Exclusive Audio: Joel Glazer Talks To Joe

April 14th, 2018

Buccaneers co-owner Joel Glazer talks to Joe — Part II. (Part I is linked inside the post)

Team Glazer sat down with Joe and Ira Kaufman a couple of weeks ago for a chat at the stately Ritz-Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes.

Sadly, there were no cognac and cigars courtesy of Bucs ownership. However, Joe does have a second and final audio cut from the talk here.

In this segment, you’ll hear Buccaneers co-chairman Joel Glazer addresss the Jameis-Koetter relationship, learning about Koetter, evaluating a GM, fan frustration, draft control, hot-seat talk, the pass rush, a Young Frankenstein analogy and more.

Click above to listen.

Miss Part I of the audio? It’s linked right here.

Another thanks to the Buccaneers for agreeing to share the audio with the great fans of Tampa Bay.

Glazers, please sell the team to someone who cares about American Football

  2. Pickgrin Says:

Its going to be interesting to watch how perceptions about the Glazers will shift once the team starts winning…

  3. Jim Says:

And the message is: “Gotta be patient.” Got it…

  4. Fire the Glazers Says:

This family is nothing without Malcolm.
Every decision thus far has been head scratching buffoonery.
I don’t buy any of the patience bull.
They’re just going to fire Koetter and Licht the next bad season they have and ‘start fresh,’ and AGAIN, ask the fans to be patient.
    We have been patient…
“All 4 head coaches hired since you fired Gruden, patient.”

  5. Roy T. Buford Says:

Cognac and cigars is not the Glazer way. Never has been. I disagree with the continuous comments about the Glazers not caring. That’s pure ignorance speaking. These owners have tried to hire experience, upcoming, new, past Buc loves, and promising–take your pick. Nothing has worked. If anything, they did good by not going the Dan Snyderish route and trying to influence individual games or making daily football decisions. Yeah, I get it. Some folks don’t like the fact the Glazers didn’t buy a failing team with a history of no attendance a new stadium and give them a whole bunch of free stuff. What moron would do that? What idiot would buy the NFL laughing stock where the metro area doesn’t support the team a $230 million stadium and risk losing that investment? We are lucky to have the Bucs, especially for all the Tampa name recognition and commerce brought. I also know personally the Glazers would surely like to win. It’s funny in that when I visit Man U they say the fans accuse the Glazers of favoring the Bucs. Either way, this isn’t MLB where there is no salary cap, and God knows they’ve run the range on coaching options. It’s good the owners are sticking with this coach longer than two years. They love offense, and went out and got the guys recommended. It’s not their fault those guys don’t produce.

Forget the Glazers! How about them Bolts!

  7. Dooshlarue Says:

    Well said Roy T.

  8. Not there yet Says:

At the end of the day the glazers have the excuse Jerry Jones does not, they don’t play gm if you think they are your speculating. They hire a coach and gm to do a job. Even the fact that you have to give up draft picks to get a coach and win a Superbowl ways a lot about what kind of front office they want but winning lines their pockets more than losing so yes they want to win but do they know how to or how to find the right people for the job? Not so far
