us off from a SUPER STAR? “Because he is”

Let me just say if the hire is Bruce Arians, WELCOME TO TAMPA BAY!

Man have we been waiting for you to show up! Well Done!

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BUCS!!!!!!!!!!!

Bucs need to hire someone that can give Jamies Winston respectable quarterback intelligence

Maybe we can get someone that can give you basic intelligence.

    But that job seems impossible.

  62. Dave Says:

And this is about the time when he backs out and takes a massive deal with the Browns.

  63. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

You have to be wrong SOE. Dr Kobe weighed in the other day and stated that he had heart issues and was coming back against all Doctors recommendations to stay retired. I am sure Kobe didn’t just make some sh!t up!

  64. TexBuc Says:

I know we have been jilted and left at the alter before, but this one feels and sounds different and very public. The big plus being personal relationships and Arians for years saying he would love to coach Winston.

  65. BigMacAttack Says:

TexBuc, so true. And what the heck is wrong with the Texans? I hope they do better in the second half.

  66. Elita Vita Says:

Steve, Lee and “the sage” are fast becoming the go to guys all things Bucs! Way to go guys! Love coming to this site daily!

  67. BigMacAttack Says:

I’m sure if Arians is the guy, that a Licht will follow his lead on players, draft and roster moves. This needs to happen for sure. Licht has made way too many mistakes. If he does hire Arians, I’ll stop hating on him too. But just like everyone else, I’m sick of losing every single year. Hype hype hype disappointment. Let’s hope those days are gone.

  68. Jonathan Lipnicki Says:

    Dave…I must admit…this can’t be ruled out!

  69. BucEmUp Says:

Mac…how do we know Licht wasnt instructed to work with the previous coaches anf take their insight on drat picks? Everyone bashes lichts picks whem nobody truly knows whos picks were whos?

I personally believe that this is lichts first year as gm with the training wheels taken off.

  70. SB Says:

Just bummed out that it is not John Harbaugh.

  71. Marvelous Mayem Says:

I like the possible BA hire. Maybe he can eventually retire into a president of operations for the Bucs. Love you Joe. Love your site. Great entertainment for years now. Go Bucs. What a soap opera to be a Bucs fan. It’s a Bucs life for sure.

  72. mark2001 Says:

    Please…let this happen.

  73. rrsrq Says:

We talking about Licht. I’m watching Marlon Mack (4th round pick) who was in our back yard not get drafted by the Bucs. I can not hope year two of ROJO is half as good. Mack is healthy and definitely has an offensive line.

  74. RODNEY J ALLEN Says:

    Db55 that had me lmmfao

  75. SB Says:

@rrsrq I hate to say it but Rojo looks like as bad a pick as Aguayo.
Imagine if we drafted Nick Chubb instead of Rojo.

  76. BigMacAttack Says:

BucEm, don’t know, but just listening to Dirk, it sounded to me like he didn’t want that part of the job, because ultimately it was Licht’s job and responsibility. With Lovie I would agree and think Lovie had his mitts in everything. I don’t think Dirk did that. I think Dirk wanted to coach the team and I don’t think Licht ever crossed into that area, except maybe when Mike Smith was sent packing.

  77. RODNEY J ALLEN Says:

Db55 I died laugh at that. Itd be something my wife (from new Orleans) would say, but I’ve converted her well sorta🤷‍♂️😂

  78. BigMacAttack Says:

Rrsrq, Mack is gashing them. It’s crazy just how bad Rojo was this season. I don’t think anyone could have predicted he would be that bad, based on his college tape. But that’s why GMs get the big bucks.

  79. JimmyJack Says:

This is going to be a lot of fun guys!! Tampa has been chasing a a big name Coach for over 30 years!!

Can’t wait to learn about this guy and see what changes he makes to make us a solid franchise.

I expect nothing less then a contending team to be assembled & maintained. I expect this event to be franchise changing.

We may actually be able to stand up and be proud as a fan base!!!! Rather then head-down ashamed and embarrassed walking out of Ray-Jay.

  80. BucEmUp Says:

Dirk, I would have thought that early in when it was the “candid dirj koetter”, butnhe clearly evolved into the prototyoical liar that many faiking gead coaches morph into which dissapointed.me greatly because I wanted Dirk to get promoted.

So far Vea looks to be a possible monster if he leans up a smidge and stays healthy. I like Lichts drafts. Yes he has had some misses but who doesnt? Even Noah spence the jury is still out. The guy is built for the olb roll and ill bet my left nut we switch to a 3-4 IF Arians is hired.

  81. JimmyJack Says:

No longer will the analysts laugh at Our team!! They will be forced to give us the respect that we earn!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  82. JJV Says:

Jimmy, I tried to provide a direct link to show what type of coach Bruce Arians is but my post twice did not work. Maybe you can see by typing in the address to see video. It is worth it.(https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FG5VlT9l4Sk )

  83. JimmyJack Says:

Licht will ultimaly get judged on next year’s performance. The second we start winning opinions will change very quickly.

NFL only cares about “what have you done for me lately?”

Nobody cares about prior success or failure.

  84. JJV Says:

Jimmy, I have been trying to.show what type of coach that Bruce Arians is but multiple link posts have not worked. You can go to youtube and search” Bruce Arians thanks for the memories”. It’s worth seeing .

  85. Knoxville Bucs Fan Says:

Rinse Barber will be happy as a pig in sh!t with this hire. Being that back in the day our soon to be Head Coach and the lovely Mrs. Arians used to babysit a set of twin boys for his very close friend. Might Ronde come down out of the booth and work for his former babysitter?

  86. Knoxville Bucs Fan Says:

Lol don’t know how Ronde became rinse. Auto correct, wtf Gobucs

  87. Old School Athlete Says:

I would fully support this hire.

  88. SOEbuc Says:

    Jimmy Jack

“No longer will the analysts laugh at Our team!! They will be forced to give us the respect that we earn!!”

And hopefully the Bucs won’t be so rigged on calls that Goodell tells the refs to make.

  89. Silent_Partner Says:

For the people who keep bringing up his age, they said the same thing here when he was coming to AZ. They weren’t saying it when he left. He would be a great hire for a change for the Bucs. Also, for the guy bringing up his playoff losses, he started Ryan Lindley in one of those playoff games because of injuries. Would you have expected a win? Even then, they were in that game well into the second half.

It was a wonder that he still got his teams to the playoffs after losing Carson Palmer early in his second year when he still went 11-5 and the first year when they just missed the playoffs and they finished 10-6. And the last two years here was a wonder he got them to .500 as you saw the true reveal of their talent level this year, which was why he smartly bailed after last year knowing Keim was going to keep picking terrible players.

From watching him locally here in AZ, he’ll make you as a fan want to run through a wall for him, let alone his players, unlike the last guy who sounded clueless every time he opened his mouth.

The Winston haters having a meltdown because Arians is known to be a Jameis backer. LOL! You Winston haters should prove how sincere you are with your hatred by dipping your head in a boiling pot of water – make sure to post it to Twitter.

    God bless.

  92. SOEbuc Says:

BA longtime offseason home in Georgia isn’t far, which also knows about the humidity of the south east. Couldn’t be more mutual. This better go down.

  93. StoutGospel Says:

    @SB…

Right there with ya. WTF on not just pursuing what’s best for the Bucs, both near term and long term!?!! Don’t puss out.

Just JOHN Harbaugh. We’ll be doing this circle jerk farce again in 3 years time. Without John.

  94. Buc believer Says:

@Weinstein… sure Jameis should be a true character guy like Ben rap…err Roethlisberger

  95. JimmyJack Says:

Winston haters can take a back seat. Y’all can sit down while I’m cheering for Our QB scoring TDs!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  96. JimmyJack Says:

Most of the people that hate Winston aren’t even Buccaneer fans.

    Don’t let em fool ya.

  97. BucLover727 Says:

    Hc: B. Arians
    Dc: K. Richards?

  98. Jameis Wienstien Says:

    BUCBELIEVER

When did I say anything about Big Ben? Lmao some of you guys are fools, you will believe anything anybody wearing pewter and red say and will turn cheek when they do something downright awful. “Why doesn’t he ever call Big Ben out” you might be wondering. It’s pretty simple and I never thought I would have to explain it to an adult, but here goes: he doesn’t wear a Bucs uniform and we talk Bucs football on this website and we are discussing the future of THIS franchise. Big Ben is a POS, a bigger one than Jameis, but for any discussion about the immediate descions the Bucs will be making in the coming weeks he is IRRELEVANT.

  99. Jameis Wienstien Says:

    JIMMYJACK

WRONG AGAIN. 10 year season ticket holder here. Just so happens I give a crap about the team and know our current starting QB is neither a leader nor a winner. Sorry for caring that we are going to waste the next three to ten years on his blumbering BS.

  100. JimmyJack Says:

Like I said. You may sit on your hands while I am on my my feet cheering My team proudly!!!!

Hope you have fun. I know I will.

  101. ben Says:

Winston is rated 20th best qb after 4 years !!!! He was the 1st pick in the entire draft so keep making excuses for the loser.. As a season tkt holder i can enjoy the team but a leader or a good qb,Winston is not.

  102. T REX Says:

Arians was 15-16-1 his last two years in Zona. Very glazer like. Hiring anyone for that loser Winston is short sighted. This will end badly.

  103. D1 Says:

    Jameis,

Add 8 or 9 more incidents at FSU, another girl at FSU, problems in high school.

But here’s the thing, this is when you choose to look forward or backwards. Winston is horrible if you look back ..select the worst things and declare the future is fixed for winston.

He’s the bucs qb until he’s not..

  104. Rod Munch Says:

Wienstien – Do me a favor and drink some spoiled egg nog, then drive into a tree. LOL! Anywho cupcake, watching you idiots having a meltdown is great entertainment. Now back to the interstate rest stop bathrooms before they realize your mouth is missing and you lose yet another job.

  105. T REX Says:

Joe, can we stop Rod’s violent posts please? It’s old

  106. Rod Munch Says:

T- I ask someone to do me a favor and say God Bless and you’re upset? LOL! You Winston haters call people who like Winston rapists apologizes, sexual predators, constantly and openly wish for bad things to happen, then fake being offended and whine and try to have people silenced. It’s sad, just sad. 🙁

    I’ll pray for you.

  107. 1sparkybuc Says:

No off the field incidents in last three years for Jameis. No decent ground attack since his rookie season. No solid OL since he left FSU. No criminal charges filled ever. Accusations never proven. Prejudiced people don’t need proof. I will root for Jameis and whoever is hired to coach him, just like I have for every single one before them. For all of the issues this franchise has endured, this is still the most prolific offense in franchise history. Jameis is the key, and needs better protection, a better ground attack, and better coaching. A decent defense wouldn’t hurt. Neither would a more supportive fan base.

  108. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

What are you guys talking about. Dr Kobe stated that he has heart issues and was coming back against his doctor’s recommendation not to. I don’t know who is right, you guys or Kobe Faker, aka Doctor Faker, aka the one who talks out of his A$$ in regards to things he knows nothing about.

  109. stpetebucsfan Says:

Can somebody explain something to me?

I’ve been all over the board with JW. LOL After much debate I grew to be a big supporter of selecting JW #1.

Then as his erratic behavior on and off the field took it’s toll I questioned my original decision.

Now I’m not back on the bandwagon but I haven’t lost hope and of course he needs to be back next year.

Point is I support JW but am not blinded. And so when I read all the negative comments I think some are over the top but mostly I just disagree with their opinions. Disagreeing with their opinions does not make me view them as a hater and finding flaws in JW’s game does not make them evil.
