The coaching staff fails to take hold of the team and put them in the place. This is evident by the fact Smith says the cushion VGIII is on him. The coaches aren’t leading or designing a winning formula. My positive thoughts aren’t going to change that.

As I have said before, the Buccaneers do not have the superstars on this team to win enough football games to make it to the playoffs. It’s 80 percent talent and 20 percent coaching. This teams win-loss record is s direct reflection of the scouting department. You must have the right people in these positions that assess talent correctly. That Bucs have struggled profoundly in this area for the past 15 years. Tony Dungy was the best we have ever had in the 40 year history of this team in assessing NFL level talent . Ultimately the GM will be responsible for a 2017 season of 7-9 or 8-8.

I wear Bucs gear 3-4 times a week, drive around both of my cars with Bucs places and decals everywhere I go, talk Bucs whenever can, listen to wdae, read this website, etc. This team has the talent, maybe not at safety, but they have talent… WE ARE NEVER PREPARED IS THE PROBLEM. That is on the coaching. I know this team changes coaches too frequently but I feel like that’s not a terrible thing, cut the cord early before you just waste to much time. Mike Smiths defense is aweful far to many open lanes, way to soft on coverage (I don’t care if he says that Hargraves fault). He is the damn coach. He is up in that booth, he needs to be on the field. Koetter is the head coach, he has bad clock management skills, questionable play calling and so on. I had high hopes for this team, frankly I think every year is our year, but this is crazy. The scheme is the problem the team is soft and that is a coaching issue. I don’t know if new coaches will fix the issues. Hasn’t happened in years, but I thought Hriden was the hire last time and not Koetter, I was happy to get rid of Lovie but Koetter was a question mark for me. Think about this, this would have litterally been the same team with Lovie, they litterally play the exact same way. Sorry for the long post, th aks of you read it, I’m just at a loss.

I agree, but we have to look deeper then the coaches we have to look at the scouting staff. Also look around the league there are qbs doing more with less. We have to come to terms that Winston is average and college success doesn’t always transfer over. If the defense doesn’t drop the INT Winston has thrown a INT in every game this season.

This team is unprepared in 90% of first halfs since 2015. Rarely do we ever adjust at halftime and only make plays from Winston on play breakdowns. Meanwhile our defense is getting worse and worse the longer we play under mike smith.
The awful coaching on this team is destroying the talent. We didn’t even cover the end zone on the third TD for crying out loud. We run the same generic four man rush which never generates pressure and refuse to switch up the scheme…..not even on third and very long. Our best player is our punter because gameplanning is doing more harm then good here. This team will never win a playoff game with this garbage and embarrassing gameplanning.

I saw Hundley play backup for Rodgers today. The passes were close, but not exactly there…front shoulder instead of back shoulder….two yards overthrow of Nelson…behind a guy or too high. And quite frankly, he looked more like Jameis than Rodgers…undoubtedly. I am beginning to wonder if Jameis really does have a accurate enough arm consistently to carry this team occasionally, like Rodgers has on a weekly basis for years.

This is the worst I’ve seen the Bucs look in a long, long time … defensively and offensively. Arizona’s game-plan & play-calling … on BOTH sides of the ball … has been close to perfect. Bucs came out flat (as usual nowadays) and made zero adjustments. They’re being taken to the woodshed. Sorry, but it all keeps coming back to coaching.

Has anyone seen any pass being even contested yet by the Bucs? Their receivers are at least 3 to 5 off on every catch. Our outstanding receiving Corps is getting close to zero separation. Coaching may be the problem. But players have to make plays, and if they don’t due to inconsistency, lack of concentration and effort, no play calling will work. They used to argue about the best defense…Dallas’s Flex, the Tampa two, whatever. And you know the truth? It is the players that make the Defense great. Great players make any well founded defense, great. Our players aren’t playing very well, for whatever reason.

I’m a huge Winston fan. He’s taken this team from 2 wins to a 9 win team in two years.
However, whats hurting Winston is just how good these other young QBs are playing. Dak isn’t making the dumb throws. Wentz/Goff look more accurate. Mariota when healthy seems more dynamic. Carr…is reaching great status. Watson currently leads the NFL in TD passes…
My heart said Winston could and would be better than all of them. However, based on production he just isn’t there yet. Just not consistent enough. I don’t know why. When he’s on he looks like Peyton Manning. He’s he’s off it looks like Geno Smith.
I still have hope for Jameis. I believe. I’m just not sure if Dirk/Licht are capable of getting the most out of him yet.

Bucs defense failed to take out one of the best players in the game in larry
Fitzgerald. Vh3 can’t play physical enough to slow down a tough physical receiver
like fitzgerald. But he should be up there trying and get safety help .We should have to be more prepared for AP. But maybe Jameis needs to learn something about sustaining drives. Hard to believe fitzpatrick is moving the team as bad as he looked in preseason.Jameis innaccurate deep passes kill drives.Tom Brady is working hard to improve his deep passes. Jameis needs to do what takes to improve this area of the game.

Go… I’ve seen Jameis miss reads, miss open receivers, throw into double coverage and such all year long. If guys are open and Jameis doesn’t see them, that isn’t on the coaching. it’s O bvisous this team was purely unprepared today. we came in playing soft zone and backed up giving up chucks to AP and had no audible ready to adjust. Arians made Smith look stupid on that opening drive. Smith proceeds to make himself look bad by not calling any pressure to Palmer who has struggled with it all year.
Smith didn’t even have his players ready to cover the entire right half of the end zone on the third TD. meanwhile we have our strong safety covering the sideline which is his worst attribute and our ballhawking CB stuck in man coverage which is not his strenght.
We are never prepared to start a game and it’s been that way for the totality of this coaching regime.

QUE 5 … Do you actually remember where Gruden’s offense got to with the Bucs? He was fired at a time when every beer-burping fan in the stands could tell you exactly what play was coming; the innovation in it was nil. All he did was stubbornly stuck to the principles of the WCO, despite mediocre player execution and defenses having caught up with the concepts.
Koetter gets no pass … but let’s not completely lionize the former coach who won a Super Bowl, but eventually gave us all reflux, too.

Checking in. Refs have been all over the Bucs. Cardinals aren’t anything to get excited about. I am very disappointed with offense and DK. Same thing as last year but at least Bucs aren’t getting blown out. Now, refs are throwing flags all over the place on the Cardinals. What gives? Cards were doing the same thing in the first half. Now we have to get our defense to perform and they are winded from getting dominated in TOP. We have a runblocking line and Martin looks good. No reason to keep deferring every kick and come out one dimensional leading to three and outs.
It hasnent worked since Dirk got here and never will. The moment this coaching staff learn how to gameplan is the moment we may have a shot at contending. But it’s just always too little too late with this team.
We have an offense that can win on the final possession but game management from the coaching staff never lets us get there. Well Patrick Murray made his only extra point but he certainly can’t kick an onsides kick. This is on Dirk and Mike. Nobody else. Got throttled in 1dt half without any adjustments at all on defense. I’ll state the obvious as others may have. A correctly managed game has us tied right now. If you have faith in your team you get all the points afforded to you and not start panicking trying to get touchdowns instead of kicking field goals and kicking extra points instead on two point conversions.

Dirk took lots of points off board today. Any other coach in the league has 38 in this game. We deserve better then this idiot Dirk. His game plan sucks and that’s why Brate is our top receiver today

At least I saw this team play with some heart in the second half. That’s about all I can say positive. Good to have Lavonte back too… Terrible in- game decision making by coach again.
