Koetter Marvels At JPP

August 15th, 2018

Lauds JPP.

As Joe pointed out earlier, Bucs defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was a monster today in the first of two joint practices this week with the Titans held in Nashville.

JPP often owned Titans’ offensive linemen, even to the point of mocking Titans tackle Taylor Lewan for his inability to block a guy who possesses half a hand.

Later, JPP addressed the Bucs about the passion it takes to win in the NFL. The guy should know. He’s got a Super Bowl ring.

Later, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter marveled at JPP’s day.

“Yeah, very pleasant surprise,” Koetter said of JPP turning into the leader of the defense. “I guess I wasn’t expecting JPP to be the practice player and the leader that he’s been so far. I’m really fired up about it. Sometimes a guy that’s got his pedigree comes in and is looking for ways out of drills, and that’s not him at all.”

It is starting to smell like Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht may have hit a home run in trading a third-round pick for JPP. His status as a respected senior citizen on the team may be worth the draft pick alone.

Let’s just say JPP is the anti-Swaggy. Instead of drilling palm trees, JPP is drilling quarterbacks.

That was a filthy move against highest paid lineman in nfl.

The double throw Does this move have a name ?

That’s how a REAL player does it GMC, you don’t let a few missing digits affect your play! Unlike you softie you stub your big toe and your out. What a joke!

WHY ALL THE HATE???? Jesus h. I try to refrain because I know these people are only looking for attention, but damn man, can you let a real fan enjoy a positive article about this team? So one player embarrassing the highest paid o lineman in the league during an offseason practice doesn’t mean anything as far as the regular season is concerned, i get it, but you gotta start somewhere right? Our o line dominated, at least one d end looked incredible, apparently our passing game was unstoppable. There’s much more reason for optimism this year than almost I can remember. Can you people that call yourselves fans just try to get behind this team instead of trying to pick them apart?? Damn son..
And as usual, great reporting Joe, and thank you for keeping the articles flowing. MOST of us actually enjoy your work!

Epic!! He used momentum against his opponent twice in a row which rendered him useless!
    Nice lesson for young combatants.

That move was sick from JPP. The Bucs haven’t had a DE like this since Simeon Rice.

Hope the rest of the line is picking up tips and absorbing as much as possible from JPP. Those hands are nasty! (even with a few pieces missing)
