Ryan Jensen May Not Play

On injury report.
Talk about a kick to the groin.
Scott Smith of Buccaneers.com just Twittered out alarming news. The Bucs may be without their ornery center Ryan Jensen tonight when they face the Steelers.
Per Smith, Jensen is sick as he came down with an illness and is now listed on the injury report as questionable.
This just blows chunks.
Get the guy an IV and get him some fluids, Tylenol and get him out there. Buy him a puke bucket if need be. Jensen is extra valuable tonight as guy intimately familiar with the Steelers defense as a member of the Ravens last year.

Interesting BTW Joe, that when our OLine loses ONE GUY, everyone heads for cover because the sky is falling. ONE GUY out from our entire offense. Woe is us.
But when the DLine loses THREE GUYS (ALLEN, UNREIN & VEA) & our LBs/Secondary lose several others, a chant goes up in Bucsville … “NEXT MAN UP; SMITTY & HIS DEFENSE SUCK”. Come on offense, suck it up and put a BUNCH of points on the board tonight. You’re the healthy ones … LOTS of points, No turnovers, Control the clock tonight and play COMPLIMENTARY FOOTBALL by capitalizing on any turnovers OUR defense generates. No excuses.

I’ve been in a similar situation where I got the flu and didn’t think I would be able to preform and to my surprise it was my best game I’ve ever had. He is a tough dude. Let him lay down in the locker room or a quiet corner undisturbed until kickoff then unleash the beast!

the defense, dline in particular has more/better depth than the oline…..same with the secondary…..grimes goes down and we still a 2nd round pick in….or ryan smith who has gotten tons of PT over the years…..God forbid but if 1 of our tackles goes down, whos replacing them?…an UDFA? or a player from a D2 school?……
with all the depth and talent smitty has now, he still needs to tighten up…..

Im with you….in college i got sick after a win vs Hampton back in Daytona beach and thought i wouldn’t be able to play at home vs south Carolina state…..we lost but i had a good game….recorded a force fumble….teammates were giving me hell because they thought i was just trying to get out of practice….lol….

This team and half of it’s fans just can’t seem to handle the success. Figures that whatever can happen, will happen. If players were truly committed to winning they’d do whatever it takes to be out there. Good thing I don’t take care of contracts because I would put a clause in all contracts that says if you can’t play, besides having a catastrophic injury or a death in the immediate family, you will only receive 20% of your normal pay. Seems players today will miss games over a darn hangnail.

Well, my car tire blew out on i275 south this morning… got it towed home because I didn’t have a spare and needed to go get another tire with my wife’s car… only to find out that the alternator had also gone bad!!
But car is fine now and ready to rock tomorrow for work… for now, it’s BUCS time!!!
