Here’s a thought…if John Harbaugh is wanting out of his current job, he could be refusing to get a deal done. So maybe he knows something about his brother?
Scenario 1:
The Glazers keep Koetter and the offensive staff, but fire the defensive staff. Duffner has done very little and if the Glazers do not make a splash head coach hire, they will want to make a splash defensive coordinator hire…Marvin Lewis? Rod Marinelli if he is fired (Jerry Jones might want to promote Kris Richard to get him to stay)?
Scenario 2:
Glazers fire Koetter and hire Jim Harbaugh. They let him decide on the rest of the offensive and defensive staff. They keep Licht, but order him to give Harbaugh what he wants.
Scenario 3:
Glazers fire Koetter, hire Mike McCarthy as Head coach, but keep Todd Monken as Offensive Coordinator, along with all the offensive staff except Warhop. McCarthy rebuilds the defensive staff.
Scenario 4:
Glazers fire Koetter and hire Brian Flores, who is a defensive specialist, but has also some experience as an offensive assistant. Keep Monken and most offensive staff, but replace the defensive staff. Fires Duffner.
Notice in no scenario to I suggest we keep Duffner. All things considered…he has not done enough to keep the job.

I feel it is almost a certainty we’ll lose this game…but that probably means we’ll win it. I prefer a win. I do not really care about draft position. You pick from who is available where you pick…and usually it is a good pick.
Fans will always want the guy they want, and will always spend a year or more whining that they didn’t get him if the Bucs do not draft that player. The perfect example is the last draft. We got a good first pick, but all people do is whine about the one we did not get.

To be honest, I’m kind of viewing this as a scenario similar to when Gruden came. Back then, we kept the defense in place and he worked on fixing the offense.
This is almost the same, but reversed.

Nobody great coming out in this draft QB wise anyway, unless possibly the OSU kid. However, 2020 will have many good QBs and Lawrence will be out in 2021.
