Strong Game By Nick Folk
August 26th, 2017There was a lot not to like about the Bucs’ dress rehearsal for Miami tonight against the Browns.
One element that was comforting, however, was the kicking. Yes, kicking! How long has it been since we’ve said that?
Nick Folk, who won the kicking job because Roberto Aguayo lost his, gave winning Bucs coach Dirk Koetter the shivers last week when he had an extra point blocked and missed a 40-yard field goal against Jacksonville.
Folk made up for it tonight hitting his first three attempts, from 31, 42 and 43 yards. His second kick was about as down the middle as it could be. His third kick came in the rain.
With Aguayo, a simple 40-yard field goal was a prayer, even in perfect weather conditions.
To wrap up training camp Wednesday, Folk made all of his field goal attempts kicking at the skinny posts.
At least for a few days, the kicking game hasn’t made Koetter reach for a bottle of TUMS.

So can somebody tell me the final score?
I’m in the middle of nowhere and the freaking NFL highlights were of LAST YEAR’S game!!!
Did we win 9-6? No TD’s by either team?

These refs are garbage. I’m assuming they all get cut as well?

Fitzpatrick will not make this team. I bet our backup isn’t even on this team.

LOL Nick Folk many points this pre season………The rest of the offense including Jameis???
I hope Koetter is a Genius and is saving everything for later Cause I think Jameis is the Only Starting QB to NOT have thrown a TD this Preseason

He did Joe. Relax all you folk haters. He is a long time nfl kicker. That means the pressure doesnt bother him much. He will miss some kicks of course but at least now i dont have to change the channel when they line up to kick. Ahhh less blood pressure medicine too. Go Bucs

Here’s how it usually unfolds. Teams that look all great in the pre season don’t amount to much come the regular season. You folks really believe we are about to have issues scoring??? Really.. The Dye reception was a beautiful pass from Fameis. And to my eye that was a Touchdown. Refs looked under the hood and decided one of guys said no go so no touch. As the kicking is concerned, I’m sure there a lot folk out there wishing we had stayed the course with berto. The last thing they wanna see this team with is solid place kicking. Trust me.
