If the Buccaneers win out the division, or have a better in-division record than the Panthers, Saints and Falcons, do they still win the division if they have a worse overall record?
Would they still make the playoffs?

It depends on how the players respond. A good long winning streak is not outside the realm of possibility, it just isn’t very likely.
I know you’re down, how could you not be after all the negativity we’ve been hearing, reading and seeing lately, but I’m still hoping for the best.

Max. Winstons accuracy is all about rythm IMO. We enter every game as a one-dimensional offense trying to chuck the ball downfield with a cold QB. Its not working and we need to adjust.

Today is a working day for me. Finished a new book this week and started a new one last night, so I’m working throughout the game today. I hope the game is too exciting to focus on writing, lol. 😉

Everybody harping on the defense this week and its fair but this team has been built to win with offense and putting up zeros through a half of football is a freaking joke. You cant tell me another coach couldnt figure this out.
We havent started off games good since Dirk took over and we still have same problems on offense that have gone unaddressed since he started calling plays. This guy hasent done anything that has impressed me in the slightest.
And if you really disect Winstons numbers you see that a great chunck of his yards come after plays breakdown….not by design. Koetter aint doing anything worth a salt here in TB.

Nice show on Fox how Palmer was 14 for 14 and Peterson was AFC Offensive player of the week. The highlights of him punking our D like they were high school players was “epic”. Sure glad we didn’t sign that old, “over the hill” AP. Of course he says he wants to play five more years, but I’d guess it will end up a couple less than that.

You watch it mark and AP wont have another day like that again. Thats because most teams have a defensive plan ready to be called on the field against a pass heavy team that decides to run the ball down your throat.
How in the world we stayed in the same defensive set through that 1st drive last week was amateur at best. We had 10 days to prepared and were unprepared. It was obvisous we were grossly outcoached and outmatched, just like last year.

jimmy… might be right, and hope so when he plays against us….but when a guy is 14/14 against you passing, and we still haven’t figured how to stop LF, among others, how can you load up against the running game? So you expect we can develop a pass rush to take away the passing efficiency all of a sudden? Would be great, but I’m not so sure.

No Mark. I dont expect us to develop any kind of passrush. Our front 4 has proven they arent capable. Of course, that doesnt have to mean doomsday for your passrush……..But it does for ours because we run the same generic four man rush on every single play. We never give any other looks or pressures no matter the down and distance. It’s beginning to drive me crazy.

I know I’m not the only one who said this but I knew Hargreaves was a better fit for Nickel. He looks better playing on the slot receiver. He can play more aggressive and use his ball skills and instincts.

I’m not giving up in this game, but we need play calling needs to improve, especially on Offense. I’m not sure if Smith wised up and is now calling plays to limit Taylor on the ground, or we’re just seeing 2 minute offense, with less opportunity for Taylor to run. We’ll find out in about 15 minutes.
