I just finished listening to the Tuesday morning podcast for the 28th. It was chock-full of good stuff. That’s why I come here to listen. I could babel on at length with responses, so I won’t.
_____________
Jerel Worthy was mentioned near the end of the podcast.
Michael Bennett was an undrafted free agent for the Seattle Seahawks in 2009. He then landed in Tampa Bay that same year. He built a foundation here, including having 9 sacks in 2012, then he hightailed it back to Seattle.
His record since then is well known to NFL football fans in general and most Bucs fans as well. He was traded to Philadelphia in the Spring and made the news today with a felony charge against him. (I assume the news broke after the podcast was over wit.)
It was mentioned in today’s discussion how angry he would get after losses here and his rough behaviour in the post game locker room.
A question might be was his departure more of a result of his disdain for the losing culture here at the time? Or was he “allowed” to depart because he was perceived to be of “undesirable” character and unwanted by the powers that be within the Buccaneers’ organization? (Or maybe it was something else altogether.)
I know very much nothing about our newest defensive lineman. I have no reason to compare his situation to that of Bennett’s except for the idea of his being brought in for evaluation as a player. I am going to watch his situation with interest if he remains on the roster this season.

Go Bucs!!!!
