Mr. Steve…
You really can not help yourself. You say that Doug Martin is dragging down everyone’s average. Wrong. (Actually Joe is correct. Thanks for the link!–Joe_)

Please. Stop making yourself look foolish. Martin doesn’t look good right now. But Ira is ONE THOUSAND PERCENT correct on this. You are too narrowly focused on Martin.
Thank god for you Ira. You seem to be the only one willing to call out the O-line that doesn’t open up holes in the running game. The same line that has nearly gotten Jameis killed.

Thanks for the link, which shows that Martin’s average per carry is below the team average, and below the average of the other running backs. And of course, that’s what was stated in the podcast. … Seems your are the one narrowly focused — on discrediting Joe. –Joe

Doug Martin Average – 3.5
Jacquizz Rodgers Average – 3.6
Peyton Barber Average – 3.6
Charles Sims Average – 3.9
So we should start Sims yah? You’re really something else you know that? Never said or wrote that. Now you are misrepresenting Joe, which puts you in the comments-now-moderated bin. There’s so much to comment on other than taking shots at Joe. –Joe
Perhaps you think Ryan Fitzpatrick should be starting at Running back? Since he’s average 5.7 yards a run…

I am calling out you’re refusal to call out the O-line for clearly making it hard on the entire group of running backs.
What you said was, that Doug is dragging down everyone’s average, when the reality is, they are all struggling pretty much equally.
Actually, what you’re doing is making things up. –Joe
What me and Ira are saying, is that maybe it has something to do with the backs consistently being met by a ( or numerous ) free defenders.

I admit. I was wrong w martin. I slammed joe but joe is right. I’m manning up. Martin is wa shed. What is he doing out there? We need a run game

Hey, we are good! That’s what helps make this site great (Joe hopes), folks hammering out different opinions.

Great podcast as usual gentleman. Terrific insights when all 3 of you are gathered together.

Matin played terrible against New Orleans, but was pretty good other games. Even the head coach said he’s getting blasted in the backfield way too much, but we know, we know, that is his fault, not the o-line or playcalling.
Well, at least Ira knows!

How am I making things up?
When the player with the majority of the carries has a per-carry average below the team average, that’s called “dragging down.” It’s just math. –Joe
November 11th, 2017 at 2:42 am
His yardage per carry is literally .1 yards per carry less than the next 2 guys.
Both of whom you could also technically say are “dragging down” the teams average. But I wouldn’t say that, because it’s really dumb.
It’s clear that the Bucs are struggling to run the football as a UNIT. It’s beginning to seem more and more that you have become the Doug Martin version of Tmaxicon there Stevie boy.
NFL Football is still very much a game that comes down to blocking and tackling. And right now our QB has an injured throwing shoulder from getting sacked too hard and too frequently, and every single one of our talented running backs are rushing pretty far below the league average.
How is that not a clear indictment of the offensive line?
November 11th, 2017 at 2:43 am
If you can’t block you can’t win.
And boy are the Bucs not winning.
