The Jason Pierre-Paul Interview You Must Watch

August 8th, 2018

What an inspiration Jason Pierre-Paul is.

Man, after watching this, Joe almost believes that one man can transform this Buccaneers defense.

Don’t skip this one. JPP was on Good Morning Football today on NFL Network. There’s a reason Joe’s not writing about this; you must watch.

EVERY MAN FOR THEMSELF!!!!!!…..spoken like a true CHAMP!!!!!

    those backflips….lol…..man that’s crazy!!!!!

    #NOEXCUSESIN2018!!!!…#PRESSURESONTHECOACHES!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

  3. BucDan Says:

Way to represent the team. Good stuff.

  4. Joel Says:

Its great to finally have a real leader on defense. Haven’t had once since we lost Ronde. Hopefully he’s got something left in the tank.

Its also nice to have a leader not wearing super hero clothes.

  5. Chris watson Says:

Please dirk just play him at DE, stop this whole DT thing…. JPP isnt what he used to be but he can still be somewhat productive IF you keep him at DE. Dont mess this up DIRK!

  6. stpetebucsfan Says:

He doesn’t just represent the Bucs well…he represents the entire human race well!!!

He actually has gratitude. It’s the major missing ingredient in much of our society right now and why we’re so polarized.

Never have so many people been so blessed and yet spent so much time beotching.

    JPP…You da man!!!

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I had two very distinctly different thoughts…..

    1. I am so glad JPP is a Buc.

    2. IRA, What in the world is wrong with Kay Adams…..she, is definitely gropeable.

  8. NyBucfan Says:

This interview has me pumped!!! JPP is a beast and I can not wait to see him in action!!!!! So glad he is a BUC!!!!!

  9. Dooshlarue Says:

    SPBF

    Very well stated, as usual.

    Go Bucs!

  10. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Yes St. Pete

And, it all starts with being born in America…..how very lucky we are and we had absolutely nothing to do with it……we were all blessed from the very beginning.

  11. AmericasEnabler Says:

Cool dood. Might be a good rental. He combined with coach Buk could be a real turning point once they jettison Smith and Koetter. Stay tuned!

  12. The Real Malloy Says:

    @Chris Watson

First off, it’s not Dirks call, it’s Smitty and Buckner’s call. Secondly, they’re not playing him at DT exclusively. They are moving him inside on 3rd down passing situations to have the four best pass rushers on the field. Due to size, they’re sure as hell not putting Noah Spence on the inside, and he’s shown to do well inside so far. Think of it like the NASCAR package the Giants ran back in the day on passing downs.

  13. Mike Johnson Says:

Luv this interview. Jpp is straight up with no chaser. Hope he rubs off on the Defnse this season. There is no doubt he is going to bring it this year. Hope the whole TEAM does.

  14. Bob in Valrico Says:

Great interview, I knew he was talented on the field. But his attitude is fantastic
and he has the makings of a great leader and teammate.

  15. Buccfan37 Says:

A whole lotta love for JPP and his journey in his life in and outside of football.

  16. Warrenfb12 Says:

I’m not a big fan of JPP being moved all over the line. I know the counter argument is get your best four on the field, but why wouldn’t u just put your best pass rusher in the position which he has been having success at for almost a decade?

  17. D-Rome Says:

Tremendous interview and a tremendous person! It’s night and day compared to Chris Baker.

  18. unbelievable Says:

    Loved the interview.

    And well said st. Pete!

  19. Buc1987 Says:

    TBBF….You’re right about Kay!

  20. Buc1987 Says:

    Warrenfb12…cause Smitty that’s why!

  21. Pickgrin Says:

    That’s real talk.

Here’s hoping JPP has a healthy and VERY productive 2018. Maybe with his help we can even extend “this” year at least a few weeks into 2019….

  22. firethecannons Says:

    This dude is so real.
Last year people thought the Giants were giving JPP up so they could get Chubb.–in my mind JPP so much more powerful in so many ways. Can you imagine if he was in last years draft–no doubt he would of gone in top 5. Yet Licht got him for a 3rd round pick and a salary. He is a winner and he will bring Bucs out of the losing culture.

  23. BringBucsBack Says:

Man, I don’t want to sound like a D-bag (no reference to you, Dooshlarue) but, I wonder where all of this awesome “gratitude” was when he missed 3 days of OTAs with a brand new team, that, by the way, would have paid him $250k, per day? What in the world would one have to be doing to give up $250k, for 3 consecutive days? That didn’t strike me as particularly gracious!

I hope we finally replaced Simeon but, I’m a longtime Bucs fan and like every Bucs fan, I am simply tired of hearing a litany of “Koop-aid mixing” in the form of positive cliches. These guys almost always say the “right” things then, behave/practice/perform differently than their rote knowledge.

I’m ready for winning football; nothing else.

  24. SB Says:

Great stuff here from All of my favorite posters!
I am thinking we gain ground this yr!
    GO BUCS!

  25. Matt in Palmetto Says:

Man I love having this dude on our team. I love his energy and humility. I love that he is thankful! That is so rare for pro athletes these days. Let’s go JPP! Transform this defense!

  26. Greg Says:

Kay Adams is a nutritious part of every breakfast!

  27. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Greg

And Kay makes a great snack….

  28. BigMacAttack Says:

JPP we’re blessed to have you. Good stuff Joe, thanks for sharing. It’s going to be a great season. Go Bucs!!!

  29. Bucsfanman Says:

Joe- Thank you for the clip! Unfortunately I’m out the door every morning by 6:30 and never get to see GMFB and my girl Kay.
What an interview! JPP is so inspiring and such a breath of fresh air. I’ve got to give props to stpetebucsfan who put it so eloquently. Watching this made me want to take a deep breath.
I look for good things from JPP and our defensive line. Is it 7 yet?!

  30. Harry in Costa Rica Says:

    @St Pete,

Cant top your quote, and can’t agree more! Truly great addition to the Bucs, as a player and a human being!

  31. FortMyersDave Says:

Damn good interview and a good message that transcends football. Don’t watch GMFB too much but that was a damn good interview by Nate Burleson of JPP (and Kay is good eye candy to boot). Its hard not to pull for this guy and he looks to be the right presence the Bucs need in the locker room as opposed to some of the slackers like Swaggy who dragged the D down last season. Thanks for posting this Joe, a pleasant breath of fresh air when most of what we here about ball players and coaches is basically negative….. Looking forward to the game, on the air tonight on WFTX Fox 4 in Lee and Charlotte Counties.

  32. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Joel Says
“Its great to finally have a real leader on defense. Haven’t had once since we lost Ronde.”

That is not accurate on so many levels. First, we’ve had leaders…we just did not have enough spots with talent to back it up.

Second, Ronde was amazing, but he was no leader. He was the silent type. He played hard, he worked and practiced hard. But he never considered himself a leader.
