“The Belly Brothers”
August 23rd, 2017Joe has to hand it to practice-hating, kicker-heckling, tree-grinding Chris Baker.
The Bucs defensive end, one of the heralded additions in the spring free agent haul, was shown on Hard Knocks practicing at Jacksonville against the Jags with rookie round mound of manhood Stevie T.
The defense suffocated the offense of the Jags.
At one point, Baker, who seems to be always yapping, hollered as he congratulated Stevie T, “The Belly Brothers!”
Now this is good stuff. Baker is a large man himself and, well, Joe can see a goal-line defense of Stevie T playing on the line next to Baker and GMC, say in a five-man front. That’s some serious beef to move off the ball there.
Joe can just imagine winning Bucs coach Dirk Koetter yelling for a goal-line defense, “Belly Brothers!”

Joe’s first “positive” Swaggy story is complimenting him for being remarkably being fat… Nailed it.

@joe
So you like my 5 man front comment huh?
That’s what I’m talking about!
My name is Joe by the way.
But Stevie T would only come in on a SIX man front. Goal-line defense.

Touché birdman

There were several scenes of Baker just thrashing OLmen across from him like they were toys…

Thank Gawd they singed Swaggy,if you think every player in the league gose full tilt in practice you fooling yourself. This very large man smartly saves him self for GAMEDAY. All you naysayers will be swinging from him when the regular begins. I’m yet to here one coach complain about him why??? Because they knew All that was needed to know prior to signing him. The show went off with #1 on the rookie list “Baker won’t do more than 3 reps”. Have you heard any Negative remarks from Jay Hayes??? No! Why Because Jay Hayes knows what he has in that football player people.

You don’t stick around the NFL d@$! near ten years if you lazy and unproductive. He may have lazy practice habits but obviously he’s doing something right come GAMEDAY.

Like the first words that came from that organization mouth about Swaggy when Licht inquired wasn’t “he ain’t much “. Lichts response in sure went along the lines of “I don’t give a s@$! about his practice habits”, I need that monster on GAMEDAYS”.

Whats up with Baker? Man, he talks cash Sh.. daily! Doing the nasty with a palm tree on HBO and laughing. Sapp did the same thing. But Sapp..was the man! Will trash talkin Baker be cut? Or is it Coach Koetter sees him as a game player who turns it on once the game starts. Cause seems like he just lays around eatin snacks and talkin smack.

I do Pick. I think he’s about to be the corner stone of defense this season.

He understands his body. He doesnt need to put in a big cardio workout everyday. He is supposed to be fat! Hard to move, anchor type of player. He plays at a weight that he can still be explosive though. Think of a Vince Wilfork type of player. Huge dude, but was a hell of an athlete. Baker may not be on Wilfork’s level. But he is that type of body.
