“I Don’t See It”

October 26th, 2017

Doesn’t eyeball fracturing.

If there is rancor or unrest in the Bucs’ locker room, you may want to hand America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, a pair of glasses or a microscope.

Today Jameis had his weekly presser and was asked about T.J. Ward going off on his lack of playing time after the groin-kick loss to Buffalo, and of shy, belly shirt-wearing, practice-hating, kicker-heckling, tree-grinding , non-contact-football-loving, chicken-wings-grilling, playing-time squawking Swaggy Baker sounding off on Twitter.

If there is discord in the locker room, it’s not on Jameis’ radar.

“That’s why I give a great amount of credit to our coach, Coach Koetter,” Jameis said. “He does a great job of leading us to make sure we are together always.

“I can’t really talk about division from a team perspective because I don’t see it. I would do everything in my power to keep this team together. [Division in the locker room,] I don’t think our head coach has any time for, or the leaders, the captains in the locker room; we don’t have time for division right now. We have to come together and keep chopping away because we know it is a long season and it is up to use to make this season positive.”

Yesterday, Joe thought Ward had a classy move to apologize and admit he’s an emotional guy who wants to win and wears his emotions on his sleeve, and he should have chosen to keep his frustrations within the walls of One Buc Palace.

The same can’t be said for Baker, who made a rare appearance in the locker room yesterday for media availability. However, Baker, when Joe approached him, wasn’t talking.

Note to Jameis..tell your Defense it needs to take a stand and start stoping somebody. If not, you can throw for 400 yrds a game..and still get beat!

I suspect there is always a degree of rancor in a losing locker room….but there is a huge difference between competence and effort….

IMO….Bucs are making every effort to win but are making crucial mistakes at the worst times….

A 75 yard 3 play drive early in the game is one thing…..late in the fourth quarter is another……a fumble by one of our more sure-handed players on the final drive deep in our territory…..fatal.

Face mask penalty on a completed 50 yard pass…..hurts badly.

When the Bucs fought back after being down 31 points away…..(yea there was some garbage points & letting off the gas by the opponents)….but still, that showed major effort.

I think the team is still together despite the occasional incompetence.

Chris Baker is a cancer. Roots for kickers to miss. Spreads the lazy culture doesn’t perform. Least favorite buc

I was all for cutting Ward and Baker upon their return from Buffalo. However, glad Ward has seen the light and understands he was just flat out wrong. Baker, on the other hand, is a cancer and should be removed. When rookies make fun of your lack of work ethic then that tells you everything you need to know.

Did you not see the empty Krystal hamburger cartons scattered around his locker? His mouth was full.

    Wrong dumpster Jason
Thats all I can say about the Baker signing.

I think our core is solid. Where we have struggled is in finding the complementary players….the no name grinders who make such a big difference.

No team is composed entirely of stars….there needs to be some “no names” contributing as well….IMHO that’s where we fall down.

Swaggy is the prime example. Do we even want his fat butt on our team at this point. Swaggy= Bruce Allen’s revenge!

  13. Defense Rules Says:

StPete, excellent point … “Our core is solid.” That’s so easy to overlook when things turn south for one reason or another & the losses start mounting up. When healthy, Bucs can hang with just about anyone. Problem is we’re not healthy in a number of starting positions (especially on defense). We’ve obviously got several starting positions that need upgrading (again, especially on defense), but our even greater need IMO is more quality rotational & depth players. This coaching staff, unfortunately, is paying the price for years of neglect & some poor personnel decisions. I just hope that the Glazers … and fans … recognize that this is an excellent coaching staff that IMO can turn this thing around if given some reasonable talent to work with. The ball’s in Jason Licht’s court right now far as I’m concerned.

Give Bill belicheat this roster, and he will take them to the super bowl. This is on the coaching. Belicheat does a helluva lot more with a helluva lot less. Just sayin
