True or not, this new report absolutely stinks — and it’s all over the country.
The groping/sexual harassment/assault wave has found its way to America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, who has his share of experience with these kinds of allegations.
Today, Sports Illustrated typed up a piece using BuzzFeed as a source and sharing that the NFL is looking into Jameis for a March 2016 alleged incident.
The NFL is investigating an allegation that Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston groped an Uber driver last year, Buzzfeed News reports.
League investigator Lisa Friel sent a letter to the accuser confirming that the NFL is examining the matter, according to the report.
The driver, a woman identified only as Kate, says she picked up Winston in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the early morning hours of March 13. As they waited in the drive-through lane at a Mexican restaurant, Winston “reached over and he just grabbed my crotch,” the woman told Buzzfeed.
The driver lodged a formal complaint with Uber, writing that “this rider reached over and put his fingers on my crotch.”

This coming off the heels of Jameis sparking a near-melee in New Orleans when he poked Saints defender Marshon Lattimore, it’s not been a good November for Jameis.
UPDATED: Per the New York Daily News:
Winston’s representative Russ Spielman issued a statement to Buzzfeed denying the quarterback was the one involved in the incident.
“We categorically deny this allegation,” Spielman said. “It is our understanding this Uber driver was unable to identify the specific individual who allegedly touched this driver inappropriately. The only reason his name is being dragged in to this is that his Uber account was used to call the ride.”
UPDATED: The Bucs have issued a statement: “We are in the process of obtaining further information regarding today’s media report. We take these matters seriously and are fully supportive of the investigation that is being conducted by the NFL.
Jameis issues a statement on social media, per ProFootballTalk.com:
“A news organization has published a story about me regarding an alleged incident involving a female Uber driver from approximately two years ago. The story falsely accuses me of making inappropriate contact with this driver. I believe the driver was confused as to the number of passengers in the car and who was sitting next to her. The accusation is false, and given the nature of the allegation and increased awareness and consideration of these types of matters, I am addressing this false report immediately. At the time of the alleged incident, I denied the allegations to Uber, yet they still decided to suspend my account.
I am supportive of the national movement to raise awareness and develop better responses to the concerns of parties who find themselves in these types of situations, but this accusation is false. While I am certain that I did not make any inappropriate contact, I don’t want to engage in a battle with the driver and I regret if my demeanor or presence made her uncomfortable in any way.”

Al they are reporting is the investigation. They reported the letter which the league sent to the victim. They are reporting the victims side.
Not one person from the Bucs, Winston’s camp or the NFL stated there is no investigation.
You can claim it is not credible but what they are reporting on…the presence of the investigation IS TRUE.

@bonzai they sourced the NFL itself using a letter and a NFL spokesman confirmed the incident is under investigation… that is what they are reporting. They are not saying he’s guilty or he’s innocent. They are very clear with their terminology and they spoke to Winston’s lawyer.

2. The alleged victim’s story as she believed it happened
3. The response by Winston’s attorney

Jameis Winston never committed any sexual assault in his life; as anyone with a rational brain that reviewed the FSU case can see.
The accuser by default was lying (fact) based on all the changes to her story contradicting themselves and never adding up with any evidence (fact). She was able to get a payout still; despite WInston not being convicted of anything; so it’s pretty easy to see the motive beyond the typical embarrassment / regret motive.

The story falsely accuses me of making inappropriate contact with this driver. I believe the driver was confused as to the number of passengers in the car and who was sitting next to her. The accusation is false, and given the nature of the allegation and increased awareness and consideration of these types of matters, I am addressing this false report immediately. At the time of the alleged incident, I denied the allegations to Uber, yet they still decided to suspend my account.

When they started making Uber Pool and lyft Share mandatory or they would punish you..I just pretty much decided to quit..They punish you by making your app silent.
I’m a woman and I can tell you how different men act in a close confinement of a car when alcohol is involved..with the pack mentality, it became not worth the time..
Many of the 22 year olds had gone to school with my sons…so whenever I had one I would ask where they went to school and if it was one of my boys schools,,Wharton or Freedom, then I would mention I was their mother..They would behave like perfect guys..

Fameis is the new OJ Simpson.
