I believe Koetter was gone after last season based on his loyalty to Mike Smith. 99% of teams would have fired thier defensive coordinator after those two years, but Koetter keeps him, it was Koetters doing in. The Bears game is when we all knew. A below average DC filled in for Smith in Duffner and got 10x more out of the defense, imagine if we made a hire of a good defensive coordinator b4 this season. We could be a 10 when team. Koetter lost his job with the Bears game, than how he treated Winston after the Bengals game. This is not college, and that’s how he coached it. He was done in October. Bucs already have 3 guys they want. Either Harbaugh brother, or Arians. They will cut the checks. The Bienemy and Howard interviews get you your Rooney rule. Once they interview one of them we will have a announcement of a trade for John, paying big money for Jim or money for Arians.

Call me stupid. But would Derrick Brooks be a great head coach? In my opinion yes. He could get this locker room together, instill a winning mentality, and change this defense. But I think no way Derrick would take a hc job. But when you think of traits of a hc you want, Derrick Brooks has every intangible.
