Chucky Bound For Raiders All Along?
January 8th, 2018A lot of Bucs fans were still in a dark depression this past weekend with the news Chucky was a done deal with the Raiders; still upset Team Glazer wouldn’t pull the lever on bringing Chucky back.
Well, we know that basically, Raiders owner Mark Davis made Chucky an offer he couldn’t refuse. And Chucky leveraged the hell out of him, possibly using Team Glazer to run up the price.
Per chewing-with-his-mouth-open, soup-gulping, California train-romancing, anti-football proliferation, outhouse-admiring, airline-napping, steerage-flying, Yogi Berra-worshiping, urinal picture-taking, video game-playing, Taylor Swift-listening, pickpocket-thwarting, Bucs-uniform-frowning, Allie-LaForce-smitten, Big-Ten-Network-hating, pedestrian-bumping, olive oil-lapping, popcorn-munching, coffee-slurping, fried-chicken-eating, oatmeal-loving, circle-jerking, craft beer-chugging, cricket-watching, scone-loathing, college football-naïve, baseball-box-score-reading, NPR-honk, filthy-hotel-staying, fight-instigating, barista-training, social activist Peter King of SI.com fame, Chucky knew Davis had been panting over him for years and likely played Davis as well.
Last week, King made his weekly appearance with the one and only Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, heard exclusively on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio, and said Davis had been trying to hire Chucky for years, but kept striking out.
“I was told that Mark Davis had gone after Jon Gruden three previous times since his father [Al Davis] died,” King said. “Three times! And he got turned down. This time, he wasn’t going to turn him down.”
Hell no, someone throwing $100 million at you and with the team on the verge of moving to Vegas shortly, who knows, maybe Chucky will get an option on a piece of a casino when he retires?
For Chucky’s sake, Joe hopes that with the move to Las Vegas, Moe Greene isn’t a silent investor with the Raiders.

Chuck is smart
This offer will make him filthy stinking rich the rest of his life…
He gets a better team than the bucs
He gets a better QB than the bucs
He gets a new city
He gets the glitz and glam of Vegas…which explode his image further
…….good for you chucky!!!!
And thank God the Glazers didn’t hire you a second time to set this franchise back another 9 or 10 years!

He dresses like Chucky, dyes his hair like Chucky, that’s like a Loreal shade 02 Blonde Sunlite..he is just obsessed with Chucky..even tries to talk like him..
Hope Chucky FAILS and then we go trade picks, a few million bucks and Chucky repeats..

@TheBucsAnthem,
Preach on! We dodged a bullet cuz as much as I love Jon Gruden for what he brought this city and his over the top personality, he is a glorified OC and not a GM/HC. Dude couldn’t draft, evaluate talent, or bring in the right FAs the minute he pushed Rich McKay out the building. He and Tony Dungy are exactly the same – coordinators and not head coaches. At least Tony Dungy had a clue as to the draft and FAs. Jon had such an ego, he thought he could turn a turd into gold.
Some things never change, he’s lucky he inherits a YOUNG playoff contender. That was the one problem with the 2002 Bucs. They were almost all nearing the end of their career. He better win at least 3 SBs with the Raiders before people start to leave or retire or get traded. Cuz the minute he has to make personnel decisions, that franchise is going to be set back to the stone age and they’re locked and loaded for 10 years.

Cam Jordan should have been a Buc!
Good job rockhead Dominik picking Adrian Clayborne over Cam Jordan!
Rockd Dom sucked

I celebrated in my own way. It’s one of the few decisions they’ve gotten right over the past few years.

I just came here to read this:
Per chewing-with-his-mouth-open, soup-gulping, California train-romancing, anti-football proliferation, outhouse-admiring, airline-napping, steerage-flying, Yogi Berra-worshiping, urinal picture-taking, video game-playing, Taylor Swift-listening, pickpocket-thwarting, Bucs-uniform-frowning, Allie-LaForce-smitten, Big-Ten-Network-hating, pedestrian-bumping, olive oil-lapping, popcorn-munching, coffee-slurping, fried-chicken-eating, oatmeal-loving, circle-jerking, craft beer-chugging, cricket-watching, scone-loathing, college football-naïve, baseball-box-score-reading, NPR-honk, filthy-hotel-staying, fight-instigating, barista-training, social activist Peter King….

Sipping on some Mad Dog and scarfing down his favorite wings Gruden said show me the money and I’ll be damn, they did! He just made Davis his bitch. Chucky couldn’t hold the clipboard of the games best, past and present. However he is slick cheesing in front of the world on MNF while getting inducted into the Bucs Ring of honor. Making a fool of the retired fat former players who paved the way for him by running one last play. How ignorant was that? What’s crazy is the wide eyed Glazer boys followed in the footsteps of the wrong Buc Big Daddy! That would be the one and only Hugh Culverhouse. Left crying at the altar, but we had a deal Chucky! Chucky has a 100 million reasons to say BAM BAM BAM sucka,I’m going to Vegas baby
January 8th, 2018 at 2:58 am
So it’s clear that this Godfather clip signifys that Mark Davis is Micheal Corleone, (who planning to move to Nevada) and the Moe Greene and the Casino represents Chucky (sort of). Chucky will get shot in the eye when he can’t produce a winner down the line.
What’s not clear from this is does this also mean that the Glazers are the Barzini family and are about to be whacked? And who in the Raiders organization represents Fredo?
January 8th, 2018 at 4:44 am
He gets better fans than the Bucs.
January 8th, 2018 at 6:48 am
Vegas has a way of taking care of those coming up short on what they owe….just saying Jon….
January 8th, 2018 at 6:58 am
Glad he’s off to the other coast……his television commentary was getting quite ordinary and he would have done nothing here, look at the talent he inherited his first go-round……he’s not a talent-finder either, not a good guy with the draft……
January 8th, 2018 at 7:03 am
Of course gruden played glazers no one takes the glazers or bucs franchise seriously… bucs will never win a game that matters with glazer clowns running the circus… and to the foolush optimists, the future holds zero hope with another decade plus in the basemen… the g lazers simply dont care abnout excellence or winning
January 8th, 2018 at 7:15 am
Whatever, the real reason why he is not our HC is because the Glazers didn’t wanted to. Chucky couldn’t draft, what a joke, he wanted Adrian Peterson and was told no just to please the great Monte Kiffin and we chose Gaines Adams, that’s the way a team respect his HC among a bunch of other bone head personnel decisions made by the ownership/GM group.
Just hope Koetter can win more than Chucky cause his success it’s going to get measured against it. Or maybe they will find more excuses for Koetter.
Go Bucs!
January 8th, 2018 at 7:31 am
I’m cool with Gruden not becoming our coach again… but given his position in the last ten years and connection with college QBs, he also connected with college coaches, he should be better in bringing in good talent
January 8th, 2018 at 7:32 am
$10 million a year for Chucky isn’t so outrageous when Jimbo Fisher makes $7.5 million annually. At least Chucky will say goodbye to his team, and not just put his Xmas tree out three weeks early with the garbage.
Chucky is twice the man Jimbo claims to be. Jimbo has no class.
January 8th, 2018 at 7:45 am
Carr is better than Jameis? Sure Anthem you keep telling yourself that.
January 8th, 2018 at 7:47 am
Chucky had one good year with bucs and never won another playoff game… He will fail miserably… these snowflake players will turn on him and tune him out within 2 years
January 8th, 2018 at 7:54 am
agree tmax….the G’Boyz had to deal with all the behind the scenes drama including whatever all the cat fighting was regarding Rich McKay forced out the door mid season …only to appear back in the RayJay a week or two later as Arthur Blanks GM…..watching his Falcons beat the Bucs at home….

Lovie Smith 2.0
January 8th, 2018 at 9:52 am
As long as he wasn’t coming here, I don’t really care where he ends up.
January 8th, 2018 at 9:56 am
Gruden will be fine. Its Our Bucs I’m worried about.
January 8th, 2018 at 10:01 am
As long as he wasn’t coming here, I don’t really care where he ends up.
“I was told that…” is the most common phrase in the media. It replaces “(name) said”. It doesn’t require any evidence. No one calls media guys out for using it…because other media uses the statement as evidence of their own.
Here’s my theory: Jon has been considering coaching again, but the right offer never came along. It was the same old story this year, until Mark Davis foolishly made an offer Gruden could not refuse.
There is zero evidence that the Glazers ever wanted Gruden…just claims not backed with evidence, and theories.
Do I doubt the Jon Gruden will have some success with the Raiders? Nope. He probably will make them a contender…briefly. He;s got a good, long contract, and I’m sure he got it in writing that he could not be fored for at least half that time. Basically, he’s now holding the Raiders hostage…they just have not realized it yet.
His faults will be covered up for the first couple years. It;s new this year. The hype will cover it. Next year, the move to Vegas will. But then things will start going downhill.
Meanwhile, we are playing in the toughest division in football. We we in any other division of the NFC, we’d have winning records. Our games were almost always close. That means we are just on the wrong side of the line, and just a little more improvement will push us over it.
We are going to be an example of Worst to First next year, cementing again that our division is the toughest.
Just think, had we still been in the NFC North, we would have won the division.

GO RAIDERS. SEE YOU IN THE SUPER BOWL 2019. WAY TO GO JON.

This offer will make him filthy rich, yeah he won’t need the food stamps or public benefits anymore now. Dude where you been for the last twenty years?
January 8th, 2018 at 11:44 am
I’m officially done with the Chucky BS. We didn’t get him and I would’ve wanted him for $10 mil/year. Why couldn’t they have just taken Mike Smith to be HC?!! It’s over. If they didn’t have Hooters over there also, maybe we could’ve got him for cheaper, but they do, so let’s squash it. Now we need to focus on all the sh!tty players and coaches that need to be cut and the draft.
January 8th, 2018 at 12:04 pm
How are we going to get next year?
January 8th, 2018 at 1:21 pm
I simply do not care about the Raiders or most of the AFC!!!
Chucky is an interesting story but at the end of the day he’s still just a football coach who btw lost more than he won with the Bucs after the SB.
I do not mind Chucky maximizing his financial future and that of his extended family…it’s the same thing the Glazers did when they leveraged the Bucs to purchase Man U. Can’t blame any of them…it’s just business.
I do cringe when I read about Chucky setting himself up for life…if he is not already set for about twenty lives he’s a MORON. How many years in a row do you have to earn in excess of a million dollars to finally be rich?
America has gone crazy with greed!!! 1% of our population own 60% of the wealth. 40% of our population own less than 1% of our wealth total.
So what do we do…cut taxes for the 1%. Just genius…and we talk about how rich is Jon Gruden is going to be because of a 100 million dollar deal.
Folks!!! Jon Gruden is NOT going to become wealthy from the Raiders deal. He’s already FABULOUSLY wealthy with more than we can even imagine.
100 million means nothing to me…anymore than a 24-21 score in a football game….just numbers on a page.
January 8th, 2018 at 3:11 pm
So glad he didn’t come back. He just played the Glazers. What a nimrod. Hey Chucky. Don’t pull a Lovie. Old school won’t make it now days.

THAT…..did us in from Chucky coming here and made up his mind
