Sprained MCL For Howard

October 1st, 2018

Injury update.

If everything works out, Bucs tight end O.J. Howard will have an extra bye week.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network brings word that Howard, who injured his knee yesterday in the Mike Smith Debacle along the shore of Lake Michigan, will miss at least one game with a sprained MCL.

Joe is crossing his fingers that this is just a minor setback for one of the more dangerous weapons in the NFL much less the Bucs. An MCL sprain was allegedly what ailed Donovan Smith in August, and he was ready and rolling in less than three weeks.

Joe saw Howard limp noticeably while leaving the locker room at Soldier Field yesterday, but Howard was wearing sweatpants and Joe couldn’t tell if he had a knee brace on or not. At least he was not on crutches.

Hurt himself on that 9 foot tall throw by fitz. People like anthem like to say jameis throws will hurt somebody, well guess what? fitz throw did hurt someone, our stud tight end.

He is needed and will be missed. However, if I am this kid, no way i am rushing back for this team. He stands to make millions during his career if he can stay healthy.

Damn, there goes our best Tackle.

Brate will fill in very well. We have two more capable reserve TEs. The problem is not the offense; it’s Mike Smith. OJ will heal.

2-2. Do you pay extra for first class bandwagon seats???

Dirk doesn’t know how to use him anyway

  7. Bucamania Says:

Ok, better news than expected on his knee.

  8. pelbuc Says:

Our “stud” TE had a costly holding call early in the game that wiped out a 1st down. For every great play he makes, there is a penalty, drop or fumble.

  9. Mike Johnson Says:

Don’t matter Joe. Sure, I wish my man Howard well. He’s young. He will heal. But unless this Defense..Ok..enough. Smith will stay. We will have inspired flashes from this Defense. But no more. We will not make any playoffs and will be lucky to finsh 8-8. This team is not serious about winning. I’m as convinced of this as I was when they hired these ATL rejects as coaches. But Hey..its still a Bucs life! and the SOB’S (same ole Bucs)

I don’t blame OJ for wanting a second opinion…..this medical staff is notorious for misdiagnosing injuries and the recovery time…..

i bet Winston advised OJ to get a second opinion if he doesn’t feel comfortable with what this staff is saying….

i say he’ll be out 6weeks not including the bye…..

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!!….#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!….GO BUCS!!!!

Great another coveted 1st rounder out for the forseeable future. All because of a flat out horrendous throw by Fitztragedy. Shame Koetter didn’t take him out sooner

  12. Jameis Almighty! Says:

Bad news. Fitz gets Licht’s most promising first round pick since Famous Jameis hurt. It’s a Bucs Life…

  13. JabooBuc Says:

SOE- Not sure i follow about the bandwagon reference. I was referring to OJ’s injury and not rushing back due to the sad effort this team put forth yesterday. Saw what happened to Earl Thomas yesterday and people wonder why players hold out.

    Lol DB!

Nurse him back to health. Good on him for getting a second opinion. Can’t trust the Bucs medical staff, GM, HC, or DC. Take time to heal OJ. Get well soon!
