I voted for draft position. The only thing gained from winning at this point is morale victories which dont mean anything anyway.
Although I wouldnt say Im rooting for them to lose. Im not gonna celebrate when something bad happens like turnovers or Julio Jones running around wide open.
If this game gets ugly tho it could be the final nail in the coffin for this regime.
A true fan doesn’t ever want their team to lose. I’d settle for an effort to play to their true potential tonight as I think they have not done all year. Go Bucs!
I always want the Bucs to win and will be pulling for them tonight against the dirty birds but that being said I could see how a Bucs W (probably not tonight but perhaps against a Saints team locked into a playoff seed) gets the Bucs to 5-11 and perhaps costs them a couple of spots in the draft order to other 5 win teams like the Jets (due to Bucs SOS being strong due to everyone in the NFC South except Tampa looking at double digit wins) and I really hope that does not cost them a marquee player such as Bradley Chubb who could bolster the DL; Chuckie paid that price after beating the Browns on week 16 of a 4-12 campaign only to fall 2 slots in the draft and miss out on Megatron and Joe Thomas instead ending up with the late Gaines Adams…..
You don’t have to root for them to lose….root for other teams above us to win.
Never, never, never root for your team to lose….that is a really bad prescription for a true fan.
ive been rooting for them to win all year….with that said, having a 5 game losing streak and a 6 game losing streak in the same season with this amount of talent is unacceptable…..I think the glazers have already started the new coaching search….its time for dirk to be shown the door….the sooner he’s out, the sooner we can begin to “coach the dirk out of these players”…..GO BUCS!!!!
After 9-7 last year we thought the losing culture was broken or we were at least on that path.
Then nothing changed. So what would 7-9 and last place in the division at best do to “break the losing culture” that 9-7 and missing the playoffs due to the 4th or 5th tiebreaker wouldnt?
In agreement with a lot of previous comments. CANNOT root for them to lose ever, especially against a division foe! Dammit do I want a high pick and new coach though.
Falcons have everything to play for guys. Now all you GMC haters? Watch our Defense without him. And you tell me comes Tuesday morning. WE have to outscore the Falcons and in order to do that, We..have to stop somebody. Claybon is paying with a chip on his shoulder this year. Watch him have an outstanding game against his former Bucs. NOpe..We lose..
True fan/please lose, Bucs. If THAT ain’t a friggin’ oxymoron, I will throw out my Websters! I want them to win. The problem is DKoetter in his second year as a HC. Some folks can make that transition; some can’t. Get rid of Smith, and let DK do a season coaching by himself. Smith doesn’t and never has impressed me. The defense needs new blood. However, there already is some serious talent on it to use as a base. LVD, Kwonster, Beckwith, GMC, Evans and Smith. The offense is developing into a good one. It’s Koetter who has cold feet, not these players. I’ll be doing my usual listening to the game on Bucs radio. If Koetter doesn’t start Peyton Barber, he’s an idiot. GO BUCS!!
I am NOT rooting for a loss. I used to be part of the crowd that felt the draft pick was important…then I realized Licht can pretty much nail the first pick anyway.
I think the wins are the most important aspect right now. Why? Because the losing culture needs done with. We don’t want to start next season still mired in it.
That said, even though I am rooting for a win this week, with the injuries I don’t see it happening.
The Ghost of Gruden past will be on the field and the Bucs will whoop that ass. Probably see him coaching Jameis on the sideline while Dirk pulls a GMC and starts crying in his grandma glasses and getting counseled by others. Buried Gruden in the pet cemetery and will return eating throats.
dumb ass question!! Any real BUCS FAN wants them to win every game. Thinking about draft position changes from a long shot win in our last three games is useless. Their will be great talent to choose from whatever position we wind up in the draft. Probably somewhere between 4th or 6th pick. I’ll take. Oh yeah NO KICKERS is my only request.
I agree. I thought the losing culture was gone too. It wasn’t. But losing more sure as hell won’t don’t anything to fix that. Only winning will. If 9-7 wasn’t enough to kill that culture, it’ll just take more time. But every time we lose it makes it just that much harder to get rid of that culture.
You try to win every game. Period. Anyone who has ever played competitively will tell you the same thing. Plus, there are no guarantees that the 7th player won’t out produce the 4th player taken. It takes 53 players on a roster, and if we perform well the last few games vs. playoff teams that means that the players are improving for next year as well.
The 49ers has won 3 straight since Jimmy Garoppolo became their starting QB. Now they have something to build on for next season, instead of tanking for a draft pick.
The fact is our biggest need is an edge rusher and if losing garuntees us a better chance at getting that elite pass rusher then lose! I want a Joey bosa type player and not a deforest Buckner type. Plus I have Matt Ryan on my fantasy team
I want them to win, but I also want the team to find its consistency. I don’t think our current coaching staff has the ability to get this team to where it should be. I do think Gruden would be able to bring fresh life into this team again.

Continual losing does little more than cementing the losing culture on this team even more.
Trying to exorcise that demon is more important than draft position.

heck no.
Of course this could be like when the Raheem coached bucs beat the Saints last game and the local hacks declared it a turn around.
December 18th, 2017 at 7:52 am
Root to lose????
Hell no!!!!!
I’ll be at the game representing the red and pewter to the fullest. I’m looking forward to ruining the night for the Falcons.
And what is the “root to lose” threshold? When does that start? At six or seven lost? “F” that noise! Always work for the W!!!

People here don’t realize the seriousness of what’s occurring…
We are witnessing the deterioration skill set of a franchise QB by a incompetent head coach and coaches
