Your 2017 Buccaneers 53-Man Roster
September 2nd, 2017Here is the official list!

Who is the LS?
Presumably, they bring one of the training camp guys back tomorrow.–Joe
September 2nd, 2017 at 5:35 pm
No surprises…
September 2nd, 2017 at 5:36 pm
I’d never keep 5 TEs in Madden, Licht is doing it all wrong.
September 2nd, 2017 at 5:39 pm
Griffin will go to IR tomorrow, then they can resign either Sanborn or DePaola. That’s the LS situation. Of course, I guess other LS may have been released who they like better… but anyway, tomorrow we’ll know.
September 2nd, 2017 at 5:42 pm
Munch,
Cross is a FB and special teams guy. Auclair is too talented to let go. Stocker is too good of a blocker. It’s really 4 TEs and a FB.
September 2nd, 2017 at 5:52 pm
One time for the 🍁 leaf..
September 2nd, 2017 at 5:53 pm
Damn Fitzpatrick.
September 2nd, 2017 at 5:55 pm
@joe
Josh Robinson is listed as a cb on buccaneers website. Not a safety.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:00 pm
Channing Ward is kind of a surprise for me as well as Jaq Smith making the 53 coming off the PUP. 3 Running backs is a little light.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:04 pm
Jaq smith is still on the PUP, but that counts towards the 53.
I’m guessing one of those LBs will be cut to make room for a long snapper. And yea, Josh Robinson is a cornerback, not safety (unless he’s getting the Ryan smith treatment).
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:05 pm
I’m hoping the local guy Garrison makes it. He’ll get to win a Super Bowl with the home team.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:05 pm
bucs_365 – Yeah I know, I was just using the fact I’m a Madden vet (been playing it since ’88 on the PC brah) to give myself some fake credibility, like my Madden experience means anything.
I do know this however, if I was running the franchise I’d tank for a year then trade all my picks for future picks, then repeat and repeat for a few years until I had like 15 first round picks one year and then I’d own the draft.
Oh wait, my Madden experience is good for something, I could be the GM of the Browns!
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:10 pm
Well, I got 49 of 53 right. Not too bad I guess.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:14 pm
Bonzai – I got 110 of 100 right, because I give everything 110%.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:14 pm
Munch, that’s funny stuff.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:17 pm
Unbelievable,
DE Smith will be removed from active PUP before the season starts and added to the 53. If he can’t he will be moved to reserve PUP which does not count against the 53, but cannot be activated for 6 weeks.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:17 pm
Rod Munch…
…I admit, that was funny. I wanted a snappy comeback…but that’s something I can never do better than your name does 😉
(Just messin’)
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:18 pm
Looks like Care Ride will be looking for a new driver.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:18 pm
got the response in a tad late. the Madden thing was funny. anyway, man, the Gators offense looks horrible again.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:21 pm
I would consider Ward, Lynch and a QB as possibly “vulnerable.”
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:23 pm
Oh I see what you’re saying localjoker.
I have to refresh myself on some of those intricacies every season.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:27 pm
Bonzai, that’s not a bad %. I kinda figured they’d like Auclair too much to let him go. The balls gonna be in their hands a lot this year, and good depth, and looks like real Good depth, is gonna help. We looked pretty pedestrian after Brate got hurt late last season. I’m thinking Auclair is nasty tough. Seems that way to me.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:41 pm
Who or what is “Madden”?
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:42 pm
I really wanted another chance to see the guy from Tunisia Abdel?
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:50 pm
This #93 of the gators has an UNBELIEVABLE get off. Looks like GMC out there
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:56 pm
Mike, I”ve got no dog in the fight, but Michigan pretty much said “how ya doin’ boy’s” all day. If not for the two gift pick 6’s, this one’s uglier.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:57 pm
…but yea, #93’s quick
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:59 pm
No real surprises except for Ward (I assume they kept 10 DLinemen because of Jack Smith’s return being unknown at the moment … but he must be close). Assume they kept 6 LB because of Bond’s status (he is still injured?). And tnew, 3 RBs is a little light, but it’s only for 3 games until Martin returns. Plus they used to count FB (Cross?) as being part of the RB stable I believe. All in all we’ve got a very good starting rotation on offense & defense it looks like, plus our depth has improved over last year. Outside corner & Tackle depth is still an issue I think, but our starters there are pretty solid.
September 2nd, 2017 at 6:59 pm
NFLNUT, it’s the king of video game football. I’ve never played. Too many buttons.
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:01 pm
Gilhealy
I’m an FSU fan. But I can’t get over how quick that DT is.
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:04 pm
I don’t think any1 will be drafting Florida offensive lineman any time soon. Lol
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:05 pm
I played Tecmo Bowl back in the day … just enough buttons!
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:06 pm
Gators offense was laughable today. Defense played well. Offense was offensive.
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:06 pm
Anthony Auclair Made me so proud to be a Bucs fan !!!! Go Bucs!!!
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:20 pm
Who is the long snapper?
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:21 pm
BucsCanada..
There’s a awesome Buc fan from Canada with a real cool website..he’s on twitter as allthingsbucs ….
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:23 pm
Newsome
Find out tomorrow. Or maybe read the top of this thread???????
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:40 pm
One of these sounds is not like the others,
One of these sounds doesn’t belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others?
*Ryan Fitzpatrick
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:45 pm
Mike, I’m a ‘nole man myself, but just dropped my boy off in Gainesville to start his college life. So I can root for them until the last game, sort of. I like our chances tonite if we give Francois time. That kid sits in the pocket and takes the shots. Too many last year. But give him time…I think it’ll be the defense that makes the difference. Good or bad. I never know about the db’s. We’ll see.
September 2nd, 2017 at 7:57 pm
@Joe(s): this list seems to reflect the depth chart as well. For example, is Godwin officially listed ahead of Humphries?
September 2nd, 2017 at 8:04 pm
Glad to see Auclair made it and our lousy 5th round bust by Licht didn’t. Jalen should have been too. Surely there is one Safety on the waiver wire now that can tackle better than Jalen!
September 2nd, 2017 at 8:41 pm
@OwlyKat
Jesus I hope that you aren’t talking about Jalen Ramsey. We had no shot at the guy, and that was 2 years ago. Get over it.
September 2nd, 2017 at 8:49 pm
Blake
Ignore him. He’s a Jason Licht hater. Always trolling and talking out his azz
September 2nd, 2017 at 8:55 pm
This FSU line is gonna get Frenchy killed. SMH
September 2nd, 2017 at 9:01 pm
Seferian Jenkins and Johnathan Banks cut too
September 2nd, 2017 at 9:03 pm
SCBucs,,wow!! ASJ out??!! wow..
September 2nd, 2017 at 9:04 pm
Oh wait..SCBucs..just read he’s suspended first two games but not cut..got to find out more..
September 2nd, 2017 at 9:06 pm
Thanks, was just reading the cuts and he was on it but I might be wrong
September 2nd, 2017 at 9:37 pm
Owlykat is a tool. Wanted Tebow back in the day
September 2nd, 2017 at 10:17 pm
The only surprises to me are Auclair and Siliga making it. There still likely on the bubble when Licht picks up a few players waived by other teams. Would of been nice if George Johnson would of amounted to something here.
Hopefully JMAC, Dye, Huff, Liedke, Sefo, Bullough, Josh Allen, and Abdesmad makes the practice squad. Two new defensive additions from other teams waived players.
A cool contest would be the Joe’s gets a autographed jersey from Jameis to the person that get’s closest to the actual practice squad. Here’s my entry!!
September 2nd, 2017 at 10:33 pm
This reveals much on the 2018 draft. RB, OT, DT, DE and CB top needs. Let’s play some football!!! GO BUCS!!!!
September 2nd, 2017 at 10:34 pm
Derwin James is an animal
September 2nd, 2017 at 10:38 pm
Ball game. Fire the special teams coordinator.
September 2nd, 2017 at 10:40 pm
Fluck FSU special teams.
September 2nd, 2017 at 10:50 pm
Special Teams doomed them. They need to make the score closer so they don’t drop much in polls.
September 2nd, 2017 at 11:29 pm
Its pretty obvious the defense has been neglected in the draft. Time to start adding some top shelf talent on the line and dbs. Lbs look good. Cb is super thin, lots of boom or bust potential on d line.
September 2nd, 2017 at 11:54 pm
DE JSmith was taken off PUP. I wonder if he will play game 1. I wish Licht would of drafted DE in the 2nd Rd!
September 3rd, 2017 at 12:27 am
I wouldn’t knock the Browns too much they have added a ton of talent to their team and are making trading and roster management an art.
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:06 am
Our newest thumper… DJ Ward… Who does he replace?
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:08 am
Replaces conte
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:12 am
Sorry… T.J. Ward
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:15 am
I can’t believe Martin made it. Jose must be losing their mind
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:15 am
Is that confirmed or no
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:16 am
About TJ Ward
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:17 am
*Joe’s haha. still love ya almost as much I believe in Dougie
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:25 am
Yes it is confirmed Dano, well, in a sense. He is reportedly expected to sign with us. Which, in these days, is basically a confirmation.
And upon knowing that, Kudos to Licht for pouncing on a Rangy Thumper of a safety, while at the same time adding a 3 time probowler type talent into our secondary.
Which is a definite win for us.
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:31 am
Wow! Bucs getting TJ Ward makes me feel better after watching my Noles self-destruct.
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:33 am
I hope they do something about DE
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:39 am
I guess “The Eraser” wasn’t ready.
September 3rd, 2017 at 1:52 am
Joe… please use the word “Thumper” in your waking headlines… I think some of the fun of being a part of your site is that you involve us… “Thumper T.J. Ward”!
September 3rd, 2017 at 2:01 am
So sad that you have to make up stuff and insult Joe.–Joe
