NFL Network Report: “His Return Is Coming”

November 26th, 2017

America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, is “chomping at the bit” at practice, Dirk Koetter said Friday.

And this morning, there’s a new report on the health and status of Jameis.

NFL super insider Ian Rapoport was on NFL Network today talking about how well Jameis’ bad shoulder has responded to PRP injections, which Joe wrote about eight days ago.

Rapoport said Jameis will have another MRI tomorrow and the Bucs are expecting good news.

“I’m told he feels great. He looks great. And his return is coming,” Rapoport said.

Great news. Sorry, Ryan Fitzpatrick fans. Joe has great respect for what Fitzpatrick has done this season, and for what he might do today against the Falcons. But there is no quarterback controversy. Jameis, especially a healthy Jameis, is “the guy” until he proves otherwise.

We need to draft Baker in the late first or early second. You want to talk about a gunslinger and he accurate!

  2. JabooBuc Says:

    Sometimes drugs are bad Tony

  3. ChanEpic Says:

    Get well soon Jameis!

  4. Bobby M. Says:

With a potential suspension looming….i would think its in everyone’s best interest to get him back as soon as possible to get as much tape/evaluation on him and the team as possible.

  5. Clw JB Says:

Let’s hope the time away has brought insight on what he needs to focus on- calmly going thru his reads and taking what the defense gives him – on time and in a place the receivers can make YAC

  6. StPeteBucsFan Says:

I hope #3 can learn some game management skills from watching Fitz.

QB is a bit like being a physician where the command to docs is “First do no harm”. Jameis needs to learn that first…do NOT lose the game.

    Couldn’t agree more.

  8. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Tony…I just wonder if Baker is a bit immature too…but you are right..he does have a heck of an arm..

  9. Doctor Stroud Says:

Google “His Return is Coming”. Very messianic, especially on a Sunday.

  10. passthebuc Says:

Let Jameis play, we need more losses to secure a high meaningless draft pick

  11. ben Says:

Jamis -the number 1 pick in the draft has been a disappointment. Mr. Light has NOT done a great job on free agents or draft picks.

  12. MadMax Says:

Id rather move on from him…should definitely not give him a 100+ million contact. Lets see what happens the next 2 years i guess. In the mean time we need to draft another QB to at least be a great backup and possibly his successor. Or start Griffin more, lets see what he can do.

  13. DalvinCookRules Says:

Baker Mayfield is a poor man’s version of Johnny Manziel, both on-the-field and off-the-field. Fat, unathletic, inaccuarate, and a weak arm, who looks much better in college surrounded by incredible athletes (kind of how Mike Evans made Manziel look much better than he was)

In terms of character, while Jameis makes boneheaded decisions, Mayfield is just a straight-up THUG. Something between Rae Carruth and Lawrence Phillips.

  14. BrianBucs Says:

No matter if it’s Jameis or Fitz, Bucs still have the 4th best starting QB in the NFL South

  15. Hodad Says:

Suit him up, but let him be the #2 the rest of this wasted season. Wish the NFL would finish their investigation, so they can suspend him for the rest of this season instead of next.

  16. BrianBucs Says:

    NFC South ^^^

  17. Capt. Blighe Says:

Can we stop calling him Americas QB. Those days are over. I agree if Mayfield or Rosen were available to us we would have to take them. I have completely given up on him but he’s 3 years in and needs to get much better before we give him 100 million dollar deal.

  18. Blake_Bucsfan Says:

Any body on here pining for Baker Mayfield, you’re just as silly as everyone who fell for Johnny 8ball.

  19. Capt. Blighe Says:

I have not completely given up on him *Edit

  20. Roy T. Buford Says:

Great, now it will just be total media distraction when he’s back. Maybe that’s what Koetter wants as an allibi for losing 3 of the last five. I’d prefer they sit the young man out and have a look at Griffen…and save Fitz for a two-year deal so he can perhaps fill in next year for Jameis or be the “C” for the near term (if JW3 goes away).

  21. Roy T. Buford Says:

That is, when he loses three of the last five games. 0-6 in the division is a real possibility.

  22. BartButtplug Says:

Let’s trade for Bruce Gradkowski. He is amazing. Very similar to Brady.

  23. Tampabaybucfanr Says:

Being a Jameis fan, I am happy to hear his throwing & groping shoulder is healing…..

  24. MadMax Says:

    ^ ha!

  25. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I predicted two weeks ago that he would return in the game following this one.

    Great news!

  26. Lamarcus Says:

    “The Return is Coming”

    Nuff said

  27. Mike Johnson Says:

I say put Jameis out to pasture for the rest of this season. Fitz is capable and plays OK. Jameis pre-game antics does nothing for us. And one could ague we have no better chance of winning with him. We only win when we play good to great Defense. For me, Jamis Winston is not living up to expectations….as hyped!

  28. Bucnut2 Says:

Mike Johnson- What you said! We need to tank the rest of this year and draft a QB. He may be suspended 6 games next year anyway.

  29. Jman Says:

THE return of the court jester

  30. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

You people are pathetic! Doesn’t matter if the evidence the first time never proved him guilty. And that the accuser on this time maybe picking the wrong person from a styreotypical line up!

Oh well, I am sure there are a lot of innocent grabbers that post here… just like the guilty morality thumpers, who point fingers with one hand while grabbing with the other.

He without sin cast the first stone! Oh no don’t all you perfect angels throw at the same time…smh…

  31. mark2001 Says:

    Too little, too late.

  32. Eric Says:

That Goff sure has turned it around.

    I believe in Jameis.

  33. MadMax Says:

Ok Nole4, we criticize him and therefore we must be guilty of it too. lol, cant make that ish up. Alright, lets say hypothetically you’re right. Doesnt change a dmn thing. He’s the QB of the Bucs, we’re not!

  34. Bucsace Says:

Need to get Jameis out there again…….by the end of this season we should have a good indication if he is or isn’t headed for Bustville

  35. Nole4JabooANDdBucs Says:

It’s not the criticism it’s the name calling, along with the assumption of guilt. One of JW’s biggest weakness is he gives people the benefit of the doubt and his loyalty issues! He believes in trusting the process. (NAIVE)

You’re correct he is the QB and every week stands on that podium and take the blame for a lot of inaccurracies that sometimes are derived from teamates running the wrong routes.

Which is my fear with this Uber driver and who was the actual grabber!
