Updates On Jameis Murals, Videos

So, a couple of things Joe speculated about in recent days seem to be accurate.
ESPN Bucs beat reporter Jenna Laine had a little bit of scoopage Wednesday evening. Both have to do with images, real and imagined, about America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston.
Of course when the player murals on went up on the side of the Den of Depression recently, the mural of Jameis came down. Joe thought that was possibly a move by the corporate wing of the Bucs to appease sponsors.
Laine hints that is exactly what happened. Her Bucs sources told her that not having Jameis’ mural on the stadium is for “optics” and is no way a reflection of how the team feels about him.
Additionally, the promotional videos the Bucs put out without Jameis, Joe thought given the timeline, that it was possibly the Bucs actually recorded videos of Jameis but never released them. Laine’s sources confirmed this as well. In fact, Laine added it is not out of the question the Bucs could release the promotional videos of Jameis at a later date.

Sucks not to have Jameis for the first few games, but I see this as a very rude awakening for him. He is now a father and realizes more than ever how his decisions, no matter how small they may seem at the time, have a big impact. That’s a lesson he can use to his advantage off the field as well as on it.
I don’t condone his decision making, though I do hope that he can learn from it and continue to grow as a person and player. Hence why I am still backing him 100% as he returns week 4.
But know your limits pal. Lady Luck grows tired quickly and if you find yourself relying on her input to save you from the poor situations you put yourself in, well that will lead to a much more rude awakening than a 3 game suspension.

I mean you see a picture of lavonte or marpet and you think the article will be about some other person then jameis …
And the article turns into the Joe’s asking these players about jameis. Give it a rest. Let’s focus on the rest of the team that will be playing day 1 for a change. Groundhog Day here. I also noticed that, in the pictures showing veterans arriving to camp on the Bucs website, Jameis is omitted.

Good to know that jameis’ future with the team isn’t as big a question mark as many think…
those who say the article is pointless clearly share the same flawed point of view; they hated the guy before he was drafted or they don’t know sh!t about football…need I remind you of those jersey sales???

Jameis will not speak abut this to the media……Glazers & Koetter & Licht will not…..only players who are asked, and they will all be asked…..
To say that taking his picture down and not releasing promotional videos of him is not a reflection on how the team feels about him is the ultimate spin….of course it is a reflection about how they feel.
They may not feel strong enough to cut him or trade him….but they feel they need to hide him. Obviously, he is temporarily no longer the face of the franchise.

Regardless of how you feel about Jameis…any objective viewer sees that this is a HUGE deal.
Just look at the remarks here on JBF. Half for…half against…perhaps a quarter who are Jameis cultists…a quarter who’ve never liked Jameis to begin with…
Whatever look at the comment counts when Joe does a Jameis thread. 3-4X more than other topics. Clearly this is where the interest lies.
Sadly though look not only at the division but how sharp and passionate!!!!

Yeah I’m a snowflake so can someone please explain why ANYBODY feels the need to hurl some of the most insulting comments at another poster simply for having a take different than theirs? Really?
I disagree with plenty here but when I feel the need to return with insults I quickly realize this is a poster I shouldn’t bother even engaging. If I disagree with a respected poster then I enjoy the debate because I know the level they’re going to respond. Some of my best debates have been with guys with whom I agree over 90% of the time…but when you debate those guys you know they are going to remain rational.

I’ve been hearing all this news on Jameis & I agree w/ everybody hammering him about the wrong situation he put himself in BUT this was 2 yrs ago. Nothing (that we know) has happened since almost 3 yrs this incident had happened.
So isn’t it fair to also point out how much Jameis has done in the community & being a respectable citizen since. Reporters are reporting like this JUST happened lol. Yes the news just happened but not the event. Gotta be smarter & more fair than that!
