Humphries On Fire
December 7th, 2018One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
And that is the case with the Bucs. We all know (but we don’t know why) America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, cannot hookup with speedy wideout DeSean Jackson.
Jameis has no such issues with any other receiver. Shoot, Joe watched Jameis damn near get the Bucs into the playoffs two years ago throwing to the pride of the Vero Beach Ramada Inn red-velvet lounge, Freddie Martino.
Take Adam Humphries, for example. Per BSPN’s NFL Live, Humphries leads the NFL in touchdown catches since Week 9, which would be a total of five. In the last three games, Jameis has been throwing to Humphries and he’s caught three touchdown passes.
With a touchdown grab against New Orleans on Sunday, Humphries will tie the franchise record for consecutive games with a touchdown reception, currently held by eight Bucs receivers. The last player to accomplish this was Chris Godwin.
Humphries, a free agent after this season, sure picked the right time to have his best season for touchdowns, and likely yards receiving. He currently has 606 for the season, just behind his career best 631 last year.

Great guy comes into my restaurant quite often always with Brate and Ryan Griffin. Newest member they have been bringing along …Godwin!!! So happy for these guys

If the Bucs keep Dirk then resign Hump. If the Bucs bring in a new staff let him walk for the fact they won’t get the same production out of him and it will look like we over paid when his numbers go down.

“Dirk never develops guys” argument falling apart.
Move DJax, resign Hump. That’s easy.
The best argument is that Jameis doesn’t have an issue connecting with anyone else. It’s 100% true

Jameis “DeSean’s Trash” Winston

Dewey above is wrong. Keep Hump!! Having a good slot WR is always good regardless of the system employed.

Most of # to 11 passes are with 11 standing still
December 7th, 2018 at 8:56 am
Winston can’t throw long to receiver in stride ..Makes him a really good qb ,huh??
December 7th, 2018 at 9:00 am
Humphries is good when he’s matched up against a 3rd, 4th, or 5th string corner back
December 7th, 2018 at 9:10 am
@ben lower case b,
How do you suppose Winston has completed over 1000 passes in over 1700 attempts for over 13,000 yards? All button hooks?
December 7th, 2018 at 9:39 am
@Joes,
I see what you did there. Hump in HIS #11.
December 7th, 2018 at 9:50 am
You can see that Hump is always in tip top shape. He’s a work horse and I can’t remember the last time he was injured (knock on wood). Only a fool would let Hump go.

Ben is a 1972 American horror film about a young boy and his pet rat. Ben you’re a friggin rat! Lol 😝

Bucs should look at WR Hunter Renfrow/Clemson in 2019 draft. Renfrow is Humphries clone from same school.

Love when guys who go undrafted end up being great players….
December 7th, 2018 at 10:21 am
We need to lock Hump in for the long haul, he is a great slot. Let Jackson go please use that money somewhere else.
December 7th, 2018 at 10:29 am
Hump IS THE REAL DEAL
A TRUE WORKER
KEEP HIM
December 7th, 2018 at 10:52 am
Winston is one of the league leaders in yards per completion.
I guess he threw 81 screen passes for touchdowns in his career.
Laughable drivel.
December 7th, 2018 at 11:25 am
Adam Chris and Mike should all be the only three wide receivers on the field in 3 wide receiver sets from day one DeSean Jackson made this football team worse every time he was on the field and I’m disappointed that it took dirt cutter this long to realize that or perhaps she didn’t realize it it took the Shawn Jackson hurting his finger and quitting on the team for him to realize that this team has been poorly coached
December 7th, 2018 at 11:44 am
Jameis doesn’t need to go deep every play like Dirk and the Glazers want him to. Hump can run a five yard post and get us 30 YAC. What these dumba$$ should have been doing with D-Jax all year.

————————-
Does that exclude Brate and Barber because they CAN catch passes? What about Marpet? People have their problems with Donovan Smith, but he is the guy that has played every snap since becoming a Buccaneer and hasn’t embarrassed himself 98.5% of the time… if only we had kickers with that kind of success rate.
You can’t give an offensive coach credit for developing defensive players so the player he developed on offense can only be broken down into three categories, players that throw the football (Winston, Griffin), players that catch or run the football (Brate, Humphries, Barber, Godwin, Howard, and Evans to an extent), and players that block (Marpet, Smith, and Wester). He’s developed plenty of players. I’m no Dirk Koetter fan, but you can’t say that players haven’t developed under his watch.

marpet isnt having his best year this year and i can make a case that he’s regressed…..d.smith is slightly better than what he was as a rookie….brate is a pass catcher so he doesnt count…..barber, i guess but he was an UDFA so any coaching and practicing he received was going to make him better….
dirk isnt just an “offensive coach” he’s the HC…..as the HC, he’s responsible for developing players on both sides of the ball…..
pete carroll is a defensive guy but has develop russell wilson pretty nicely…..
bill obrien is an offensive guy but clowney has developed nicely under his watch….
sean payton is offensive guy but cam jordan has developed nicely under his watch…..
bottom line is, more players have regressed than developed under dirk….players like marpet, winston, benenoch have all regressed…..LVD, kwon, VHG, ryan smith, justin evans have all regressed as well…..

My God. Its a no brainer. Sign the kid. He’s the heart & soul of the offense. I don’t care who the HC is.
