Master Of Broken Tackles
April 28th, 2018No need to fret about Ronald Jones. He may not be the biggest guy but that doesn’t mean he is easy to bring down.
Over in Ireland where many of the PFF tribe members roost, the well-trained orangutans have documented broken tackles for all the top running backs who were coming out of college.
It seems no running back in America last year expected to be drafted this weekend broke more tackles than Jones, your new Bucs running back.
So no need to worry about Jones not being 220 or bigger. Seems he can elude tackles just fine.

This kid can play and has speed to spare. Cant wait to watch him bust off long runs and NOT get caught from behind at the 2 like Doug Martin did all the time with the exception of that Raiders game when he went off!!

Good to hear.
Just didn’t watch a lot of USC play this year but excited about this kid

What’s good is what he does after he breaks the tackle…..

Looks better and better. Revamped OL will help him.

When Doug Martin was at his best, that’s what he was, a small but powerful back who could run through tackles

That’s great he can break tackles and I seen that on a little film I watched. But durability is my concern. Can he take a hit over 16 games? I sure hope so. Having Barber does ease my mind though

His idol is Chris Johnson. The 2,000 yard Chris Johnson.
He reminds me of Jamaal Charles too.
He’s a Texas boy! I love it!
Go Bucs!!!

Yes!!! He could make players miss from the second level. Something we haven’t seen RBs be able to do for quite some time.
If he can force missed tackles in the pros like he did in college we will be in great shape!!!

@ Joe’s,
It seems a little odd that we haven’t heard a conference call or any communication from our high 2nd round draft pick RB Ron Jon. Any news on when he will be introduced?
