Cowboys Upset Bad For Bucs
November 30th, 2018Yes, there is still a glimmer of hope that the Bucs just might somehow sneak into a wild card race.
Hey, a guy can dream since the holidays are here, can’t he? Besides, the Bucs are not yet mathematically out of it (but there really is no room for error). The stat geeky-site FiveThirtyEight.com gives the Bucs a less than one percent shot at a playoff berth.
Last night the Cowboys shocked the NFL world by holding the previously unstoppable Saints offense to 10 points in beating winning 13-10.
The Saints had only lost one game this season prior to shatting the carpet of AT&T Stadium in Arlington, when the Bucs beat them to open the season in New Orleans. But now, the Saints won’t play until a week from Sunday when they travel to Tampa to face the Bucs in an NFC South showdown.
Giving a p!ssed off Sean Payton and Drew Brees 10 days to prepare for the Bucs? That doesn’t give Joe any confidence.
Fun game to watch last night. But it might be very bad news for a Saints team likely to have a renewed focus.

don’t worry joe – we’re gonna bop them right back to new orleans
November 30th, 2018 at 12:28 am
Just let it go, Joe. I don’t want to see my team make it to the playoffs, just to get massacred by a real professional NFL team. It’s time to start planning for next season, new hires and making a pledge as an organization to be better than we have for a very long time. If anybody believes that we can make it to the playoffs and contend, you’re probably delusional and want Dick Koetter back too.
November 30th, 2018 at 12:31 am
I’m baffled that the Bucs statistically still have the #1 offense in the NFL even over the super offenses of Saints, Rams, Chiefs. Say what you want about the Bucs offense, Yes we throw too many ints and suck in the red zone, but we still have a respectable passing game. It’s the defense………
November 30th, 2018 at 12:34 am
What does it hurt. Oh the saints come in with something to win. Wow how many times was there a write up on this site that NO had something to win last year week 17. Bomb touchdown and wow we just showed how good we could play and spoil a home field play of advantage. Then we beat them week 1, only team until now… Stop being afraid this team can’t win a game against a really good team. Last year they lost to New England by a scratch. They beat the defending champs this year. They should and could have beaten Pittsburg this year. Yeah. They lose some by wipe outs but they also can come out swinging against some of the best in the league. You preach for/against negativity the fans have, this just stokes the fire. Can’t wait for the next podcast tomorrow, or whatever day they come out on anymore (focusing on a coach or the draft).
November 30th, 2018 at 12:35 am
I wish we could trade the Bucs defense for the Bills defense straight up. Throw in Fitz and D jacks to help their offense and boom were a 9-7 team.
November 30th, 2018 at 1:26 am
I guess Jameis will have to outscore them
November 30th, 2018 at 2:39 am
If we cant pressure Brees we have no chance.

*****DERWIN JAMES UPDATE*****
For all you “We should have drafted Derwin James” homers…
ZERO SACKS in the past 7 games. After starting out hot with 3 sacks early on (and a half sack a couple weeks later) he hasn’t DONE JACK SQUAT.
Only has 2 INTs on the season, that’s 1 more than a hurt Justin Evans.
Justin Evans was also averaging MORE combined tackles/assists per game than Derwin James.
LOL. DERWIN WHO?

Hey Joe
Even before this game I thought the Bucs should look at Kris Richard next year to be their head coach. Kris was with Seattle, coached the legion of boom and now he is the secondary coach for the cowboys but he calls the plays for Dallas. He is young, mature (not like Raheem) and a proven defensive backs coach. The Bucs need a defensive coach with a speciality for developing corners and safeties. He reminds me of A younger Mike Tomlinson mixed with Pete Carroll.

Bucs Bandit/ AKA Vita Vea

Saints and cowboys have no bearing on bucs. Unlike the bucs they are respected NFL franchises with bright futures. Only thing in bucs future is more basement titles
November 30th, 2018 at 5:18 am
PLAYOFFS ARE YOU KIDDING ME LMAO
November 30th, 2018 at 5:42 am
Man, I hate the Cowboys! HATE!
November 30th, 2018 at 5:51 am
Joe,
This will be a perfect test to see if Jamies is our quarterback, it’s just what we wanted. We need to see him play playoff hungry teams to evaluate him. Panthers are hungry, saints are hungry, ravens are hungry, and cowboys are hungry. Gonna be a great couple of weeks! 🙂
November 30th, 2018 at 5:58 am
PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS!!!!???
November 30th, 2018 at 6:12 am
I knew people would take the bait. Come with the playoff talk. Yes they are not mathematically eliminated but last week game doesn’t change who they are. Go beat a team in the playoff hunt and start leapfrogging teams before taking this stupid bait of playoff talk, it’s like these guys love to get hopes up because they enjoy talking about how they were dashed by a loss. One everyone should already know is coming
November 30th, 2018 at 6:30 am
While watching this game I was thinking man next week is going to be tough, really tough.
November 30th, 2018 at 6:40 am
Ha Ha!! Yea, didn’t mean anything for the Bucs. We suck and probably wont win but 1 or 2 games at best Thanks to Dirk and our defense.
November 30th, 2018 at 7:19 am
yep and we got the cowboys too, no easy sundays in the nfl
November 30th, 2018 at 7:30 am
Cowboys showed the Bucs and the nfl you can’t play passive soft ass defense against the Aints. Until the Bucs d changes it’s soft ways it’ll be a joke
November 30th, 2018 at 7:31 am
The thought of making the playoffs scares the haters, because then Koetter would get a new contract. They would rather lose.
November 30th, 2018 at 7:41 am
Playoffs and the Bucs!!! LOL anyone remember Sesame Street where 2 words did not belong together?? Well there is a good example.
November 30th, 2018 at 8:19 am
The Bucs are not out of it because of a Cowboys game or a tiebreaker.
They are out of it because THEY SUCK!!!!
November 30th, 2018 at 8:29 am
That’s why I said defense is more important than a quarterback. Get us a defense and a running game and a coach and we will win. Jamies is good enough for us to win.
November 30th, 2018 at 8:43 am
KRIS RICHARD 4 HC!!!!!
#NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!…#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!
November 30th, 2018 at 8:43 am
Yea.. great. JUST great.
The Panthers are coming in a bad mood.
Then the Saints “will be marching in”…….. in a worse one.
November 30th, 2018 at 8:47 am
@813
Definitely thought of ya man (as far as Kris Richard) while Dallas was laying that Defensive ass whoopin on that vaunted Saints “O”.
Impressive for sure.
November 30th, 2018 at 8:53 am
Giving the saints 10 days to prepare is worse than giving them 5 months to prepare??
November 30th, 2018 at 8:55 am
Count me in, Kris Richard 2019.
November 30th, 2018 at 9:30 am
I’d like to see us go to the playoffs (not happening tho) and still fire Dirk Koetter at the end of the season. Titans did it
November 30th, 2018 at 9:50 am
Kris Richard? Same guy who was fired as Seattle’s defensive coordinator? Why would we hire a guy to fix a bad d when he wasn’t good as a coordinator?
The IQ of this fanbase is awful
November 30th, 2018 at 10:09 am
demon
that defense was flying around last night….didnt notice 1 blown coverage….dont remember seeing any missed tackled…..not too many PI’s or holding calls…..
just a very well coached disciplined unit….
#NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!…#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!
November 30th, 2018 at 10:11 am
loyal
if you think seattles defense was bad last year, then you dont know football…..we have their defense last year we make the playoffs…..
your football IQ is embarrassing…..lol….

November 30th, 2018 at 10:11 am
@813,,, no doubt man. I think they have taken over the reigns as the NFL’s best D right now
November 30th, 2018 at 10:12 am
@813
And by the way… HOW FRICKING NICE WAS IT to see a good ‘ole fashion 13-10 slugfest? — I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like Offense as much as the next person…
but I do NOT want to see every NFL game being 41-34. That is not my football. Not what I grew up on.
The game last night gave me hope… that great defense can still be a huge factor in the NFL.
November 30th, 2018 at 11:24 am
@tampa demon… yep. When you can pressure the qb with the front 4 on D and move the chains with long drives, you can win even in todays nfl. Thought I was watching the bucs from early2000s or late 90’s.
November 30th, 2018 at 11:36 am
demon
i agree 100%….thats the type of football i grew up watching….
i loved it last night….old school at its finest…..both teams played great defense….the difference was the run game….
i knew dallas had a shot at winning when the saints only had the ball twice in the first quarter……that came from dallas running the ball and keeping drew on the sideline…..
i dont think any team wants to see the cowboys the way they played last night…not with that defense and run game…..

Playoff talk?? We won’t win another game this year
November 30th, 2018 at 12:31 pm
@813
Never said Seattle’s defense was bad in 2017 you might wanna stop assuming and comprehend what you read. Why’d he get fired in Seattle then? Besides he’s not even the coordinator in Dallas, so who’s to say he could fix this defense?
November 30th, 2018 at 6:29 pm
AfrikaThaRapper, I agree 100%
