Lavonte David Nears Record

Here is something Joe wasn’t aware of.
Now Joe has been aware that Lavonte David is a ballhawk, as you would expect a damn good linebacker to be. And remember how he forced a fumble on Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield when the rookie was on his way to a first down and maybe a touchdown?
That was a game-saving play.
Well, David, aside from being a tackling machine, is damn good at fumble recoveries. Currently, David has 12 fumble recoveries. If he gets one more he will be tied with Ronde Barber for most fumble recoveries in Bucs history.
And just so you know, David has 18 forced fumbles in his career. Only two guys have more forced fumbles for the Bucs. One guy is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The other should be. That’s Derrick Brooks (24) and Simeon Rice (19).
That’s pretty good.

Joe,,,Coach Winston Moss who was fired from Green Bay used to play for the bucs long time ago….. Maybe he should be invited back to coach?

Easily must underrated LB in the NFL. Should be in the Luke Kuechly-Bobby Wagner conversation but never is… really unfortunate.

LVD gets lost with the honors because of his team….put him on a winner and he would be in the Pro Bowl every year.

Now THAT’S a record worth a darn on this team. Defensive records are meaningful. Offensive records, not so much.

Joe if you pop by Bucsnation.com once in a while they usually bring up a running list of franchise records before each game. Lavonte is also tied with Ronde for the most safeties in Bucs history with 1.
