I sure hope I’m wrong but I fear that the Human ATM, (America’s Turnover Machine), Jameis Winston, will turn the ball over 2-3 times through interceptions or fumbles and make it nearly impossible for the Bucs to win. I say we run the ball the majority of the time and take a few shots deep. Jameis usually overthrows on the deep ball so maybe Jackson or Evans can snatch one or two and score without risking too much. At least a deep interception will be like a punt. We absolutely have to get a big game from Spence and McCoy in regards to getting pressure on Manning and create defensive turnovers somehow. Otherwise the Bucs get spanked and will be 1-3 after Thursday’s game with the Patriots. MUST win today to save the season. Go Bucs!

I’ve finally figured out the issue. We become very predictable when throwing out of the shotgun. However, Jameis is much better under center when its off play action. Play action only works if the running game is going well.
In other words. DIRK RUN THE DAMN BALL AND THROW OFF PLAY ACTION!

I have turned the game off once the Bucs allowed a 900 year old Qb to score. This is starting to look pathetic so can’t watch it anymore. Jameis can’t get the ball to any receivers and the running game is going nowhere. I see a big defeat coming today and maybe the Glazers will finally see that the GM and Coach are responsible.

Can we just say Drik stinks as a playcaller since becoming head coach? You have it at the half yard line and you run a toss pitch and then throw it twice? That’s awful terrible play calling. Dirk runs it up the middle 90% of the time when the game is anywhere close to close, then when it matters most he tries to get “tricky”. He’s just awful at calling plays from field level, everything he did so great in 2015 he does terrible last year and this year.

No pressure from the d-line. You shouldn’t be giving up 14 yd td runs to Eli. Or have your db’s playing 10 yes off when we got lit up last week. Well they held the Giants to 10 points in the first half – that is huge. Did OBJ come back into the game after leaving, I didn’t notice on the last drive? If not that’s huge. I don’t get how Eli doesn’t see the tape from last week and just throw wherever Grimes is not, and it seems like Grimes was mostly on Marshall. We’ll see if there are any halftime adjustments, but with our corners still playing 15 yards off the line I’d expect the Giants to come out and just dink and dunk or if OBJ is back to get it to him short and let him break tackles. However the Giants coaches are awful from everything I read so perhaps they’ll just come out and keep doing what they’ve been doing.
From the offensive side the Bucs are moving the ball at will when they are not completely predictable. So with that said I assume Dirk’s halftime adjustment will be to come out and run the ball more, up the middle, but only if it’s not at the 1 yard line. He’ll try to play protect the lead with a 6 point lead. That’s my guess, I hope Dirk for once proves me wrong. However the defense is playing well, so perhaps that gets it done in something like a 19-17 win.

If not for 4 explosive plays (thank you Giants) we’d be in serious doodoo. Koetter is calling yet another mediocre game IMO & Jameis’ inaccuracy is reaching new heights. Combine that with no DLine pressure on Eli and Folk’s misses and we’re incredibly lucky to be ahead by 6 pts at half (thanks to even worse play-calling & defense by the Giants). Very frustrating first half.

It doesn’t take a genius to understand its hard to get sacks when you play your corners 10 yds off. they can get rid of the ball quicker and give us less time to get to the qb. The Bucs will be fine if Dirk just stops being so predictable and actually mixes it up. The Giants were going to score on offense, the Bucs are down too many players for that not to be the case. But the Bucs have a good offense if they can get some decent coaching and play calling and not be so incredibly predictable.
The Giants will keep scoring, there is little doubt of that, the question is if Dirk thinks he can win on FGs or not, and so far this game he does.

Jameis has to stop throwing the ball to Jackson like he’s Evans – the guy is a little petite WR and just can’t make the same plays. With Evans it doesn’t matter if he’s covered or not, you put it where you know he can get his hands on it – but with DJax you have to lead him. It’s still a timing issue, in generally they always say it takes until about the 4th game to figure that stuff out. They’ll get there, I have no doubt.
Anywho lets see if the defense can keep it up or not, they’ve played above their heads today.
