Today is a must win if we are to have any sliver of hope for post season . Beating the Jets/Dolphins is fine but they are weak teams and division games count more . To heck with the train of thought of developing players and blah blah anything but winning toward a goal of playoffs ! Those dreams are old and wore out and inexcusable at this point regardless of the reasons why …..this team needs to produce ! Dig down and get it done ! Enough of the BS !

I don’t know if we convert 3rd and 9 but 3rd and 14 is a joke…I have NO sympathy for offsides…holding is a judgement call that could be made on EVERY NFL play and it’s a play of effort. Offsides is just a play of stupidity.
Instead of a “turnover chain” the Bucs need to get a replica of a human brain made from cement. We give the cement head award to any freaking player who jumps offsides!!! They can hold it till the next series. Pamphile should be hanging onto it right now!!!

Well, there we go. Dirk with the fantastic play calls. You got a defense creeping up , you think Dirk takes a shot deep? I’m probably being unfairly critical of Dirk but I’m just sick of his vanilla preseason playcalling that he’s done all season. I watch Atlanta with the PA bootleg and I’m thinking Dirk do you remember when you actually called these great plays. He’s got the perfect QB to bootleg with and he does nothing. It’s boring Bucs offense with a bunch of stars on the offense. His job simply can’t be safe.

Agreed on Evans. Fight for the damn ball instead of worrying about contact every time. The flags will come.
I also think Evans has a rep around the league as being a big strong guy who pushes off so they seem to allow DBs to play much for physical on him. Similar to LeBron in the NBA.
Evans also seems to not be as strong? Maybe all nasty hits he’s take over the last 3 years are already starting to take their toll on him?

BTW Sacks are nice but as long as we disrupt we’ll be fine…that play earlier where Matty Ice has JJ on an easy short pass but was moved off his mark and made a bad throw….and then the tipped ball…neither were sacks but both stopped the passing game.

@Unbelievable – Mike Evans is a Jumpball, Sideline catch guy. He doesn’t seem to do anything else in this offense. He NEEDS a complimentary receiver like D Jackson for his game to work. This coaching staff needs to do a better job at being creative and/or Mike Evans needs to become a more well rounded receiver. When was the last time they ran a bubble screen for Mike Evans, or a double reverse to him? The Bucs did the right thing bringing in #11 but the Bucs scheme doesn’t seem up to the task of using it’s weapons properly. IMHO.

We’ve seen some good plays with OJ and D Jax but they are few are far between. Too many screens to Hump.
And it seems every route designed for Evans has him set up to get blasted by multiple DBs with no room for YAC (if he didn’t fall of course)

We don’t always suck when the other team scores a TD. That was a terrific throw by Sanu and JJ made a play. They pay the other guys too!!! Sometimes we look horrible but sometimes it’s just the other team playing exceptionally well.
These guys did manage to reach the SB last year…and JJ is the best receiver in the game.

I hate this version and this era of the Buccaneers organization and football team. I’m so tired of wasting time watching this team look inept while 80% of football teams can at least move the ball and be competitive. The league is at least .500 overall and this team is just bad all the time. They want to be respected nationally and then you have a QB that does stupid stuff and hang with troubled people but wants to give speeches. Then you have some talent in spots but I’m not sure the franchise has ever had consistent positive movement and culture. I’m just tired man – so tired.

Our offense just went 3 and out, 3 times in a row.
Short of our 2002 defense….a once in a franchise lifetime kind of deal…the Bears got ’85….Steelers seem to have a couple…but bottom line our 2002 defense was not just spectacular….it’s very rare and we really don’t expect to see that again….nobody wins games where they consistently go 3 and out on offense.
Besides the obvious lack of scoring production of 3 3 and outs…it just gives Matty Ice…JJ…Sanu…and a talented offense how much more time to possess th ball.
We’re actually pretty lucky it’s just 17-3!!! Our D has played decently against a talented offense on their home field. Has our D looked good? At times but overall plenty of room for improvement. But as long as you O keeps going 3 and out short of a Bucs 2002 or a Bears 1985 defense you’re doomed anyway

Is howard playing today I haven’t seen him at all. That’s why this coaching staff has to go you draft a luxur pick in the first and then you don’t even use him but every third game. A qb or defensive end who actually played would have been nice. Oh well at least we can draft Roberto brother in the first round next year. And Mike Evans has two td drops. He is soft as crap today!! Actually the Falcons are simply more than ten points better than us right now.
We are not playing well or with any consistency but up until this last possession by Atlanta we had been playing hard.
It is what it is….one excellent team beating a mediocre team in their own stadium with a playoff run on the line. This game played out exactly as you’d expect.

But they came out in the second half and played well. They scored the first two times….TD’s…they had the ball. They were on the way to tying the game when they ran out of gas inside the ten.
