Haha all these salty FSU fans 😂

Would be a great pick if the Bucs ran a 3-4.

When you have the weakest defense in the league, you draft the biggest, baddest man in the draft.
April 26th, 2018 at 9:56 pm
I do believe we took a DT at #12 a couple decades ago and Mr. Sapp worked out pretty well.
April 26th, 2018 at 9:56 pm
Great, a run stuffer at 12 overall. Still have a terrible secondary.
April 26th, 2018 at 9:56 pm
Good pick. No complaints here. Would have liked Davenport just as much. Interested what we do with the 3 2nd rounders

Well this will be my sons favorite player in a couple years. Anyone with a young kid has had to watch muana a couple times. All vita has thought about for 1000 years was keeping his hair silky smooth and getting his hook back.

Our d-line is OLD!
We needed some YOUTH.
Great pick!
From the worst D-line in the NFL to the DEEPEST.

I give Jason Licht credit, he completely overhauled the D-Line in 1 season
April 26th, 2018 at 10:08 pm
This was a great move by Licht. I couldn’t have asked for more. Now, we have a solid first rounder and TWO freakin’ second rounders! A+ draft management so far.
April 26th, 2018 at 10:10 pm
I can’t believe you passed Davenport and now have him chasing your qb!!!! Licht don’t sweat it tho

@Rod Munch … “Would be a great pick if the Bucs ran a 3-4.” Caveat that a little Rod. He’ll be a great pick WHEN Bucs run a 3-4 (although he’ll also be awesome in our current 4-3 IMO). My guess is we’ll see more of the 3-4 this year, and wouldn’t be at all surprised to see us move totally to a 3-4 next year. Takes time to get the right personnel for a 3-4 defense. We’re getting closer.
What’s REALLY awesome is now having THREE 2nd Rnd picks. No reason we can’t grab a stud RB, beastly OG AND a superb outside CB … our PRIORITY NEEDS in Rnd 2. Grab a SS in Rnd 4 (or FA) and then we’d be in good shape to draft a few players for development & depth. Jason, ya done good … hang tough now.

The Buc’s were impressed with Vea’s pre-draft visit. There was a buzz in the air and they seem comfortable with this pick. Welcome to Tampa big man!
April 26th, 2018 at 10:12 pm
Most of the guys over at Buc nation are whining like babies over the Vea pick. They keep saying we need DB help which I agree with but we can fix that with our 3 second rounders.
April 26th, 2018 at 10:14 pm
With Sapp we traded from 7 to 12. Good
omen!
April 26th, 2018 at 10:15 pm
Him plenty strong. Play plenty mean 2. Like the pick better each time I see a highlight.
April 26th, 2018 at 10:17 pm
Great pick D line looking much much better.
April 26th, 2018 at 10:20 pm
Pretty solid pick from what I can tell.
April 26th, 2018 at 10:45 pm
You guys should start chanting this with me. I’ve written it 1000 times since December and the Bucs have followed it to a T thus far…
FIX THE TRENCHES, FIX THE BUCS!!

I really wanted James at 12, but I love this pick, Licht has completely overhauled our D-Line. We may have a top 5 front 7 in the league by the end of this year. McCoy can now get some rest (getting older) and we can bust a 3-4 at that time. We need a RB (or 2- though re-signing Sims May keep us drafting one, I just puked in my mouth) and a CB (or 2) and would love one more O-lineman.

Defense rules, I agree with you about the future, but Mike Smith won’t run a base 3-4. He’s a 4-3 guy to his grave. I don’t like the 3-4, but it’s easier to find 3/4OLBs than 4-3DEs. I would like the change
April 27th, 2018 at 1:09 am
Tony, you are correct. Most games are won at the line
April 27th, 2018 at 1:12 am
BucFan, tell these fans that the less time an opposing QB has to throw, and the more times they are in 3rd and long, the better our DBs will look
April 27th, 2018 at 2:41 am
Been saying D-line rotation since we got Curry and Allen. Nice.
April 27th, 2018 at 2:45 am
Please God Will Hernandez in the second. Two 350 lb. dudes on both sides of the trenches. Nasty.
