Noah Spence Likes To Eat

June 8th, 2018

Inhaling food.

Now this is a diet just about every red-blooded American male would love to have. Problem is, 99 percent of us would be the size of a beached whale.

If any of Joe’s readers ever get the chance to meet Bucs defensive end Noah Spence, one quickly notices this guy is absolutely chiseled. Joe doesn’t think there is an ounce of fat on the guy. Lean. Built. Cut.

So it was a shock to Joe to learn that Spence, despite his body-building physique, eats like a hungry dog. That is, the guy never stops.

Last year Spence’s weight dropped too much to be an effective defensive end in the NFL. Whether that had something to do with blowing out another shoulder at Minnesota isn’t clear. But Spence was determined not to let his weight drop again.

So the dude devours more than Adam Richman. When asked about what he does to keep on the pounds, Spence said he shovels grub into his gullet all day long.

“I eat like 10 meals a day now, and like seven different shakes throughout the day,” Spence explained. “Last year I got down to 228 during camp. Now I’m at 257 so I’m feeling a lot better.

“I’ve got Meal Prep, so it’s like different stuff every day. Like a starch, steak, vegetables, I don’t know. Big portions, though.”

That is some serious food intake. Sounds like he’s not just preparing to wage war one some poor sap of an offensive tackle, but the dude might be trying out for a new Food Network show.

There are some damn good Cuban food joints close to One Buc Palace. Wonder if Spence hangs at one of those joints to eat a barrel of black beans and rice?

Now Joe is hungry.

I’d normally apologize for being cynical, but the NFL and especially the Bucs have been here too many times. So I’ll say it: I hope all the good that’s coming to N. Spences body is all within NFL rules. I have no reason to believe otherwise with Spence, but how often have we seen PEDs ruin squads, ruin our team’s chances. Four games here, four games there. Just enough to ensure suckdom for a season.

Good on Noah, if he’s killin’ it the right way.

I wonder if when he gets older his metabolism slows down and he can eat say 6 meals a day and get the same results

Tells me his natural weight is 230

Most football players do not play at their natural weight. Look at Brad Culpepper today and when he played. He looks like a WR not a DT.

Noah is still a young man but this is his time to mature and fill out. As long as he’s not carrying any wasted weight as in fat and he appears to be the opposite..ripped.

His game will be to get the OT’s in a little space…if he can juke them at all and use his strength to shove them to one side or another….he might be really dangerous.

His game is not Vea’s. Vea can simply go up against anybody one on one and win because of his amazing size and strength.

    @St Pete

Was going to make the same point. So many O-lineman or D-lineman drop like 50+ lbs or more super fast after retiring. Most the weights in the NFL are not natural lol

Yup, this is pretty standard for NFL players. Minimum of 6-7 meals a day if not more.

I still eat 5-6 meals a day myself in my mid-30s and can barely get over 165lbs.
