Jameis: Defense Is Having Fun

October 25th, 2018

Swag and dancing.

Their ringleader may have been sidelined but that doesn’t mean the Bucs defense didn’t have fun Sunday against Cleveland.

Watching from the sideline himself with injured stud defensive tackle Gerald McCoy — only because his offense didn’t have the ball — America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, can see how the defense has changed since Mark Duffner took over as the defensive coordinator.

The defenders, Jameis said, are having a blast.

“I’m happy they are having fun,” Jameis said this morning. “They did an amazing job. Without them, playing the game that they played, we probably don’t win that game.”

The Bucs defense at one point pulled a P. J. Fleck and lined up and rowed an imaginary boat.

“They need to keep having that fun,” Jameis said. “I’m excited for them, having fun and playing with swag.”

Jameis said the offense does not have any choreographed routine rehearsed like the defense but Jameis is sure someone on offense will come up with one. Jameis added it won’t be him.

“I don’t go into a week planning on dancing,” Jameis said.

Hey, Joe doesn’t give a damn if players drag in a piece of vital equipment from a Den of Depression-area clothing optional establishment and pole dance on the Buccaneers flag at midfield so long as the Bucs continue to win.

I am hopeful this Bucs Team goes two in a row and Win over the Bengals this weekend… Go Bucs!

This Sunday is one of the biggest games we have had in a while. Probably since the ill fated bogus pass interference on Winslow game versus lions. We win this and packers lose we are sitting pretty in the 6th seed with some easier opponents to come. Lose and we are back tied with Atlanta with them having a win over us. And three behind new Orleans and two behind Carolina win Sunday and we would just have to finish out 6-3 in the remaining games to finish 10-6 and that should be good enough for a playoff spot with the nfc beating each other up.

Glad they’re having fun, but which one of these little story nuggets might finally mean something to the point where you can finally say, “Hey, this team is truly on its way.”

–And if all we’ve been missing after all these years to turn things around is rowing an imaginary damn boat, then keep at it guys. I’m all for it.

…… as long as the millionaires are having fun, what more could you ask of them right?
    Jeez.

I agree with this. The team is approaching the halfway point of the season. If they beat the Bengals on the road they’ll make a lot of people around here believers. If they lose against the Bengals the team will be, in my mind, exactly who I thought they were entering the season.

I guess they should be having all of their fun now

Knowing that it will all be over with in December

This game is was no bigger than last week and will be no bigger than next week. Every game is big!

Jameis was right, the defense won this game thanks to his 3 turnovers and innacurate throws. I believe the bucs will never score over 45 points in a game with winston. point production is dropping with winston thanks to his turnovers, especially in red zone.

Injured and Stud doesn’t go together.

For all the haters that don’t see what we have in our franchise quarterback. Stop whining and boycott. Don’t watch the game and please stay off of the pro-Bucs websites with your negative b*llsh*t. You never miss the water, till your well runs dry. How many qb’s throw the ball over 50 something times without a single mistake, week after week ? I’m waiting. Shut the hell up, support the team or jump off of the plank already. Go ‘Bucs !!!! Sorry, Joe.

  14. LakeLand Says:

Drew Brees haven’t thrown a INT all season

    220 Pass Atempts

The local media and sheep are about to see the roster of licht get exposed in the next few games!!!!!!!!

    @AfrikathaRapper

You are correct that no qb can throw the ball over 50 something times every week without a mistake.

Jameis is completing the ball had a higher percentage than anyone ever thought he would, and has already become the most productive QB in Tampa Bay Buccaneers history. He continues to grow every single day he has most certainly not reached his ceiling yet.

Jameis does know that he needs to prove it to Tampa Bay on the field and off, and I think he relishes that task. The sky is still the limit.

    (AT a higher percentage)

Agreed! This roster is sketchy. I would love to see some trades. Leveon Bell, Patrick Peterson, and Gabe Jackson.

Trade our first three picks next year, and go all in. We need some star power/playmakers.

What do you think of the D without McCoy? Could he be traded? I doubt anyone can take the contract.

  20. ChipBuc Says:

Hey stats guy Lakeland. Drew Brees first 6 games passes attempted 45, 35, 49, 32, 29 30. Not even close to the amount of passes they are asking the much maligned Winston to attempt. It’s as simple as the more attempts you try, the more chance of a interception or fumble to occur. Then throw in being behind in a lot of those pass attempts, more chances are taken to catch up. It’s all intertwined bad defense, bad running game, bad Oline play. Thus all the pressure is on the QB to be perfect, which is asking a lot of a young QB. Nobody can excel in this situation. Just my opinion.
