Shocked to see Noah Spence as being a healthy scratch and put on the inactive list. Was hoping he would be the 3rd down rusher. Starting to have doubts if he is a bust. He was doing good his rookie season until the shoulder injury. I think he would make a great 3-4 linebacker in another system.

Nassib has about the same number of years in the nfl as Spence (close enough), but Spence was injured most of his time, so Nassib has more experience. That;s why Spence is not playing.

Bonzai – No issues with the play calling so far, OJ on the last series popped a ball up on an easy big play, Evans dropped an easy 1st down – only issue I’ve seen from Monken so far is that inside side-to-side sweep from shotgun, it didn’t work in the preseason and hasn’t really worked in game. I don’t think that run in the first series was that play, but didn’t get a great look, but I did see it lose us 6 yards the last time it was ran. Monken needs to burn that play, it doesn’t work. Otherwise he’s been great.

The Eagles, by most accounts, have the best offensive line in football. The Saints are generally considered a top 5 line. The Bucs have played two of the best in weeks 1 and 2, so you can’t completely condeem the d-line for not looking good so far.
Anywho it’s 7-7, lets see if Fitz can get something done.

The offensive line is playing great – they had that one series where the Eagles got some pressure, but otherwise they’ve been great.
Also, NOTE, none of this 1970s offense BS of you have to RUN the ball. No, no you don’t. If you pass the ball you can setup the run. Monken is doing a great job, except for that shotgun inside sweep, that play is garbage, but otherwise, I love how aggressive he’s staying, pushing the ball downfield. Fitz is doing a great job so far as well.

Not to be a buzzkill, but in the Ronde Barber game where he single handedly beat the Eagles, I do believe the Bucs were up 20-7 after two Ronde INT’s for TDs. The Eagles then came back and got two TDs and were up 21-20, and that’s the play where Matt Bryant hit the famous 62 yard FG to win the game.
So know your history kiddos and don’t start celebrating.

Last week with about 8 mins to go Dirk took back control of the playcalling and nearly let the Saints back into the game when he decided it was time for Dirkball and just ran it up the middle for no yards to run the clock (which you don’t do with 8 mins to go against Brees). Anyways lets hope we’re in a situation where we, or at least I, get to complain about that, and lets hope Dirk learned from last week to just let Monken keep calling the plays until the clock hits 0.

Our O-Line is CLEARLY better (strong even) with the addition of Jensen at center and move Marpet back to guard.
We just have too many offensive weapons for teams to stop. Very hard for other teams to blitz us because a great WRs/TE will be wide open.
Just think if we could get RoJo worked into the offense at some point and catching the ball in space.
AND…
We underestimate how much keeping our D off the field to rest makes them 10X better. It’s all working well together like a… TEAM.

You left out the MAJOR difference in last year’s offense and this year’s. Our Offensive line.
This is one of probably THE best defensive lines in the league on the Eagles. Our guys have given up a little pressure but overall once again Fitz has had time to complete passes.
We talk about all our great targets and no doubt we are LOADED…but the bottom line is if an NFL OL gives their QB time…their QB will shred the D. We know this from being on the wrong side of that equation far too long…even rookies were able to shred us with our lack of pass rush.

Ronald will be fine I think, but he doesn’t play special teams and isn’t a 3rd down back, so for now he’s inactive. He’ll get a chance at some point and if he’s playing in this offense and gets some help from the o-line, I think he’ll show off what he can do.

Has anyone noticed the O and D lines! Holy crap! They were supposed to be manhandle by the Philly monsters. Not so much. Fits has been pretty clean most of the game and Foles has been getting a lot of good pressures. It all starts with our guys up front and they have been playing outstanding football for the most part. Rookies and recently signed, on both sides, have shown up to play. Gotta love our Bucs. Excitement on Sundays again. GO BUCS!

Winston will not be back the remainder of this season no matter what happens next Sunday. Fitz is so much better when given the opportunity to practice with the first team. GM and head coach had no idea how to assess a Quarterback . Fitz given the opportunity to start has proven how completely wrong the GM and head coach was with their decision. Being aggressive isn’t about going deep on every play, it’s about taking risks and throwing the ball instead of taking 1 yard up the middle.

Now we see if our team has an identity. It’s one thing to say the defense should protect the lead but if we are truly a GREAT offensive team this is where we simply move the chains and keep it away from Philly.
Do we have faith in our D to hold them? That’s what I thought. We don’t need faith if our offense could simply move the ball and run the clock.

Okay…Defense was much improved this game, but they still need improvement. 60 minutes of football, guys.

Bonzai, it’s easy to say “60 minutes of football guys” when our D has been on the field in a heat index of more than 100 degrees for a lot longer than the other team. You guys need to get a grip. The defense is playing as well as they can, especially given the losses we have right now in the secondary.

With clock running in 2nd half, Fitz often took the snap at 7 or 8 secs on the game clock instead of letting it go to 2 or 3 to run off more time
