Ian Rapoport Admits This Morning That He Knows Nothing About Team Glazer’s Pending Head Coach Decision
December 24th, 2018The headline says it all here.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, who yesterday reported on national television that Bucs owners “have not ruled out keeping Koetter and basically their entire upper structure,” did his best impression of a 21st-century presidential candidate this morning on WDAE-AM 620.
Rapoport was asked about his Sunday claim and not only backed off it, he sort of explained that he was full of baloney.
“I have not yet spoken to anyone who actually knows what [the Glazers] are doing,” Rapoport said today.
Welcome to the modern media.
Joe hopes Team Glazer feels good about helping pay Rapoport’s salary.

We all know the beta male glazers r gonna make a beta male decision
It’s what they do
And why we lose
December 24th, 2018 at 10:37 am
Prisoner #7423
Are you saying they are Beta Bucs/Buck$?! I’m not sure you’re wrong.
December 24th, 2018 at 10:38 am
#Firapport This dude has no business being employed as NFL insider
December 24th, 2018 at 10:40 am
Comedy. Let’s make things up for Sunday.
December 24th, 2018 at 10:43 am
Again Glazers will hire B Arians , he will bring in 2 good assistants at OC and DC stabilize this organization then retire. Then one of those good assistants he bring in will take over. The Bucs are back to winning
December 24th, 2018 at 10:43 am
Yea that’s media for you, just say anything because they’ll believe you but at least he didn’t double down on it like he did about the report about Winston and Koetter not getting along.
December 24th, 2018 at 10:45 am
Sooner or later everybody has to understand Rapaport is a clown….Whenever he comes with a gossip I just start laughing…..This guy is pretty obvious, he is more a comedian than an insider…….Big time joke!!!!!!!!!!
December 24th, 2018 at 10:46 am
Rapoport is the Dirk Koetter of the NFL media. If it were not for some of the old hacks employed by BSPN, WDAE and the SP Times I would say that he would be the worst in his field. Definitely below average!
December 24th, 2018 at 10:50 am
I wannasay merry Christmas to all of u bucs fans I already said what I had to say about rappafart
December 24th, 2018 at 10:54 am
@Stevbobucsfan
BA is my number one hire ahead of Kris Richard.
December 24th, 2018 at 10:55 am
LOL!!!!
I have no idea about anything.
Sincerely, Ian Rapoport.
LOL!!!!!
December 24th, 2018 at 10:56 am
Hard to believe ANYONE would keep this head coach. Coaches get paid to win. He has not done the job. end of story!!! Neither has the general manager. end of story!!!
December 24th, 2018 at 11:00 am
Rapport fits right in with half the Joe Bucs Fan posters with their great made up comments like “Jameis can’t hit guys in stride, he only hits stantionary targets”. Welcome Ian.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:01 am
Rapoport doesn’t know what the Glazers are going to do because the Glazers don’t know what they are going to do.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:06 am
Either do they….seriously …
in order of chopping block, not necessarily all but in order of vulnerability
Jamyth
Licht
Koetter
maybe Jamyth signs a bridge contract for 2- 3 years no where near $20,000,000.00/per year
with Jameis understand it will be his job to win and hold onto as the Bucs draft a QB early in April’s draft
December 24th, 2018 at 11:20 am
Another example of fake news.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:24 am
I really hope this is accurate. I just feel we need to give it one more year with these guys. This is not as bad as everyone is making out to be. We are in good position to get a RB in the draft instead of focusing on other positions that are not priority like DB or offensive line. I just don’t like the veteran contracts on the team but I understand why they are here which is to play hold until we can get younger through the draft. With that said I say let’s keep our coach go into the offseason and let’s watch these guys finish building this team. Hopefully Koetter doesn’t resign either. I can see us getting a RB early in the draft and stocking up at DE and DT in the draft and hiring a new offensive line coach as well. We should hire a VP in front of Licht too.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:25 am
Anyone thinking we can get Bruce arians should keep dreaming, he said he’s only go to Cleveland bc of the fans no way he wants to coach at the den of depression even if he does have a relationship with this terrible gm that also needs to go. Licht is a lazy slob fire him and promote Spytek, then throw loads of money at someone like Kelley or Meyer and let them have full roster control
December 24th, 2018 at 11:32 am
Rappafart (very nice Tampabucfan88 ) has as much credibility as when cancer93 speaks.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:36 am
You really can’t make this stuff up
December 24th, 2018 at 11:37 am
Ian Rapoport sounds like he’s qualified to be a reporter for FOX News or CNN.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:44 am
It’s pretty clear that you can’t make this stuff up
December 24th, 2018 at 11:45 am
Rappaport not only makes himself look bad, but other journalists/reporters as well. The “fake news” phenomenon has perpetuated itself by rushing to report the news first, or simply making it up, as opposed to fact-checking THEN reporting.
Believe it or not, there are still reporters out there who work diligently to accumulate the facts before writing the story. It’s sad that we have so little trust in journalism these days. Journalism has always been important in checks and balances on the system.
December 24th, 2018 at 11:47 am
I’m unfollowing him on Twitter. Enough is enough.
December 24th, 2018 at 12:09 pm
Your popcorn has been pissed on,
film at 11.
December 24th, 2018 at 12:28 pm
Bruce Arians is not interested in the Bucs job. He’s already made it clear he’s only interested in coaching for the Browns. Can we lay that rumor to rest please?
December 24th, 2018 at 12:33 pm
Forget Bruce Arians already. Kris Richard, too. Bucs will be lucky to get Raheem Morris back. Maybe even Greg Schiano.
This franchise is the laughing stock of the NFL.
December 24th, 2018 at 12:44 pm
The head coach is over his head and the GM has proven during his tenure that he’s clueless.
December 24th, 2018 at 12:50 pm
Yeah Arians doesn’t seem to have any interest in any other job but the Browns. With that said, I believe none of that. I’m not so sure that Arians would be interested in the Tampa job but don’t rule anything out. I don’t see Arians here. Sadly, I don’t think the Bucs job is enticing enough to lure Jim Harbaugh away from Michigan. He would be my number 1 choice. That brings us to Kris Richard who is my number 2. The conflict is Arians is the QB whisperer which we desperately hope could make Winston take the leap to franchise QB. Richard could fix this defense in a hurry and bring some toughness to the team. Considering I think Richard would be interested, I see that as a real possibility. I would be all good with it.
December 24th, 2018 at 12:51 pm
NFL “Insider” implies that you are getting credible information from reliable sources. I guess that includes fabricating stories from the imagination now. What a poser.
December 24th, 2018 at 12:59 pm
ndog – with your left hand extend your index finger and thumb only, insert in to your mouth and eat that big fat L instead. Your man love submissiveness to Jameis is disturbing.
December 24th, 2018 at 1:39 pm
Dam Jason another year of this crap /why put the fans threw it again or are you just saying it to get better seats and we are the laughing stock of the NFL
December 24th, 2018 at 1:46 pm
Pit of misery all I’m saying is keep the guy because the things that did go wrong this season weren’t his control like Winston suspension
December 24th, 2018 at 2:02 pm
we went 2/2 in that time this coach has no clue how to score in the red zone for 3 years now and I didn’t want a change either but enough is enough .
December 24th, 2018 at 2:10 pm
We should of won that game easily he cant get this team in the end zone when it counts and heis in love with Barber which I think is the worst back in the league he did the same with martin and its one bad move after another , and I also think he has coached JW out of the league .
December 24th, 2018 at 2:43 pm
Stevebo let’s hope you are dead on. Hell I’d be happy with Ravens DC Martindale or Vikings DC Edwards also.

December 24th, 2018 at 11:47 pm
Tmaxipad bro get off 93 nuts bro everyone one in the world knows how much you love 93 post something diff you say the same thing every time an be more accurate you say wen you play to 93 he sucks the life out of them but jpp an Nassib probe you wrong an look how vea is starting to turn the corner. Love seeing you proved wrong. Your the cancer tmax stop being a Bucs fan an we will start winning
December 25th, 2018 at 12:13 am
Tmax is garbage
How i have been proved wrong??? cancer93 had another meaningless season without a single meaningful win in his entire career…. once again thar heartless beotch was part of an embarrassing defense that gives up booty quicker than a south tampa gold digger. And oonce again the cryin clown is competing for a basement title….again i ask how was i wrong…. raise your standards young lady dont be another butt clown like cancer93
December 25th, 2018 at 11:58 am
T. You said that 93 makes players worse who play next to him. Jpp an Nassib have played decent. Vea is finally playing decent still a bad defense an my standards are fine I think we should trade his big ass salary so we can fill more holes but at the same time there’s not really a player we can replace him with yet.
December 26th, 2018 at 4:54 pm
Jason mclaurin,
It doesnt matter who or what type of running back we have or get.Its offensive line issues ,plain and simple….
