Buckner, the fiery and ferocious new addition to Dirk Koetter’s staff, is seen in this new official Buccaneers video below talking to Gerald McCoy during training camp practice about Defensive Player Of The Year honors.
The Bucs have produced their own G-rated version of Hard Knocks and “The Current” is the first installment. It’s very cool. And Joe thought the McCoy talk was the most interesting, and Joe would put Brent Grimes locker room basketball at a close second.

The Current is legit. Saw it yesterday. Great move by the marketing team. I hope McCoy buys into Buckner, as his body language does not show that he is.

Marketing has yet to win a game. A 5-11 team needs 100% focus on one thing…winning. The deck is stacked against them by the issues of their QB and they do a show. Amazing. The best marketing that can be done is to WIN. That markets the team better than any short movie.

Impressive video Joe. I get the feeling that this team is really focused this year. Don’t know how much of that has to do with the infusion of TALENT that we added during the off-season, but I would think that must play some part in it. Agree with Alaskan also that it’s good to see Ali stepping up as a leader.

This is a better team and a veteran team and expectations are high as always until the losing starts but until that happens I’m on board, no reason they won’t be competitive the first 3 games

Early signs from camp show neither guy is blockable. Hope McCoy has his best year as a buc cause offenses have to focus on a few guys for the first time in say 10 years !

Wish you internet tough guys would go to one of the practices and call McCoy out in public that he’s a punk and soft as wet toilet paper or melting ice cream. Chumps will smile in his face to shake his hand or get an autograph but get up on some board call him less than a man. You punks couldn’t even take ONE hit of what he takes all game. Just a bunch of Nancy Drew mystery readers! If he refused to sign autographs you lil sissies woud be up here crying about that!

@Realist also the 3 tech is always on the outside shoulder of the guard or in the (B) gap, making it difficult to double him and the DE.

So you are saying it is impossible to double team GMC????? That was the biggest excuse of why he does not make big plays in games when they need him!!!!!!!! can no O-line shift???? The truth is he is a very good pass rusher, but average in run stopping and often creates more problems for the front 7!!!!!!!!
There is a reason that Kawann Short has been out playing GMC the last three years, who does get doubled and is still very productive!!!!!!!!! But the sheep will say the team is set!!!! That they have the most talent!!!! Ask the “real” nfl types where all the talent ranks in the nfc south!!!!!!!!

My money is on Noah Spence. Kid added 35 pounds of muscle eating a 9 meal 9000 calorie diet plan. He’s weighing in at 263 lbs. Same heart, intensity and motor as before. Love this kid.

That new feature is genius. They should have a double length version for season ticket holders. It would add another reason to buy season tickets. Not the only reason, but just like tossing pennies in a jar, they add up.

I would love to see the return of the red and pewter uniforms on a full time basis. I have hated these new uniforms from the start. That said, the uniforms have nothing to do with winning, and I foresee the Bucs making it to the NFC championship game this year.
I normally wait until after the last preseason game to make any predictions, but I’m confident that, barring an injury nightmare like what happened last season, this team goes 11-5…like it would have last year with a better kicker and a better defense (which it has this year).
