I’m so nervous about our Defense today with these injuries. We really need this 2-0 start so Jameis, OJ, DJ, and Godwin need to come out and try to put the fear of God in the Vikings defense. Plus i’m upset the Jags out did our blow out of the bears with how they beat the ravens. Hopefully we can put up 50 on the vikings lol!

Don’t underestimate the importance of that drive. I too did not like the playcalls as we neared their red zone. There was no reason to go away from throwing the ball over the middle. OJ is the x-factor. That’s who we should have been looking for. The Vikes can’t hang with him.

Hey Dirk, I’m no NFL coach but I have played Madden for 30 years now – and just an idea, on 3rd down don’t do a playaction pass since the other team is just playing the pass and they won’t take the bait. If you want to do a playaction pass, then do it on 1st down when you just run it up the middle nearly every single time.
Also if you are going to run a 3rd down playaction pass, then how about you pretend to run it up the middle and not run a fake sweep which you never actually run.

I’m not 100% sure but I think on a couple of these passes going in VH3’s direction, it looks to me like Beckwith isn’t getting depth on his drop. Beckwith is nowhere as fast as Kwon and I wonder if that is causing issues. Could be wrong however, hard to tell from the TV angle.

Oh god, stop with the crybaby stuff – the Bucs have ZERO depth on defense and if you paid any attention at all to anything you’d know that. The Bucs will be fine – I always had them losing this game, you don’t go on the road in the NFL and win against teams with great defenses – and you will never win anything if Ryan Smith is on your team and you let him play.

Its clearly time to start wondering if Licht is the right GM and if Jamies is the right QB. Hargraves is not good enough, J. Evans was a wasted pick when we have no running game and we did not go after Cook. And Jameis I love Jamies but he keeps making the same mistakes and he just cant seem to correct them. He can work as hard as he wants but he just cant stop with the horrible throws. Oh yeah we also drafted a kicker in the 2nd round then cut him the next year. McCoy is overrated, Ayers is done, Swaggy doesnt want to play and we keep players like Charles Sims on the roster. What kind of GM does that? OK Bucs get the ball to start the second half and they have moved the ball OK passing the ball – so hopefully Dirk doesn’t throw his traditional temper tantrum and actually tries to win the game. We can’t stop their offense, not with Ryan Smith and Chris Conte playing – so the Bucs have to score points and they literally should just onside kick everything if they score, because the Vikings are going to score at will anyways so at least try to get the ball back.

I have held judgemnet on our first rounder but, just curious has he done anything worth while yet? It may be early in the year but thats really not an excuse. I havent seen crap. i’ve always felt it was a wasted pick. Man 2 man is not working. The blitz’s are not getting there. Soft zone is not working, cover 2 man is not working. We need some either zone blitzs or just solid zone coverage. We have to get pressure and atleast attempt to cover somebody. Run D has been decent. Offensively, Jameis needs to stop being careless. We need to get play action going, get him out the pocket and keep the D honest. Ugly stuff here ladies and gents. Still another half.

Remember we are only 2 years away from Lovie. It takes 5 years to build a great team. We have not drafted well until the last 2 years and a lot of mistakes were made. Also, nothing will change until JW grows. He has not learned he has limitations and until he decides to play within his opportunities, he will remain only a good QB.

Not saying this game wouldn’t have still been in favor of Minnesota. But the officials are calling nothing on Minnesota regarding penalties…. I guarantee you if the Packers were out there and not us, Minnesota would have well over a hundred yards in penalties again. And you do have to wonder about the quality of some of the draft picks of the last couple of years, not even considering the “lost weekend” second rounder last year.

Man Hargraves was a horrible pick and most of us saw that from a mile away. Those of you going after Ryan Smith please he was a late round draft pick, Hargraves was the 11th overall pick and is getting beat like a dirty rug that is who you should be ripping as he totally sucks. 1. TRADE for a quality CB (Richard Sherman, Trumaine Johnson, etc) NOW
2. Jameis is Favre 2.0 (but will be better when all is said and done as Favre was nowhere near as good as Jameis at Jameis’ current age) and that throw he made to Rudy was insanely Favre-esque … as was the crazy one he threw that Brate came in and caught to save from being picked
3. Jameis is the man on this team and a true alpha male and leader … it’s got to be tough to stand for the anthem when not only do you have your top two receivers kneeling but you’re a black QB that people are probably expecting and wanting to take a knee
4. DO NOT GET FREAKED OUT ABOUT THIS LOSS … not only should we NOT beat a quality team in their house when we have FIVE of our top 7 defenders out (Kwon, Grimes, Spence, Baker and Ayers) but the Panthers are getting slaughtered in their own house by the horrible Saints, the Steelers are getting smacked by the Bears who we dominated and the Seahawks and Giants have both look like straight garbage all year … we may not win the division (as the Falcons look good) but we have a great shot at making the playoffs and scaring the crap out of whoever we play
5. This team is built to play up-tempo, air-it-out football … Koetter needs to get it in gear!

Some you guys just need to go away and never post here again. It was announced early this week the flu was going around the facility. Rich – The 2003 Bucs defense was the same as the 2002 Bucs defense with one exception, they took our 3rd DB and moved him to safety – then in that all-time collapse game where Dungy completely schooled Gruden on MNF, our #2 corner, Brian Kelly was injured – the Bucs had no depth at corner and Manning destroyed them, he just looked where Kelly should have been and threw the ball over and over and over again. Sure Keenum isn’t Manning, but this defense isn’t the Bucs all-time great defense.
Pretending injuries don’t matter is what cliche spewing dopes do. Of course injuries matter when you have zero depth.

Mark – This game officiating is pretty much on-par for how Bucs games always go – the Bucs don’t ever get a game where they get all the calls – or if it does happen it happens in preseason. I’d certainly say the Bucs-Rams NFC Championship game in 2000 was officiated worse.

JAMEIS’ 3rd pick is exactly why I love him as a QB and absolutely believe he will go down as an all-time great!
The pass was great and on the money and all but that’s not what I love most … what I love most is that he threw THAT pass at all. Believe me, there are a ton of NFL QBs (Dak and Mariota prime among them) that would probably never even consider throwing that pass in that situation … why … because the game is basically out of reach and it will likely hurt their “stats”.
It was the same thing last year in Dallas … Jameis made sure his hail mary at the end of the first half was in play and catchable, as well as the last gasp throw in the 4th quarter … both happened to be picked … and he didn’t care as he doesn’t care at all about “stats”, he will simply do whatever it takes to try and win the game, stats be damned AND I LOVE IT!
A game like this tells me way more about Jameis than any easy game like last week and I am happy to ride with Jameis for the next 15-20 years happily!
