Joe thinks it is fair to type DeSean Jackson’s obituary in Tampa Bay.
The malcontent wide receiver who has done a helluva lot more to tear apart the Bucs than he ever has to help the team on the field likely played his final Bucs game last week in Dallas.
Jackson, inactive today with an injured Achilles and thumb, now enters the third year of his three-year contract with the Bucs. Jackson can be released or moved to another team without any financial penalty.
As was reported just before Christmas, Jackson had become a massive cancer inside the Bucs locker room (last year) and did his damnest to destroy the career of Bucs franchise signal-caller, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.
That’s not counting scraps with coaches and a general lazy-arse attitude in team meetings, etc.
Joe just cannot imagine the Bucs bringing this guy back next year, no matter who is the coach or general manager.

No one is trading for DJax, this isn’t Madden. GMs in the league are well aware of the cancerous behavior of DJax, and while I’m sure he’ll land on a team, everyone knows the Bucs aren’t bringing him back in 2019, and good riddance.

Damn shame that Jay Miss and this guy could never get on the same page. Every team needs one speedster. That may be a bit of an issue with Evans and Godwin, because they are almost the same guy. Who is gonna stretch the field? Bobo?

JayMiss didn’t need too much help to damage an already questionable career. When you lead the league in turnovers since 2015, it wouldn’t take much. Add in the off field extracaricular activity and you’ve got a disaster.

Props to Mike Greenberg for negotiating some great contracts. He’s been the main reason why we’ve been able to release a lot of Licht’s bad free-agent acquisitions, just after two years with no cap penalties.

When he targets any of his other targets the catch percentage goes way up, not to mention interception percentage goes down because the other receivers actually try and break it up if they can’t get it.

This is an example of poor coaching. DJAX simply doesn’t compliment James’s skill set and since the QB is a hell of a lot more important than a speedy wide out DJAX needs to go. I don’t blame Jameis for this problem, he should not have to re-tool his delivery to accommodate a short world class speedster. We have plenty of WR’s that have no problem with Winstons skill set.
