Who are you guys audio editor? It suck to hear the same comment within 5 mins aparts then eventually something new. Sounds like you clicked on the podcast before your page loaded. It’s not the podcast. –Joe

If he’s there, Bucs pick Nelson at 7. No way Ali’s moving from center. Sweezy is a risk but you draft Nelson and keep Benenoch in wings as replacement G/T.

  3. Joe Blahak Says:

    Nelson! yes sir!

  4. Mike Johnson Says:

I would not pick Nelson. Not with the sorry Defensive showing of the Bucs last season. I’d trade down, make trades, scour the FA market…Anything to get one of the leagues worst Defenses competitive again. If we do not, expect much of the same next season. Nelson is a great pick if your Defense is at least holding the line. Ours is not. Treat your Defensive needs with a sense of urgency to at least give yourself a chance.

Joe, you’re reading too much into the pressers saying they’re close.

I don’t at all believe they’re delusional about their DL and DB positions. What they say publicly is different from what’s going on behind the scenes. That’s interesting. They were delusional last season about Ryan Smith and the running backs position, as well as thinking their locker room was a fit for a guy like Swaggy who arrived with a questionable work ethic. –Joe

You could make a reasonable argument that they’re close — provided they address the 3 top needs – DL, DB, RB – and Jameis has a good year. Every team in the NFL is “close” if they fix their 3 top needs and get a good year at QB. –Joe

Also, I really think a lot of last year’s disappointment was because of the hype and distraction and the immaturity of guys buying into it. They didn’t practice well in training camp, which Koetter mentioned constantly… Apparently this carried over all season. I think you could make an argument that this could’ve cost them at least 3 games.

I’m expecting a bounce this season from the removal of distractions, the restoration of a humble work ethic, and the elimination of the Baker cancer. Add in improved talent on the DL with the addition of a coach who knows how to motivate them. I think all these complaining and b!tching Bucs fans plus the constantly negative JBF folks will be silenced somewhat in 2018.

I’d grab Vea before I would Nelson. But…Hey..its a Buc Life baby!!

  8. Syl Says:

I seriously think they are saying they are close, because they had no running game. If they could actually run the ball I think this could be a dangerous team. The Defense has to be fixed.
