Caleb Benenoch Talks “Cheapness,” Fights, Love & Dreams
August 1st, 2018Three things to know about Caleb Benenoch through training camp this season.
He looks bigger, stronger and happier. Dude has upped his smile game in a big way. And some of that is his position as the No. 1 right guard on the board after two years as a backup.
“I’m having fun, man,” Benenoch said. “Camp is always a grind, but I’m having a blast right now playing with the guys, running with the 1s, Get your dream on, man, so it’s fun.”
Even his Sunday fight with defensive linemen Mitch Unrein was all about love, Benenoch said, even if Unrein threw the first punch.
“Man, that’s just brotherly love. We’re both really good competitors. Mitch is a fierce competitor,” Benenoch said.
“Cheapness is going to happen in the game, we just gotta, you know, keep our composure better and not throw and not really have that scuffle. It wasn’t nothing serious, though, We’re very cool.”
Benenoch added that all his work at guard in OTAs set him up for a strong camp.
Joe will say that Benenoch certainly looks bigger/stronger than the 6-5, 305-pound guy that emerged from the NFL Scouting combine in 2016.

Yeah…… He was a backup for reason the past couple of years….. I surely hope he doesn’t turn into a turnstile…… Cause I don’t know much old man Fitz can take when it comes to constantly getting hit.
I remember all them hits Jameis took last year…… Just flat out ugly!

everything i’ve read and heard about unrein makes me believe that spot next to mccoy is really going to be a rotation. allen unrein and vea will all rotate and play probably pretty similar amount of snaps
